Peering out from the dished rockface she'd found, Sikilizana regarded the world. Today, it looked more like a festering wound than a beautiful earth.

The rain came down in torrent sheets. The land beneath it was scarred, bubbling where air mixed with water and foamed. Much like the dying breath of a herd-animal when caught.

Would the rain let up? Only the gods could decide. Plural. And, as she held up a wing and backed once more into the small cavity that had been shaped from those waters, she was reminded of the fact her domain did not cover such a thing.

It was a gift, she thought, to be able to step her perfectly white paws out into the slippery earth and watch the brown color splash up her legs. Her wings prevented the majority of the onslaught, but they dripped and sagged with the heavy water as Siki went in search of a mortal she'd seen earlier that had dreams to big for his mind. A good prospect, if she ever saw one.

The rain never really bothered her, while water came down from the heavens and soacked her jet black coat she could own the water, it blonged to her when it touched her and soacked through to the skin beneath. Her two, tiny pairs of wings flickered musically every so often casting away tiny droplets. Loosing a few rain drops wasn't too upsetting. Still, the rain never upset her, she was large enough really to barely feel the sheets of water and water meant thatc reatures would want, want for the watering holes, want for their children, want for more grass as the herds moved in, want lead to greed, the rains, she liked the rains really.

Eyes as black as coals watched the world before her and they fell, without any hesitation upon the pale form of the other goddess. Oh really, she looked lost, lost for gods sake! In the mortal world where they were the MOST powerful wonderful things.

Pursing her lips she makes a beeline for her daughter, the one thing she had truely lost her entire life, the one thing she had not been able to keep as her own, her ebellious little child. "Sikilizana." She called, her voice a demanding tenor she had always refused to shorten her daughters name, it was her name she should use all of it. "Really dahling, you look like a drowned cat!" She sniffs her dissaproval, lifting her dark head, her soft blond locks flattened against her forehead, the rain did not change the size of the overbearing goddess, she was still as wide as she was tall, her form seeming to fill any space she decided to occupy.

It was nearly impossible not to see a god when they decided to approach you in their full form. Perhaps it would have been smart to disguise herself as a mortal. Her mother would likely still have recognized her then.

Ears swivelling in disgust, Sikilizana turned herself around, making tight circles in the mud as she faced her mother.

There was a click of her own tongue against the roof of her mouth before she pinned her ears completely.

"What do you want, Ubuge?" The sound came out as a growling hiss. She refused to call her mother. There was no reason to admit any relation to the spawn of disgust that her mother represented.

It was doubtful her mother would walk up to her without a reason - it would probably the same reason as always. Siki wanted nothing to do with it.

It took every ounce of her self control not to snap at her unruely daughter. "Really dahling, there is simply no need to be rude." She looked hurt, at least her expression did, her eyes were as always black as the ace of spades, showing no ounce of feeling to them. She had, had these conversations with her child before, in a way,s he knew that her daughter would never rejoin her, she would never walk at her side again, because she was greed and she wanted her because she had to want her. There was somehting under that though and hearing her own clild call her by her name both hurt and irked her, not that she would ever admit that, it wasn't in her nature to admit she loved something more than she wanted it.

"You could at least call me mother Sikilizana." She looks down her nose at her daughter taking a step closer to her child, a step which was quicker than it seemed someone with all that bulk could shift. "Really sweety you should not be out in the rain, it makes you look even scrawnier than you are, have you even been eating at all?" She raises a brow, her voice as always was full of snobbery, her words were meant to be caring, kind even, but she could never really pull those particular sentiments off.

Holding a paw out to her child she twittles her toes in a 'come here' manner. "Come, let me see you." She snips impaitently, she wasn;t used to being told no, she was hardly ever told no.

If her mother dared to call her dahling one more time, Sikilizana felt she was going to snap. The hurt looked caused her muscles to tense up in discomfort. The bile in her throat was swallowed, but her eyebrows furrowed all the further as she narrowed all the further.

