He really had no idea what he was thinking when he'd decided that he was going to do this. It was supposed to be rather simple, he was going to leave the house, go down the stairs, follow the walkway to the side walk. From there the plan was to go left as far as where the next street crossed through, he would stop there and head back down the side walk, up the walkway, and back into the house. It was simple! Right? Wrong!

Deimos had gotten to the walkway, looking both ways, and realized that down the way to the left was a bit of problem as there were two people standing around talking, wasting time, and otherwise blocking the side walk. As such he'd gone right since that would allow him to remain by himself. The last thing he wanted was to get bothered during his walk, he wanted to get to where he was going and back again safely. All the pink haired boy really wanted was to show that he could be brave... of course that was ruined completely by something that he hadn't been planning for. A cat! Not only a cat but one of those black cats that were always painted as being harbingers of doom! On top of that it had sharp teeth, lots of sharp claws, one eye, and it hissed at him before making a terrible yowling sound.

After the run in with the demon cat he had done what came naturally for him, he poofed into an invisible state, turned in an arbitrary direction, and he ran like... well like a demon of Hell was pursuing him, which it seemed like the cat was doing. Unfair! Why did it seem the mean kitty was able to see him he thought to himself pathetically as he fled, getting horribly lost in the process. This was why he didn't go anywhere, because there were horrible things out here that wanted nothing more then to make kibble out of him. Several blocks and a couple turns later the cat gave up... or at least seemed as though he tortured the kid enough to let him go on his way and walked off in a very haughty manner. Stupid cats...

So there was, the sun setting, lost, alone, and afraid the cat was going to return with a herd of its hungry cat friends. Needless to say he was wishing that Gera or Kay were around... or that Momma Jiang or Daddy Reu would show up to save him.

The Graveyard Crew was never sure what Anonymous did during the day; all they knew was that the boy left when they did, and came right back when they did...and he stayed up all night with them, doing one thing or another; usually he was near the grave markers, cleaning them off or fixing the wilting flowers. Eventually the crew would give him money and make him go out for snacks.

Now was one such time. With a pocket full of money and a grocery list of snacks for a long night, the...boy...named Anon was wandering down the street until he saw something he usually didn't. It was a cat. A Black one. Chasing...nothing? It seemed pretty determined though. Huh. The hooded head tilted, looking down the street to the store, where he needed to be...but then he looked the other way at the retreating cat. Making a decision, he turned on his heel and jogged after the cat.

After a while the cat got disinterested, and Anon saw something he didn't see before; a person about his age with shock pink hair looking...rather startled, confused, lost...afraid. His head tilting, the boy (who slightly smelled of formaldehyde) jogged over, holding his gloved hands up like he meant no harm.

Deimos was looking rom side to side, trying to figure out where he was going to go from here. He had... no clue really which way he'd come from, had no idea where he was, where home was... all he knew for certain was that he didn't like cats! Well, to be fair, he had never really liked cats before now due to their claws, sharp teeth, and creepy looking slitted eyes but currently he was liking them even less for being such mean animals. Why would that one want to chase him so far?! He lifted a hand up to rub his long sleeve against his eyes to clear up the tears that were threatening to fall.

No, no, he couldn't cry. Crying wasn't going to help anything he told himself. What he had to do was try to figure this out! He nodded, first thing was first, turning around to start back in the opposite way he'd come from. If he did that he might find something that looked vaguely familiar as a land mark that would lead him home! He heard on coming footsteps and he turned quickly, expecting to see the cat coming back but this it was much, much worse then a cat.

Dei's bright blue eyes went as wide as saucers as he saw the one approaching him, someone with a dark hood pulled down to help hide his features, dark clothing, dark skin, and he almost thought that he saw... stitches? The guy was jogging forward at him with his hands he'd up in front of him and the first thing that came to mind was this guy was going to attack! His senses seemed to be tripping over themselves as they tried to decide what it was that he needed to do. Run! He thought about running when another thought suggested that maybe screaming for help would be a good idea. Anything but panicking! A foolish suggestion by voice number thing as he was already doing a wonderful job at that as well as hyperventilating...

"N-No... No!" He squeaking taking a half step as he tried to run, tripped over his own feet, and ended up in a heap with scraped up palms and aching knees. This just wasn't his night at all.

Anon tilted his head again when the pink haired one seemed to notice him...and suitably panic. The strange boy turned to flee and Anon stopped in his tracks, waving his hands in front of him, trying his hardes to get his point across. He wasn't dangerous! Don't run! Startled, the hooded boy's mouth twisted into a silent cry when the frightened stranger fell. Well...there was something in him that wanted to make everything better...he didn't mean to scare the pink haired one! He had to fix it!

He stepped forward, creeping towards the stranger, holding out his hands and certainly airing on the side of caution. This kimono wearing stranger looked like a panicked deer, or even a jumpy squirrel, like the ones he tried to catch sometimes at the grave yard. Eventually, somehow, he made it to the fallen kid, kneeling down and holding out a gloved hand in an offer to help him up, his head bent just enough to shadow anything above the tip of his nose.

