All right. . . So I tried to get this pack idea started a few years previous but no one seemed interested. I figure I'm going to try it again after some encouragement from people just to see who might be inclined. . .
SO! I created the diseased pride over in SoA which turned out rather well (or at least it looks to be, as I'm still waiting on a reply from the mule whether or not we're allowed to become a pride things are in limbo) . . . But that idea had been inspired by a desire to create a wolf pack of disease-carrying wolves.
SO HERE I TRY AGAIN!
Don't worry, this pack isn't as friendly as the pride of SoA's. . . teehee.
Still interested? There's more information below. Since Uta has a fondness for illness and disease, I think this could be fun and make some interesting twists when it comes to dealing with other neighboring packs.

I created a pair of wolves that specifically are carriers of the plague. Meet Adenru.

This gentleman is the brother of Loki (from the South Seaside) and is a very large wolf. He's quite twisted, very sadistic, and derives his pleasure out of manipulation, power and abuse. Of course, he also has class, thank you, and as the saying goes, "This town needs a better class of criminals."
Adenru likes to believe himself as it.
He is very two-faced due to his nature. To some he can be charming, polite, and looks at ruining lives and packs around him as 'nothing personal'. It's all business, really, to stay at the top of the chain sacrifices must be made. He will smile with all the charm at you, allure you, and get you to believe in him even while he's sticking the knife in your back or quietly ordering your doom.
Then again, there are others he outright loathes and despises. He has extreme prejudice against black and white coats, and will not hesitate to make them slaves (should they be forced to join his pack) or do all that he can to exterminate them or make their lives hell. In fact, part of his code in this pack has to do with physical prejudices . . . . He can get over them (sort of) depending on the personality of the wolves around him but it would take a little bit.
Anyway, he's a pretty insane character and honestly it's difficult telling how he'll respond to someone. Still, when he makes loyalty and oathes to another he WILL stand by his word. As such, he expects those to do the same. . . . And just you try to double cross him. He'll find you. . . . just give it time.
Perhaps the most important detail concerning Adenru is his origins. After leaving Loki and his family to seek his fortune (he wasn't quite so insane at that age) he lived in a land that was soon contagious wit plague. Adenru was one of the few wolves in that country to actually make it through the sickness. As such, though his body is immune to the effects of the disease, he still carries it with him in his blood and saliva.
As such, he can cause others to grow ill.
NOTE! This is something that will only happen if someone chooses to let their wolf get ill. There is more on the disease later but in theory it is usually fatal. . .

Following in her father's footsteps is Adelia. Adelia is a favored and the only remaining daughter of Adenru. Unlike her father though, where Adenru has fought off the plague and has mastered it (i.e. is just a carrier) Adelia isn't quite so lucky.
She suffers from the sickness, albeit it is quietly dorment within her body. She believes herself to be a carrier as well, though in due time the sickness will ravage her body to nothing. Ignorance is bliss, right? Until she begins showing obvious symptoms, Adelia believes herself to be perfect.
She is bold, headstrong, and is a female that knows what she wants and how to get it. While she tries to do well under her father's burning gaze, she finds herself often questioning his methods. She has more of a conscience than her father and this has gotten her in trouble with him in the past.
Adelia is young though and is approaching a point in her life where she may come at a cross road - to stay with her father and become as cold, twisted and manipulative as he. . . or to become seometing else entirely. Because her mother is dead, and according to Adenru had been weak in spirit, Adelia tries hard to prove that she is something greater, something more.
Adelia is still loyal to Adenru and does have an eye and taste for power. Still, she lacks the extreme insanity of her father, even if she too is prejudiced against those that are weak of body and of the 'wrong' genetics.
Adenru is raising her so she might become a great leader of a pack, a pack he hopes will overwhelm all of Telk.

