This is the Lair of the Snake summonings. Inside lives manda, who will give you the snake summoning...........If you make it to him. At the entrance, a Two Headed Kyodaija guards the two possible caves to get to manda. One leads to Manda, which they call "Journey's end", and the other leads to a room of 7 Kyodaija which you must fight to get to manda, which they call "Certain Doom." It is possible to get to Manda on the certain doom route but.....Its a lot harder. You are allowed to ask one of the heads of the guard snake one question regarding the path, which it will answer. But one head speaks constant truth, the other speaks constant lies. Choose wisely.
(I will RP as the guard snake, or another mod will if I'm not around. PM me your question, specifying which head it is asked to. After the Guard snake recommends a route, choose whether to take his advice or not. On your next post, when you are in the cave, roll an 8 sided die. If you took his advice, then rolling a 1, 4, or 7 will be the doom entrance. If you didnt, then a 2, 6, or 8 will be doom. You can kill the snakes in the doom lair if you must, or do something else to make them stop, but dont do something stupid. Remember your in a cave, so using a massive explosion, massive fire attack, etc will hit you too. After killing and/or temporarily subdueing the snakes, there is an entrance on the other side to get to Manda. And dont try killing the guard snake, it wont end well for you. AND NO DELETING POSTS!!!!!!)

Yamatano and Kuro approached the cave entrance, the former wearing a great smile on his face. That is, until a great two headed Kyodaija burst from the earth in front of the cave, scaring the crap out of Yamatano and causing Kuro to start laughing like before. After regaining the color in his face, Yamatano stood up and stared at the great creature in awe, marveling at their/it’s lean strong form. Shaking his head to get out of his reverie, he faced the snake, awaiting whatever came. “……well, at least this one does not run away.” The first head said. “Oh yes, like all those others, but he didn’t run!” Sufficiently confused, Yamatano asked “Great snake, please tell me where I am!” He called out, hoping it would answer. But before either could answer, Kuro cut them off by saying “Yamatano don’t! These two are the guardians to this cave, and this is the lair of the summoning snakes, the same ones of the once great Orochimaru of Konoha. You need to ask one of these guys a question about which cave entrance to take, for one will lead to certain doom. But beware, one will tell you nothing but truth, the other will say nothing but lies.”All of this completely overwhelmed Yamatano. Here he was, at the foot of the land of summoning for snakes, apparently about to become a summoner! In all the books he had read about great ninjas, the all had a summoning farmiliar. The great Naruto Uzumaki had toads, His great granduncle Kakashi Hatake had dogs, now he, Yamatano Hatake, would possess the summoning contract of snakes, long thought to be lost with the death of Orochimaru. Steeling himself, he approached closer, and shouted “You, on the left! Which way would the head on the right say that you say leads to the true entrance!” He shouted, hoping to throw off the snakes. The snakes looked at each other, then grinned, liking his clever question, but still knowing that it could turn either way. “Truly, young human, you are clever. But my counterpart here would say that it is the entrance on the left that you seek.”

"Well thank you, good snake sir, but I believe I will take the right entrance." Yamatano said as he casually walked by, the guardian doing nothing to stop him. On his shoulder, Kuro looked worried. "Yamatano, are you sure about this? Not taking the guardians advice?" "Kuro I mean no offense, but lets face it: Your snakes, and snakes cant be trusted." Kuro merely shrugged, ceding to Yamatano's point as Yamatano continued along what he truly hoped to be the correct path.

Entering the cavern, Yamatano walked down the damp hallway, attempting to let his eyes adjust as it got darker and darker, eventually to where the only thing that was keeping him from falling over rocks every few steps was Kuro's guidance. After what seemed like hal an hour of walking, Yamatano could feel himself enter a new room in the cave, and a spacious one by the way the humidity and temperature had suddenly changed. "He's here. Give him sight." Said a great, imposing voice. Suddenly a small burst of flame, coming from a snakes mouth, erupted near the cave wall. A ring filled with peat moss encircling the entire room suddenly lit, lighting the whole room, and the sight made Yamatano nearly faint. Standing before him was the largest snake he had ever seen, bigger than any animal Yamatano thought possible. It looked exactly like Kuro, except, well, the size difference. "Welcome, morsel. You have been deemed as the successor. I.......am Manda."