The step forwards was taken with a step back from Sikilizana's end. "Oh? Just because you call me daughter, you expect me to keep up the act?" she asked, the disbelief obvious in her voice as her mother requested something. No, no, that Siki could deny, and she would continue to do so.

At the scrawny comment, Sikilizana looked as though she'd been smacked across the face with a paw. With derision, she shook her self free of what water she could and responded, haughtily, "I eat what I need. Nothing else."

The worst was coming, definitely. The line in particular was nothing to be afraid of, but her action against it was. There was a moment where she almost took that step forwards. Her feet quivered and one paw slid in the direction of her mother.

But, then she caught onto the impatience in the nature of her voice. A smile split over her lips and she turned slightly to the right, heading away from her mother with her head down.

"No," was her firm answer. "Stop coddling me like I'm a child. I have nothing for you anymore."

Ubuge raises both brows, she takes a deep breath and starts to follow after her unruely child "I'm only saying my little love, you look very thin, perhaps you should try eating more, you know, ladies of our line my dahling, we have to be large and in charge so that males don't walk all over us." She catches up to the slender pale body of her child before stepping in front of her and raising both brows.

"You are still my daughter, even if you are no longer little, won't you at least humor your mother hmm?" she looks down at the child she had once carried and coddled and, loved, perhaps loved, she couldn't completely admit the love she felt for the child before her.

"Now, give your mother a hug." She purses her lips and holds out a paw once more her dark eyes flickering for a moment, flashing with a spark of warning, she wouldn't be dissobeyed forever, she had the paitence of a saint, sometimes, when it came to her prey, but when it came to her dissobedient child, she had a fuse which was swifly sizzling down seemingly being helped by the onsslaught of rain which battered off her drenched bulk.

The words caused Sikilizana to stop. For a moment, she looked back, waiting for her mother to catch up. It was with skeptical eyes that she regarded the large display of a goddess before her. Men, she had found, did not walk over women in any degree. It was a myth; she'd proven it every time she'd seduced a mortal or swept one away into foolishness. She could hold her own. She was sure of it.

The muscles in her body were beginning to shake with the upset. It was her mother, no one else, who knew how to get under her skin. Maybe it was the way she said it, maybe it was just having to watch that maw move when the sound came out, but no one would ever affect her with quite the same degree of repulsion.

It took three, deep long breaths for her to control herself, keep herself from snapping. She hated looking horrible in that lion's eyes, and hated looking good even more. She couldn't win. It made her sick.

On the last breath, she swished her tongue on the inside of her mouth and spit once, angrily on the ground beneath her mother's paw.

"Have that instead," she snarled, her body already coiled up inside and ready for consequences whether they be words or actions.

She had to keep fighting this. It was her task. Her obsession.

"Really child! I did not teach you to be this uncouth!" She snaps reaching out a paw and clasping her daughters shoulders. "You know it is rude to spit!" She takes a deep rasping breath. "Do you have no repect for your elders and betters? I swear I should dissown you for such a display to your own mother." It was a hollow threat, she could never dissown this child, she belonged to her wheather she dissagreed or not.

She unsheathes her claws and presses ever so slightly. "Greet your mother properly this instant Sikilizana, I won't be dissobayed by you or anyone." She hisses through ehr teeth, her dark eyes flashing red, that fuse had certainly fizzed out, but instead of all out attacking she was demanding the, affection, she had asked for from the young goddess.

"Why is it so much for you to give your flesh and blood some affection hmm? Really dahling you know I love you, all I want is to see you and be ackknowleged by my own daughter." She rants, her words, though trying to be sincere, came out in a some what sarcastic manner, this was the only way she could tell the child her half, hashed together truths. She knew some where, behind the recesses of want of greed, of her own obsession, that she loved this child who belonged to her in the maternal sence, she simply could not tell her truthfully these words. That was not what she was. She was greed,s he wanted her child with her, even if it was only for a moment, and all of this, snapping and anger made her simply angry and ultimately more determined to have her child back in her arms, the stubborn ones were always the most fun to convince, to manipulate.