Meet a key player in this future pack. Nawiri was found as an infant, abandoned for one reason or another. Adenru has a taste for the softer sides of wolf-flesh, and would have happily gobbled up the nuisance. Besides which, her dark coat was almost . . . almost completely black and white, which is a big no-no.
Thankfully though, Adelia got to her first and while she thinks the pup ugly, argued that the little one could be of good use to them. If they were going to begin infiltrating throughout Telk, they would need every member they could come by. . . Especially the young and easily manipulated.
Giving her the name Nawiri, which means 'healthy', Adenru adopted her as a daughter and Adelia as a little sister. The elder wolf does little in the actual raising of the pup, and Adelia tries her best. Her impatience doesn't make her a very good mother though, so more often than not, the grey and white pup is on her lonesome.
It wasn't long within the company of both Adelia and Adenru that she too infected the virus. Unfortunately for this sweet heart of a pup, she is always going to suffer. Her body is too young and too weak to develop an immunity for the virus and make her in to a carrier like Adenru, nor has the virus been placed in to dormancy like Adelia. This young one suffers the beginning stage symptoms . . .
Thankfully though, her sweet demeanor makes her an easy target. The more maternal sorts will want to coddle her and with luck she may help both Adelia and Adenru find sympathizing members or fellow abandoned pups. To Adenru she isn't entrely a daughter and she will never share a place with her older sister, Adelia. Oh no . . .Nawiri is, in essence, a tool . . .
And should she ever forfeit such a use, she will likely be sacrificed to Adenru's hunger the moment Adelia turns away.

