Origins of the Plated Soul

2022, January 23, an engineer by the name of William Wynn revolutionized the building industry. But his revolutionary ideas also damned the world and its method of war. The idea was simple, just as a human can build a Lego house or a sand castle in a short amount of time, why cant a giant human create a building in virtually the same time?

He created giant robots to construct buildings in a matter of days. It was cheaper, faster, and more convenient than average tractors and machines. The robots were much smaller in scale than now, but they got the job done well.

In 2086, March 15, a few new elements were discovered. They were truly amazing. They seemed to be invincible. Scientists had trouble breaking, melting, even combining these elements with others. Because of this the elements attracted alot of attention from the governments of the world.

Though it was hard and expensive to create objects out of these elements, the U.S., Russian, Korean, Chinese, and German armies began to use them as armor. They could be thin and light weight and still wouldn't have a scratch. Other armies began to look into these elements to counter the "Invincible Warriors" the elements created. New weapons were made which revealed one fatal flaw, the armor was weak to the new elements, the very elements that created it.

In 2092, not even ten years later, a new power source was discovered. It surpassed solar energy, or even the power of oxygen. Its power was immense ans it was unlimited. If harnessed right it could power whole counties. Not only could it perform these amazing feats but it could also be used to melt and mold the new elements.

After a long period of war in various countries, armies began to take Wynn's idea and the new elements and combined them. Giant robots made out of these new elements, with weapons to match, and powered by this new power source flourished through the battle fields. Not only were less soldiers needed but they lasted longer. But as war advanced so did technology.

Armies soon found that larger robots did better in battle, so robots became bigger. They became more flexible to, making mountain and city battles alot easier. With more flexibility more weapons could be added, more destruction could be done, more power could be gained. But all of this for what? More dirt in your country? A lower population? A tainted soul?

Here's and idea of what we're up against soldier. It's not pretty, it's not lovely. It may be scary, but this is war. You're just here to survive.

Welcome. Here is out progress so far...

While west was headed back to camp he became engaged in combat against three plateds. At his side was one of his best friends Dan.

"Hey West, you ready to head back? It's like your fifth day straight," a voice said over a private intercom. A voice replied to it. The voice was a bit deep and strong yet was exhausted. "Na man, I need to protect yo a** from all these big bad machines." Both voices began to laugh." The original voice responded, "Come on West, I'll cover you. You need rest. Let's go!" West's voice responded once more, "Thanks Dan. Alright, in T minus 3... 2... 1...

Two large robots glided through the sand with great speed. Dust filled the air from near by explosions and boosters, covering up the glows of the two robot's boosters. One robot was very blocky and heavy looking, the other more round and a bit smaller. They drifted back and forth past each other, much like two drunken drivers.

A sound like rocks stuck between gears could be heard close by as the smaller bot was hit in the back of its left shoulder. The sound was loud and fast, obviously a sign of danger. Both robots whipped around and began firing their own guns into the deep abyss of sand. Bullets began flying back and forth and soon 3 other robots flew into visibility. The three where identical and all reversed jointed. The battle soon turned into a fight of light and sound. All that could be seen through the sand were flying yellow lights and explosions.