Yamatano was completely blown away…………figuratively. Here was the great lord of all snakes, Manda, calling him the “Chosen one”! The morsel comment put him on edge a bit, but nevertheless Yamatano did not lose hope that this was a good thing. Kneeling, he said “L-lord Manda, I am humbled by your mere presence. I-“ “Yo, daddy-o! When are we gonna teach him how to summon?” Kuro interjected, slithering in front of Yamatano, confirming his suspicions that they would teach him how to summon. “Kuro, where have you been?!? You wandered away again!” “Gee, sorry pa, I was just having fun.” “Guuh, what will I do with you?”
“But enough of this talk. Morsel, come with me.” Manda said as he exited the huge room and slithered down a tunnel that was just wide enough to fit him, but was enormous to Yamatano. Scooping up Kuro, he chased after the snake lord, determined to live up to this name everyone had given him, “the chosen one.”
They came to a great door that Manda had stopped in front of. “Now boy, be prepared. You shall be trained, this will likely take five months.” “Five months?!? But I need to return to my village! They need-“ “SILENCE!” The snake lord shouted, causing the walls to shake and Yamatano to lose his balance. “Now then, you will spend roughly five months with us, but if we train beyond these doors, five months in there will be two weeks in this realm. There is a powerful sealing jutsu in this room, which slows time, but not the aging process. Here, you will learn how to become a truly powerful summoner and shinobi.” Without further ado, Manda opened the door, and he, Kuro, and Yamatano slipped inside, ready to train.

Upon entering the room, Yamatano suddenly felt as if the pressure of the room had changed dramatically. Everything felt so strange, but he supposed that that was what if felt like to be under a sealing jutsu. He would have to ask Tensaijin-sama about that when he returned. Turning to lord manda, he eagerly awaited instruction.
"Now then, morsel, you have been decided by fate to bring back the contract of the snakes. As lord of snakes, it is my duty to teach you." Manda then took something from a shelf, and rolled it out on the floor, revealing it to be a scroll. The scroll had four names on it in total, and they seemed very old: Orochimaru, Anko Mitarashi, Sasuke Uchiha, and Kabuto Yakushi. Yamatano thought he had read about them all at one point, but definitely recognized the feared snake saanin Orochimaru, and the traitorous one Sasuke Uchiha. "This is the scroll of the Snakes. In order to summon us, you must sign this. Using your own blood, write your name, then make a handprint underneath. After doing this, you may use the summoning jutsu. In order to perform this ninjutsu, you must offer your own blood, and wipe it over a summoning tattoo as a sacrifice. Then, after using the following handseals: Boar, Dog, Rooster, Monkey, and Ram, you place that palm on the ground, and, using a set amout of chakra, you can call us to your aide.
"Niiiiiice." Yamatano thought as he took one of his daggers and opened a cut on his thumb, signing the Kanji of his name, then making a blood handprint. Then, after trying to move on to the next step, Yamatano realized that he had no tattoo. "U-uhm, Lord Manda, how do I get a summoning tattoo?" Manda smiled a sadistic smile, then, without warning, shrank down to Yamatano's height, coiled up, and shot forward, sinking his teeth into Yamatano's shoulder.
"GUAAAAAAAAAAAAAUGH!!!!" Yamatano yelled as the substance Manda injected into him swirled through his arm. It felt as if someone had poured molten lead underneath Yamatano's skin, and it was hardening. began crying out in extreme pain, but he refused to fall to his knees. He would not show weakness in front of Manda. Finally, the substance Manda injected stopped, and the pain went away. Yamatano looked at his arm to find that he now had, in black ink, the Kanji for "Snake" on his right shoulder.
"That, morsel, is a summoning tattoo." Manda said, now back to full height. Yamatano simply ignored the presumptuous snake lord, reminded by his bite that he wasnt know as unnecessarily cruel without a reason. Using the blood from his still bleeding thumb, Yamatano made sure to coat his new tattoo in plenty of blood.
Now, he began to draw upon his chakra, and a vast amount of it. His boby took on a white hue from the sheer amount of chakra building within him. Forming the needed hand seals, Yamatano rushed all his chakra to his plam as he cried "Kuchiyose no Jutsu!" A great cloud of smoke appeared, and Yamatano was left staring at...........a snake egg.

