Hydro walked slowly down the mountain path feeling a little dreary after recently taking on the job of being a nanny. She didn't have the basket this day because the mother was going to be home more. She didn't mind looking after it, but it just tired her out. She wanted to make sure it was safe and when she thought danger was around, she would move it a great distance. She didn't know why she did this and maybe it was her motherly instinct kicking in. Either way it was new to her.
Flicking her tail, she walked more feeling like her hooves were 1000 lbs on each foot. She occassionally drug them, which wasn't a good thing for her because she knew her legs would be hurting for a bit after it. She just wanted some kind of rest. Her mood was sour and her patience was on wits end. The last thing she wanted to deal with this day with a moody horse like herself. "Hmmm let me go to the stream." She said faintly as she trotted along the path finding a little bit of energy to do this. It was probably all the energy she had left in her system. She wasn't expecting a basket to tire her out this badly. She couldn't wait to see how much the foal drained her.
Once she reached the stream, she flopped down on the ground and took a drink from the stream feeling a little refreshed from it. "Mmmm maybe it's not going to be a bad day after all." She said some as she looked around the empty field feeling lonely. She always felt this way when she had no one to talk to and had been grateful that at least the basket gave her some company. Now without the basket, she was by herself waiting for a passerby or something. She huffed at the sun before taking another drink from the stream thinking of the basket now. It usually made her upset when she thought of such a thing since she didn't see herself having children. She thought of the basket as her own child and even if it grew up she could care for it. Though if it turned into a handsome stallion she didn't know what she would do. Mainly because it might be weird for her to fall in love with someone she cared for their whole life.
Shaking her head of the thoughts, she sighed and thought about the bright blue sky lingering above her.