Anon was trying his hardest to seem unthreatening; but he was thoroughly confused. Why was this person so scared of him? All the big guys at the Grave yard were much scarier than he was!

Deimos lifted his hands up as though to try to ward off the other person when he heard the footsteps still approaching, eyes squeezing shut as he was quite certain that something terrible was going to happen now that he'd fallen over. He waited, worriedly... then peeked open first one eye and then the other to stare up at the boy that was there kneeling next to him. He gave a full body tremble before he looked at the glove covered hand that was... wait a second. He starred at it for a moment, it didn't look like it was reaching for him but instead it looked like it was reaching out to him. He blinked a couple times, not wanting to get his hopes up before he slowly reached a hand out toward the one that was held out to him.

He was shaking like a lead swept up into a twister by the time he was finally able to take hold of the other boy's hand. Oddly he looked a little... smaller now, maybe because he was no longer being pursued by the other kid so his mind wasn't blowing things way out of proportion as per usual? He lifted his gaze up to look into his mostly shadowed face, "Ahh... I..." He paused for a moment, swallowed hard, then tried again, "Lost, I g-got lost."

There wasn't really much the other boy could do since there was no way he could know where Deimos lived but maybe if he knew the situation he could tell him at least where he was? He lifted his other hand up to rub it against his eyes once more, cleaning up the wetness that threatened to overflow from them, "Only... meant t-to go a little ways... t-then that k-kitty tried to eat me..."

Anon waited with extreme patience while the stranger seemed to sort something out. It was a good thing he was in no hurry...or that his legs didn't go numb. Hell, he didn't even need to breathe! When the decision was made, Anon slowly curled his gloved fingers around the other's thin digits, getting to his feet and helping the other boy up. He seemed to be listening to the little story that was given, his hooded face turned like he was looking at the boy though in reality it was hard to tell. Well, at one point it was easy to tell he was listening; he nodded slowly in sympathy.

The boy's thin lips twitched up into a tiny smile when it got to the part of the cat, shaking his head a little bit as though to say 'oh, that's a shame'. Of course, Anon knew how easily he could be misunderstood, so he pet at his own pockets with his free hand...only to discover that damnit, he'd left his pen and pad of paper back at the Graveyard!

Well, this encounter just got infinitely more difficult!

Oh, but wait! Holding up his his free index finger in a 'one minute' motion, he dug around in his hoodie pockets until he found his list of snacks, showing the boy then pointing down the street towards some glowing stores; convenience stores were everywhere, after all! The paper was put back and Anon made a beckoning motion with his free hand, slowly edging to the side to encourage the scardey cat to start walking with him. Of course, he didn't let go of the hand, just holding it gently.

Deimos wasn't sure what to think of meeting with someone that seemed to talk less then he did. He wasn't normally the one that led a conversation so this felt a little odd. He was helped up to his feet and he used his free hand to brush at the stains that were on the robe he wore, looking a little upset when those stains refused to come out. He hoped that he hadn't ruined it he thought sadly to himself before his attention turned to the one who held his hand.

The other boy seemed to be searching for something... something that he didn't seem to have with him if he had to guess from the way he was patting himself down but with no success, "Did you lose something?" He asked, pausing when the boy held up a finger to indicate that he needed a moment and Deimos remained quiet as he looked around for something. A short time later the other boy produced a list and the pointed over toward a building that stood there with its lights still on despite the time, "O-Oh... were you going shopping?" He asked, finding himself following along after the other boy. He was a little scary but compared to everything else around them he would admit that this boy was far better.

A part of him worried about wasting time shopping when he needed to be trying to figure out where home was at the moment though this quiet boy was the only one he had to hold on to and depend on so he would follow where he led. He was rather happy for the hand to hold onto as it did mean he wasn't alone in his lost state anymore.

Anon turned his hooded head in a slow 'no' motion, not wanting to shake his head too badly in case his hood fell off or in case the boy caught a glimpse of his face. No no, he didn't lose something, he forgot it! There was a mental groan of frustration, and after a few gestures the other boy seemed to understand. There Anon nodded, and gently pulled the pink haired one with him to the store.

When he got there, Anon headed to a rack of maps, pointing at the one for Durem. His gloved hand grabbed it off of the shelf, heading towards a flat surface to open it up. As always he kept his head down to keep his face suitably shadowed. After a moment of flipping through the pages, he pointed down at a spot on the map, where they were right now. The other boy had said he was lost, right? Well, this was where he was! He pat Deimos' shoulder, pointing down at the map to encourage him to look at it. Then he slowly let go of Deimos' hand, taking out his list again and wandering off to find everything on his list, and giving Deimos a chance to find where he was.

A map. Deimos looked it over, watching the way that the other boy figured out where they were on it and showed him. He watched the other boy as he wandered off to gather the things that were on his list before he turned to starring at the map. Sadly the pink haired boy looked as he had never seen something like this before. Where... where was home? He couldn't say that he knew exactly where in the world he was, where his home was, why hadn't he learned his address before leaving the house? Likely because he didn't think that he was going to go much more then a block away from that house he told himself.