.the pack idea. This is a pack for both the ill to find a place to fester and call home, as well as wolves with a desire to find power. While health is considered a sign of strength thanks to the bodies immunity, those who suffer from illness and disease are welcome as well.
Disease is, in Adenru's mind, a gift. He was strong enough to shed the virus, though he knows for a fact that the disease is still rampent in his body. Though he doesn't suffer for it (thanks to his strength) he can cause others to suffer from it just as he once did. . . and in many cases watch as their lives are cut short and snuffed out from existence.
Power.
Disease is something that the world and many packs fear. They come, they go . . . but in certain cases they can exterminate entire families and generations. In some cases they can wipe out a pack 100 strong within days. . . this is something that pleases Adenru. To see who is left standing, who suffers, and who eventually succumbs.
Now that he's moved in to Telk and he's witnessed the neighboring packs, some good, some evil, some neutral . . . Adenru wishes to rise himself and make both his name as well as his future-pack a thing of nightmares. With strength comes power, and with power comes both fear and respect. These are things Adenru craves and he'll stop at nothing to get them.
.The Warriors and the Immune.
Like any pack, Adenru cannot thrive or become a force if he has no allies, friends and companions. First and foremost he is seeking out members who will defer to him and his great intelligence. He is looking for those of strong body and strong mind. . .
Any wolf he finds acceptable and welcomed in to his territory must pass the first test. The test of Body. . . The wolf will be forced in to infection. He will be mobbed or groomed and generally exposed firsthand to the virus through the sick and infected carriers.
After a few weeks, the newly infected wolf will be placed in to a particular category. He will fall down ill and stay sick, nothing but one more diseased wolf to add to the ranks. He may grow ill but his body might shed the disease and he too rise to become a carrier. Or, on very rare occasions, the wolf will show no symptoms at all, his body naturally immune.
Such immunity is something Adenru respects as very few show such a thing. If a wolf is naturally immune, he is trained and given a choice of positions stated below.
Warriors: Exactly what it sounds like. A first line of defense for those weaker than they, protectors of the pride and their leaders. They are trained to be tough, fierce and in some cases bloodthirsty. Power is everything, after all, and in times of war and times of hard times these warriors are going to be called upon.
Skinners: . . . A subclass of the Warrior field. Skinners are the wolves that have a penchant for the darker arts. Mostly torture. In this case they are often given the task of guarding prisoners or hostages or betrayers of the pack. They are strong like warriors, as they must be able to hold down wolves perhaps bigger than them, and they . . . are well crafted in the fine-art of information gathering and infliction of pain without necessarily killing their victims. ._.; Those like Adenru who have a fine taste for flesh of ANY creature are also trained to be good skinners. . . .
Guardians: Not quite as bloodthirsty or aggressive as the warrior and skinner group. These health wolves tend to play a more defensive role in the pack. They'll guard the heart of the territory and the weakest members of the pack; they'll hunt and help bring home kills and protect the sick and some are assigned to ranking individuals as a sort of bodyguard. Should the first line of defense crumble, Guardians can be used as personal warriors and a second line of defense though they rarely fight unless absolutely necessary.
The Carriers and Teachers
If a wolf is found to eventually shed the disease and return to mostly good health, he will be given a chance to train at any of the above ranks with these positions included.
Scabber: These wolves are carriers of the disease. While they look physically healthy, they are dangerous in that they can infect others just like any diseased wolf. Scabbers are sent out as missionaries. They are used as scouts to pick up abandoned pups or get to know neighboring packs. They're great when it comes to obtaining resources and neighboring packs do best to leave them alone thanks to the risk of catching disease.
Nurses: The more gentle within the hard-edged pack, these care for the sick and help raise the young. They assist and do the softer things within the pack, from helping pregnant mothers deliver (if necessary), assist those with loss of family members, and will help care for any and all within the pack.
The Infected and the Damned Finally there are those whom are infected. For the most part the very sick are the most valuable members of the pack. Though they can be weak and in some cases die at a very young age. . . Adrenu adores those who show signs of the plague. For they remind him that they are weak, that it was he who infected them and it is he that they defer themselves too.
Those whom are infected are often protected. While they can learn the art of defense if they wish and choose to train, they will never be allowed to become a warrior or allowed to fight. For the disease that they carry is something that is more vicious and terrible . . .
The sick ones in reality don't do much. The more loving and caring sorts can sometimes become nurses or guardians for as long as they feel capable. The rest are rather pampered and left to their own devices.
They don't necessarily have a specific title unless Adenru and his right hand men think a particular ill wolf shows potential.
Dreamweavers - These wolves are infected wolves with big imaginations. In some cases they're Seers or Shamans but for the most part they enjoy story telling. They help entertain both young and old and generally give the sick a little hope and help when days get rough. Think of them as gypsy sorts, coming up with any sort of way to keep the pack amused during rough times
Secret Keepers: - These are a select few that are granted the task of 'disposing' of bodies of the infected. Those passed away are often last seen being dragged off in to the foliage by one of the Secret Keepers. Everyone knows what becomes of the bodies but none speak of it. . . the wolves and pups and elderly are eaten and their bones buried.
Sacrifices: - These members of the pack are of 'unsavory' colouration and design. Those that are black and white or predominantly black and white are often given such a title as Adenru finds their markings displeasing and disgusting. They are raised to be typical scapegoats and can be sacrificed to any member of the pack for renewed strength at any time.
Those sacrifices that go 'willingly' are often thought to be reborn later with a much more honorable coat coloration. Those that run from their title or are shown to be cowards when their time is up are thought to be reborn as a lowly creature or a sacrifice a second time through.
Not all sacrifices are black and white though. Now and again a particular personality trait will stick out, or even on rare occassion a health and strong pup will be chosen to be a Royal Sacrifice . . . to be fed to Adenru himself or his future offspring. This is an honorable thing . . .
Depending on the motivation and intelligence of those whom are diseased, Adenru may find favore in some. If they seem reliable, trustworthy and most importantly loyal to the pack and him he could offer them ranking positions.
For you see, what he ultimately wishes to do is to use their disease as a weapon, a way to achieve strength and power. At first he will try sheer force and manipulation to get others to revere to him and allow his territory to spread. If politics doesn't allow for it, he will move to brute force and intimidation. And if hat still doesn't get him his way he will bring out his secret weapons and force his kin upon others.
He will allow disease to spread . . .he will infect others and they in turn will affect neighboring packs. While they suffer the plague, he will sit back and laugh all while welcoming them into a lifestyle he knows well and fully understands.
Note that this will NOT happen (probably ever) unless neighboring packs wish it. For the most part I'll just pretend he's winning over (or ripping to shreds) NPC packs that don't entirely exist.

.stuff about disease.
.stuff about personal prejudice. . akak coat colours.
Adenru's crazy so don't expect this to make much sense. . . .
Black and white wolves (especially those that are predominantly black and white) are considered the lowest of the low.
Golds and Browns and Creams are especially revered. So those tend to be respected more. . . .
Other colours to come.

Should be enough for now.
Will declare this interest thread open for anyone who might possibly hope to have a hand as an enemy, pack member, or ally. . . .
I'm not a big fan of playing the bad guys so don't worry folks. I don't plan on having Adenru get very far before he's ousted out and things 'change' (maybe) . . .
But it'll make for some fun plot in his attempt to dominate Telk.