If only this was simply stubborness, she wanted her child and she refused to come back to her. It was very, irksome, and that was an understatement, she was not used to being told NO.

It had not been as bad as she thought it would be. Though she noticeably flinched at the paw on her shoulders, it turned out to be just pressure. The disowning sounded like a good punishment. Siki thought she'd just love to start disrespecting elders, and especially betters.

There was no answer to the fake words of love, but her body shifted to underneath the exposure of claws and her eyes closed tight in obvious disgust. She was losing, losing all over again and part of her was almost scared.

There was a huge choice she had to make here. If she obeyed, her own conscious would never forgive her. But, if she disobeyed. . .

"Stop," she snarled. "Just stop." It started as a whisper and then it continued, getting louder until she was practically screaming it.

"Mother." The word was thick, unwilled, but there all the same. She pulled back, feeling the claws dig against her shoulder as she ripped away, backstepping as fast as she could.

"Get out of my sight. This conversation is finished."

The large goddess watched as her daughter struggled from under her grip. She often wondered if she would actually injure this child, if she would attack and forcebly hurt, if she could. She wasn't sure,s he wanted her back in her life so baddly, but not enough to injure her to the point where the little obsessed goddess would need her, need her like she did when she was but a tiny child, the cub at her knee, learning to be a good little goddess. No, anything else in the world, it would only take a thought and she would crush the rebellion right out of them. But her cub, her beautiful little child, she couldn't do it. It was very annoying to be unable to obey even herself in this matter.

She sighs heavily setting her paw back on the ground. "Theres MY girl." She smiles, putting emphesis on the word 'my' more than she really meant to. "I was just on my way any way dahling, I'm this way for a mortal." She takes a deep, sucking breath "Can you smell him dahling? It started out as want and grew to obsession, he is so close to greed I can taste it." She licks her lips her tongue savouring soemthing invisable.

"Come, walk with me a few steps before we part ways, I hate for us to be fighting my love, I prefere we part on nicer terms. Sikilizana, come, I only want a moment of your time dahling, really can't you provide your own mother with a moment hmm?" She could ignore the spiteful words, she always found she could, she could just dominate the child, the child of her heart, she could ignore the hatred she held, she wondered why she ignored it, always wondered why she couldn't just manipulate, dominate, own the child again, why she was allowed to be free, to not belong to her any more.

The answer never came, no matter how many times she asked it.

How quaint. If Sikilizana were to guess correctly, they were here for the same mortal. It left her stomach reeling to think, not only of the prospect of having to share, but that their targets were so similar. It was just so nice that Ubuge considered the heiarchy to be greed in the end.

But, when it came to things, she supposed all obsessive lusting over those were greed. It made her want to toss away the rings on her ears and tail and live with nothing.

"No. I am meeting someone." A lie, thick through her teeth. She hated lying, but with her mother, sometimes she had to.

"I am already making them wait." There was a moment where her eyes flicked to meet her mothers in insecurity. It would betray her lie, but by then she had taken the few steps required to vanish and had telaported somewhere, anywhere, that wasn't her mother's presence. She could have the mortal.

Ubuge watches quietly the movement in her daughters mind, they were here for the same thing. She knew it without thinking. She very almost offered to share, share, it was a word not usually in her vocabulary and it made her feel very strange on the inside.

The lie though twinkling in her daughters eyes made her feel that familiar flame of anger thats he felt at her dissobedient daughter. "Fine fine dahling, you run along and play now, I'll see you soon." She puurrs watching as the pale goddess vanished in a shimmer of the world.

Shaking her pale head she settles her thoughts returning to her usual, singular state of mind. There was a greedy one out there and she would own him, he would be a poor substitutuion for hte pale goddess whom she wanted, but he would fill a gap at least until he passed away.

"I'll see you again soon." She whispers to herself continuing on her beeline for the mortal whos soul she would snatch and make her own.