(5 weeks later)
Yamatano stood in the center of the room, Manda and Kuro staring at him intently. After weeks upon weeks of training, Yamatano was going to finally prove final mastery of the summoning jutsu. Truth be told, he had been able to summon a Kyodaija after ten days, but he insisted on continuing training, determined to summon beyond the skills of the leaf saanin Jiraiya himself.
Yamatano bit his thumb, now calloused to the point where he felt virtually no pain, and wiped the blood across his tattoo. As he gathered chakra to his core, one would thing that he was attempting to move a mountain with the chakra he seemed to be amassing. making the handseals, Yamatano slammed his palm on the ground and cried "Kuchiyose no Jutsu!"
From the other side of the room, Manda disappeared in a burst of smoke, only to reappear in another burst underneath Yamatano. Yamatano smiled as he panted, while Kuro cheered from the sidelines. "Well done, hatchling, it looks like you can summon me. Your title of chosen one was well earned." Manda said, using the new nickname in place of "Morsel."

The next day, Yamatano woke up, eager to learn a special ninjutsu now that he had mastered summoning. Walking to Manda, the large snake began instruction. "Alright hatchling, in order to master the snakes, you must learn how to bind your enemies with us. This is possible the greatest short range binding attack ever created: Seneijashu."
Suddenly, a giant section of the earth rose from the ground, enveloping into the form of a snake, about the same size as the Manda who had bitten Yamatano. In fact, it technically was Manda; it was an earth clone created by manda to show the jutsu. The clone henged itself into a human, then simply extended it's arm forward. Four snakes shot out of its wrist onto yamatano, squeezing and binding him. However it did not last long, as both the snakes and the earth clone disappeared with a pop at Manda's mental command. "Now then, since you've seen it, try it. Focus the chakra to your wrists, and release it in the form of a small summon."
Nodding curtly to the snake lord, Yamatano first made a few handseals before saying "Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu!" The heavy air suddenly became a bit lighter as some of th moisture condensed into a water clone, which Yamatano ordered to stand in front of him. Focusing on the clone, Yamatano brought his arm back, ready to perform the jutsu.
As Yamatano got into position, he built chakra into his forearm, concentrating on creating snakes. He tried to envision how the other snakes had seemingly come out of nowhere, wrapping around him, making him helpless. With a cry of "Seneijashu!" Yamatano brought his arm forward.......and nothing happened. Ignoring the laughing Kuro, Yamatano went over what went wrong.
After a few minutes of thought, and a quick snack to regain his chakra, Yamatano tried again. He brought his arm back and charged his chakra the same way, but this time hefocused the chakra into four specific spaces on his wrists, and focused not on creating snakes, but calling them. With one more cry of "Seneijashu!" Four coal black snakes appeared from Yamatano's wrists, wrapping around his clone, squeezing until it burst.
(2 weeks)
Faced off against two clones of himself, Yamatano had little room to run, but that wasnt a problem in the least. The two clones were no match for him anyway. As one came at him, twin daggers flashing, Yamatano rolled under the scissor swing and positioned himself into a half nelson against the clone, a kunai pressed against its neck. While the second clone tried to attack from behind, Yamatano extended his wrists and snakes attacked the clone, squeezing it to water while the real yamatano dispersed the captured clone. Yamatano's mastery over his snake jutsu was great. Soon he would be able to return to mist, ready to make a name for himself.