Ohhhh smile I was fascinated by the SoA concept you had (and entered!) but this is even better. I do LOVE playing some twisted baddies. We've got cannibals AND germ warfare altogether? Count me in! I've got an old OC that would fit in nicely here although I may have to change her design a bit to have her fit in as she is mostly black and blue. But let me know and I'll see about scraping together some monies to custom her in smile *digs around for a reference pic* her name is Kaeerah and in her old world she was a demon that fed on fear (there was a whole backstory I won't get into here) that became a vampire so she could become more powerful originally she was created as a vampire (in a different game) but in this world obviously she'd be a regular ol' wolf who would delight in nothing more than the possibility of having a disease she could spread as a weapon -- similar kind of thing....anyway, at her core, Kaeerah desires NOTHING as much as power and inspiring terror. She can be sexy when she needs to be and totally violently ruthless at other times and would LOVE having a disease she could infect others with to subvert them. So....yeah. Also, if you want an NPC pack for him to totally destroy I will happily nominate Kai's home-pack Kapu'Moana. For his plot later I plan on having him return to his old home to find it completely destroyed, so this would be as good a way as any smile Aaaaand that's all for now. But count me in! EDIT: Aha! finally found my Kaeerah pics! Bloody!Over the shoulder!EDIT again: I don't know why I'm editing this since I already replied down there....but I am. Silly-fen is silly!

You remember showing me, yes? Loooong while back? 8D Of course I keeps my promise and shall join up! I can easily toss Edgar here since he's got a good brown(ish?) pelt, is well acquainted with diseases and maybe later, if somehow I manage to acquire the gold or the slot, I could get him to become shaman of rats. And we all know that old stigma of rats carrying plagues. ;3 It could fit in easily if he manages to become a carrier.
Mind, he'll be eyeing that spot of alpha the whole time too. >3 Power-hungry wretch wants his throne back after Lilith gave up Gomorrah's to Piper.
I could also totally offer someone up to play hero for Nawiri. One of the males from Delu/Domo has a hero complex, so I could totally see him finding Nawiri as a soul he needs to save from the clutches of Adenru, and it could span as they grow up - added drama would be his sister who is always with him and refuses to share his attentions with another girl. 8D

Yay for interest!
Fen: My only concern is . . you weren't planning on keeping her vampire-complex-bit were you? Like being seductive/manipulative/power hungry is all well and fine but I'd just be curious to know where her wolf-history would be seeing as . . . well. . . yeah. That bit wouldn't fit but if she was power-hungry Adenru would be amused. Like her, Adenru also sees the disease as a source of power and a way for him to strike fear so . . . . I think they could relate.
Medz: Edgar = yes. I think it would be most fabulous if he showed up and did become a carrier. It would only be fitting for his appearance, no?
And feel free to let him eye the Alpha position. Adenru knows the risk that's involved with finding others who are power hungry and thankfully does rule with an iron claw. So . . . he expects challenges but he also demands respect. So long as Edgar knew his place and knew how to make sure he didn't look TOO interested in obtaining Alpha position lest Adenru need to remind him who was boss.
And I would love to have Nawiri meet your hero-complex boy. She's a sweetie and if they clicked and got along the drama would be fun. So just let mek now whenever you'd like 'em to meet!

hehe Uta not at all -- I bring it up because I think it'll translate over nicely to the disease. She would TOTALLY use it as a weapon the same way as the OC used the vampirism. Like, I can see the little cogs turning in her head as I type: "So, wait....you're telling me that if I get sick and shed the virus that I'll be able to infect people with a life-threatening disease....for the rest of my life...just through contact with my saliva? HELL YES I'M IN!"

Only she'd have to realize that there's a possibility she WON'T shed the virus and she'll be just as sick as those that she tries to infect. ;3 Mind, it's up to you what happens but shedding and immunity is supposed to be rare. . . .
I'm cool with folks deciding though unless absolutely everyone who joins refuses to gets infected. Then I might have to come up with a system. o.o; But yeah, otherwise it's all good!

Bwahahaha. I have Johnny's son, Fall, who is angry and hateful and curses his parents and has run away from South Seaside. I think it would be a VERY dramatic twisty sort of thing if Adenru's disciples were to overtake Fall and infect him. Fall is basically Johnny's twin, and quite black and white. I'd love to RP all that out and see how Adenru reacted to first the realization that he'd captured an escapee's child, and then the future realization that that child turned out to be Adenru's own sister's grandson.
