Ingredients:
1/2 cup of Reiseling Wine
1 large egg
2/3 cup flour of choice
1/8th teaspoon of ground cinnamon
pinch of salt
3 Tablespoons of Sugar
Honey (leave in container/ non-measured)
1/4 teaspoon of Nutmeg
Soybean or Olive oil (un-measured)
Directions:
1. Combine about 2/3 cup of Honey with a 1/4 teaspoon of Nutmeg on a small bowl or shallow cup. Set at serving area.
2. Beat wine and egg, in a bowl In a small bowl, mix flour, cinnamon, salt and sugar. Add dry mix to wine and egg and mix thoroughly. Let stand for about 30 minutes.
3. Heat in a skillet about a half inch of preffered oil to a medium low heat.
4. Drop in mixed batter 1 Tablespoon at a time and cook until golden. Drain on paper towels. Serve with honey mixture for dipping.
*note* white grape juice may be subsituted, but will slightly change final taste.
Also excellent to use during Ostara as the little folk are very active and like their treats.