Yamatano walked over to manda, who had called he and Kuro over from their game of dice. "Hatchling, your element is suiton, no? I have brought the elder to our room, he will help you refine your suiton, and he will teach you things. We snakes are quite adept at genjutsu, so he shall primarily teach you that."
As Manda slithered away, the old snake intoduced himself. "Ahh, so you are our chosen one? Well boy, it's good to meet you. I am Ryuza. Let us not waste any time talking, though, let us train.
Without warning, Yamatano's mind was assaulted by two genjutsu at once, both from the old snake. "Manda wasnt joking." Yamatano remarked as he suddenly felt the urge to walk aroung like a crab, while at the same time more and more Ryuza's began to appear. This may have been an academy level genjutsu, but it was enough to put Yamatano over the edge before he thought to Kai out of the Jutsu. "Alright Yamatano boy, those jutsu are the Doro Bunshin and the Kani Hokou. One focuses on sight, but the Kani Hokou focuses on desire. Make sure to concentrate on that one." Yamatano nodded to the kind old snake and began.
First, Yamatano made a water clone to aide him with the jutsus, then tried to envision the Genjutsu. First he focused on the mud clone skill, the one that had made so many Ryuzas. The Genjutsu worked on sight, So Yamatano made sure to focus on the ocular center of the brain. Releasing his chakra and crying "Suiton: Doro Bunshin no Jutsu!" Yamatano assaulted his opponent's mind with genjutsu. The clone started to look panicked, signifying that Yamatano had done his job.
Next was the so called tricky one, the crab walk. All that it was was walking like a crab, right? Not too hard, right? Wrong. This jutsu was controlled by manipulating "Desire." Deciding to focus on the brain as a whole, Yamatano focused his chakra on the clone one last time, crying "Kani Hokou!" The clone then began walking around on all fours, in an incontrollable urge to walk like a crab. Yamatano smiled after all of this, proud of how far he had come using Ninjutsu and Genjutsu. Now if only he could learn Taijutsu......
Kani Hokou (Crab Walk) Description: A fairly simple jutsu but can ruin many strategies, this switches how the brain works on moving and causes those hit by the genjutsu to walk around like a crab.
Doro Bunshin no Jutsu (Mud Clone Skill) This jutsu creates the illusion of bunshins that try to reassemble themselves after being hit. They are, however, complete illusions incapable of any real action, and are often used to tire down the unsuspecting opponent.

"Good show, my boy, good show." Ryuza said, just like an elder would. "Now let us move on to one crucial ninjutsu I noticed you were missing, the Water Shield." Slithering into the water, Ryuza coiled up and closed his eyes. Suddenly the water around him began to buuble over, and rise up in a great torrent. So great was the display that Yamatano didnt even notice the fist of water aimed for him. Canceling the jutsu, Ryuza explained. "That was the water shield, although I would not recommend trying it unles you are near a water source. Focus your chakra into the water, then make it rise up to defend yourself. Try and create fists as a counter measure as well."
Rubbing his face from the water fist, Yamatano stepped into the pool of water. Without even making handseals, Yamatano focused his chakra, allowing it to ebb out into the water. He envisioned the water spiraling around him in a shield, blocking incoming attacks. He grinned at the thought of Kanzuki trying to hit him with the hilt of a sword now.
As soon as he thought he had focused enough chakra into the water, Yamatano shaped it inot a ring around him. The ring was close enough to block an incoming attack a moment before it hit him, but far enough to give yamatano some room to move. With a mental command he released the holds on his chakra, activating the jutsu. Water rushed upwards around him in a great wave, 360 degrees around, able to stop any genin level fire attack.
Now, while the shield was still going, Yamatano decided to try that trick Lord Ryuza used. Using the chakra within the water, Yamatano formed a hand and an arm, making it dive for lord Ryuza. But to his suprise, when it tried to grab, even touch, the old snake, it dispersed, unable to pick him up. "No matter." Yamatano thought. "This jutsu is strong enough, and with it........I think I'm strong enough to return to mist."