He set to worrying on his lower lip, his eyes getting a bit damp as he realized that this map wasn't going to help him at all because it wasn't going to tell him where he lived! Wait... wait... he tilted his head to the side in a thoughtful manner. He knew his parents and their names, surely that would help him to find them in the phone book surely? He just needed to figure out if this place had one. He closed the map and went to hurried find the one that he had as his current bodyguard.

Anon was just rounding a corner when he spotted Deimos, his body jolting a bit in surprise but otherwise saying nothing; no noises, no squeaks, nothing. The hooded boy's arms were full of various pops and snacks, seemingly enough to feed about three large men. The silent boy seemed to stare for a moment or two, then the hooded head canted to the side a little bit. Why did the boy look like he was going to cry...couldn't he find his address on the map?

Deimos hurried his way over to where the other boy was located, not looking anywhere but ahead as he was sure to find things that were to scary to deal with currently, and when he got to him he gave an uncertain sound, "I... i-is there are phone b-book here?" He asked of the boy, given he had no idea what his address was the next best idea he had was to try to call home. Maybe they would know where he was? He wasn't quire sure how but he was hoping against hope at the moment.

"Umm... if there is one I... c-can you show me?" He asked of Anon, wanting another course of directions though he felt quite guilty over it since the other boy seemed to have his hands full with all of the things on his list that he had needed to pick up.

Phonebook? Hm...He'd...never really used a phone book before. Did they have one? Anon shrugged a bit, then tilted his head while moving away from Deimos, like he wanted the boy to follow him. There was no point in leaving the other boy alone, after all he was almost done! They could find a phone book together! Anon headed to the counter and paid for the snacks as well as the map, tucking the change into his pocket. Each guy had given him a few dollars to spend on himself, but since he didn't eat...it was just saved. He'd already had a sizeable amount buried in the graveyard for now, the perfect spot for safe keeping.

With his bags in tow and the map on Deimos' care, Anon headed outside. After a brief look around he spotted a public phone. He poked Deimos' arm, then pointed towards the phone booth, and with a bit of a jog went towards it, somehow assuming that the lost one would follow.

His bags were hung on one wrist, the other pulling the phone book out of it's hiding place. He flipped it to Durem, then stepped away and out of the booth, motioning for Deimos to go in and find his number.

Deimos followed along after Anon as though he were a shadow, sticking close, almost to the point that he was getting a bit underfoot. He smiled as he payed for his foot and the map and then they were headed out once more. He held onto the map carefully as he shadowed the other boy.

Their next destination was one that brought them to the public phone. The hooded boy got out a phone book from inside, flipping to the right area and he gave a happy sound, "Oh... thank you, your the b-best." He said as he tucked the map carefully under his arm and set to searching through the book for the right name. He gave a happy sort of sound as he tapped his finger against the book when he found the right names Reumiae and Jiang Celestia, "T-There they are."

He lifted his gaze to look at the phone before he found himself starring at it dumbly. Oh... no, this thing wanted money? He didn't have money... he chewed on his lip, his worry renewed, "T-The right address is here I t-think we c-can find it on your map." If they had the map and the address they could find home and without his needing any money he thought to himself.

The compliment received a modest shake of his head and the polite lifting of a gloved hand. No, he wasn't the best; but it was never fun being lost! Anon waited for the boy just outside of the phone booth, his hands in his pockets and his shopping bags hanging from one wrist. The boy tilted his head again when the pink haired stranger seemed...upset again. Shoulders slumping a bit, Anon found himself mildly frustrated; did everyone get like this when they were lost? He never recalled being this lost before so he couldn't exactly sympathize...but he was trying his best to help!

Shuffling into the crowded booth, Anon pressed up close to the kimono wearing one; the mysterious boy smelling of graveyard dirt and the rather sharp, distinct and mildly repulsive stench of formaldehyde. Luckily the formaldehyde scent was more or less a secondary one; it was still very much there, however. His hat kept his face shadowed while he observed the address next to the names the other boy was tapping at.

The boy bit down on his lip, nibbling lightly at a stitch mark in thought. Well, it was all well and good to get him home now...but this boy looked like he could get lost often. What to do...Ah! Startling, Anon held up his index finger, putting his bags near Deimos' feet. Turning on his heel he ran back to the store, disappearing inside for a moment or two and eventually reemerging holding onto something. He jogged back, his head bowed and shadowed, and held his hand out for the map that Deimos was holding, the new item in his left hand.

Anon was holding a pen.

Deimos gave a squeak of surprise when the other boy set the bags down next to his feet and turned to run off. His eyes went huge and he looked as though he might follow after him, as though afraid that the boy was getting tired of helping and was leaving, "W-Wait..." He said in a hushed voiced, unable to call out to him as though his fear had cut off his ability to speak.

The boy stood there, frozen in place near the bags of snacks, clinging to the map and phone book as though they may save him, then felt relief following through him in a manner that left him almost exhausted when his strange smelling companion reappeared with... a pen? He starred at the item for a confused moment before he lifted his hand to give the other boy's map back to him, "Here you go." He said, his voice nearer to a normal level this time he spoke. The boy had come back and it was something that had him nearly trembling in relief.
