Eden waited in the shadows, almost invisible, for Evan to catch up.

Evan walked out and looked at Eden after spotting her. "The grassy area of the field?"

"Not there yet." Excitedly, Eden took the girl by the wrist and ran a bit further to a giant oak that was on the border of the property. She began to climb, pausing every few minutes to check how Evan was doing.

Evan followed up easily after Eden. She had never been one of the cute little girls who wore dresses. She had been the one that was always climbing.

Eden climbed up to the very top of the tree, helping Evan up beside her. Spanned out in front of them was a wide view of the forest draped with a sky full of twinkling stars. The full moon illuminated it all.

Evan sighed contently. "Wow. I never knew that you could find such a beautiful view in an insane asylum." She smiled warmly over to Eden then took her hand.

Eden smiled back, entwining her fingers with the girls. "Technically you can escape from here too." She pointed to the branch that was hanging over the electric fence. "I've just never found a reason to do it."

Evan smirked. "Oh yeah Iv'e found that most inescapable places are actually bogus. There's always a place to escape." She looked at Eden saddly. "But I just found something good so I'm not going to leave this place." She said then let her gaze go back to the stars. "You really are gorgeous Eden. I don't say things that I don't mean."

Evan looked down toward the ground her cheeks blazing. She wasn't sure what had come over her today but whatever was happing... made her feel different. Passionate, carin... Everything that she wasn't.

Eden stared up at the stars. She smiled. For the first time, in a very long time, she was at peace.

Evan looked over to Eden. "It reminds my of when Mom and Dad were alive. We used to go out to the backyard and camp."

Eden smiled. "I remember camping with my parents too...well.." She paused. "I guess that was our lifestyle anyway."
