Welcome to the guild, whether you are just browsing or have become a member! Feel free to post in ANY thread, no matter how old, and before making a new thread, check if there is already a place to post such information. All truth goes through three stages: 1. First, it is ridiculed. 2. Second, it is violently opposed. 3. Finally, it is accepted as self-evident “All truth passes through three phases. First it's thought absurd and is ridiculed. Next it is considered dangerous to the status quo and is viciously attacked. Finally, it is accepted as wholesome and considered self-evident.” - Arthur SchopenhauerBefore you continue researching the topics of interest below, remember to clear your slate and look at both sides of the story. For the most part you already know the side of the story you believe, so start with the truther topics below, and see why people say it's the truth. Then after a fair amount of research your conscience should start to kick in and tell yourself if you believe it or not. Throughout the guild I have linked videos and articles that I believe to be fairly accurate and truthful, but there are plenty more articles and videos out there on these topics. I'm not asking you to believe me just because I believe it. I'm asking you to do your own research! I highly encourage you to watch this video before any others. Quote: Then after a fair amount of research your conscience should start to kick in and tell yourself if you believe it or not. My conscience has very little to do with what I consider 'truth'. Also, as the only real research I can do is online, [a medium which I often find it difficult to trust in on account of the ability of people to lie, and the probability of people to do so] I do not consider myself equipped to do the required research.
I should like to consider myself a fairly intelligent person, although I like to oppose the majority of your 'truths' on account of an argumentative personality. Pray, what do you advise a sheep to do when she is unable to find trustworthy resources for research?

How do you propose I differentiate between the truth and the lies? It seems to me that the only option at this juncture would be reading a vast amount of varying opinions and then seeing which are the most common, and therefore more likely. I would then be depending on the majority of the people behind the opinions telling the truth. Of course, this would be easier if I knew them personally, but this is so unlikely I would much rather leave myself in a bubble of my own subjective truth were I repeatedly get labeled as a sheep, and yet, believe it or not, I am happier, and far less often lied too.

Obviously you know that doesn't mean it's the truth. You will find the truth when things start to make complete sense to you, as the truth does not contradict itself. I'm sorry I'm not of more help, I can only repeat to just research research research and you will conclude what you accept as truth over time.

What I accept as truth, and for that matter, what you accept as truth, is still not necessarily truth. What makes sense is often not the truth. If I am simply to research until I find my truth surely this is a never ending research. for there is always every chance there is a different truth, which in turn would mean you have not finished your research, so what makes you qualified to teach others?

I have 3 pages open to subjects I'm looking into at this very moment. I think you misunderstand the purpose of this guild. I am NOT a teacher. I am simply showing you the path. You chose to follow it or not. I specifically say not to accept what I say as truth just because I believe it. I've listed topics and links for you to explore and expand your own awareness. The links are just places to start, there are obviously other sources out there.

woah. Those vidoes really do make you think deeper about life... Doesnt mean they are 100% true, but they definantly make you wonder... *(I only say the "100%" part because I dont feel I can ever trust anything 100% any more :/ )

I tried to find a forum where I could post this. That front page kinda scared me half-way through. DOes that mean I shouldn't go to my middle school anymore? They just teach us math and english(and the other required classes like science)! And basically, governments all over the planet are killing the paradise the Lord made for us?

You're the second person to ask if they should quit school, I'm going to have to add something to the main page regarding this. Simply put, unless your parents will home school you, or you can do long distance education.. then NO, DO NOT QUIT SCHOOL! You NEED a grade 12 diploma or G.E.D to get a job in this ******** up world. Even minimum wage jobs like McDonalds will frown upon you if you are a drop out. Just do your best to pass (more-so if you need secondary education for your chosen career) and self educate. The only class in school I would suggest not taking, is history. But make sure to educate yourself on history, as it is important to know.

There are some things like math and science that can't be tainted, as there isn't very much ambiguity to it. Same with English; you either know the language or you don't.
I'd advocate as much education as you can get or want. However, just because you are taught something in school I don't think you should automatically believe it wholeheartedly. Check the facts independently. This may not even be something sinister; sometimes schools are forced to use out-dated textbooks, or the teachers just aren't keeping up with the latest advancements in a particular subject. You have to take an active role in your education. I think that's the main problem with the education system.

akumako inuzuka whats the thoughts on religion here? All religious beliefs are personal beliefs (not the guild as a whole), you can believe anything you want to and we're okay with it. Go to the supernatural, 2012, God, Aliens subforum to discuss religion with others 3nodding