(Roughly two months later)
"Hatchling, get over here!" Manda called to Yamatano, who was practicing his Shiro Fuuma Shuriken. As Yamatano walked over, Manda began. "Hatchling, over the past few months you have shown incredible summoning ability, water mastery, and ninja ability in general. The great elder was right, you are destined to lead the snakes to prosperity. With this awesome responsibility, we grant you this." Kuro then came out with a small box, which he opened to reveal a horned headband (Jiraiya style), and on it was the Kanji for "venom." "This headband signifys that you are a master summoner. Wear it with pride, for one day, it's true meaning will be revealed to you. But now it is time to end your training. The human world needs you, for your "Chuunin exams" begin soon, whatever those are."
Yamatano stood in awe at the magnificent headband. In all the history books he had read, the only person who possessed a haedband like this one was the great Jiraiya of Konoha, said to be the greatest summoner who ever lived. With this, and the mantle of the title "White Fang".......... It was more than most people could bear. But Yamatano, he was determined to face this head on. "T-thank you, Lord Manda, this headband will show the world the true power of the snakes, through me."
Manda chuckled a bit, happy with the boy's response. "Alright then, confident Hatchling, time for you to go home." "But Lord Manda, whe-" POOF! Went Yamatano in a puff of smoke as he was transported to the mist village by Manda.
After the summoning took place, Manda looked around the Chamber, finally saying ".............where's Kuro?"

Even if someone found out, how would they track him. Yamatano was the only human alive who still knew of this place's existence, and even more importantly, was the only one who could navigate it without being murdered by the indigenous creatures. For this place was none other than the home of the most powerful of snakes, and supposedly, the ancestral home of all reptiles in the world: The Caverns of Hebi.
The twin headed Kyodaija at the doorway, alert as ever, stared curiously as a figure walked through the mist. As it became more and more clear that it was Yamatano emerging through the mist, the snake slunk itself back in disappointment. "Man, how are we ever supposed to attack intruders if this kid is the only one who knows about this place?" The heads asked in unison. Yamatano simply gave them a small "Good to see you, too…" before continuing on his way.
As it had been when he first arrived in the cavern, the enormous antechamber was pitch black. "Lord Manda!" Yamatano called, alerting the great snake of his presence. "I've returned!". As he finished his sentence, a long ring of fire encircling the top of the cave in a metal trough lit the chamber, revealing the incredible build of the snake lord, Manda. At 100 stories in length with teeth bigger than Yamatano himself, the boy still could not suppress the sense of awe he felt when he saw the Snake Lord. “Well, hatchling, this is certainly a surprise. What are you doing back here, and-“ The great snake lord was abruptly cut off as a much smaller snake sprung off his head toward Yamatano, impacting with him like a bullet. “Hey, Yama!” The small snake, Kuro by name, said with intense enthusiasm. “You’re back! Got any new jutsu? Got any snacks? How did those fireworks pan out? Did Kaiz-“ The snake was abruptly cut off as Yamatano pulled a taco out of his bag, shoving the whole thing into the tiny serpents mouth, who chewed it gleefully. Where he acquired the taco, no one will ever know. “I’ve returned to hone my skills, and prepare for a…….conflict.” Yamatano said, an icy edge coating his last word. The snake lord simply nodded to the boy, motioning towards the deeper caves that led to Yamatano’s training room that year and a half before. Left untouched since those days long ago, Yamatano unpacked his backpack and laid its contents on the cave floor: all his average shinobi equipment, along with the newly acquired White Light Chakra Sabre, an intermediate scroll of water as well as novice scrolls of lightning and fire, several blank scrolls, and equally as many ink bottles. Lugging the glass bottles had been hell for Yamatano’s back, but the boy knew it would be more than worth it. After all, what was the point of creating secret techniques for Kirigakure if he never wrote down the fundamentals?
Overcome with a sudden, great yawn, Yamatano realized that he had been hiking through the jungle for most of the day. “Jutsu can wait until tomorrow, sleep cannot.” He mused, rolling onto his straw bed, lost in a sea of hopeful dreams.

Y a m a t a n o H a t a k e山田野 はたけ White Fang of the Mist Kirigakure no Sato || Suiton || Hatake Bloodline || White Chakra Manipulation|| Snake SummonerSpeed Shinobi Capabilities || Battle Support Specialist || Summoning Specialist“Those who dare bring harm to my friends, my village, and my way of life…”xxxxThe darkness of the cave made Yamatano wonder whether he was really awake or not as he rose from the makeshift bed, as rested as one could be having slept on a pile of straw on the cave floor. As he felt around the floor for his candles, he reached into his backpack for a match.......to realize that he had only one. Yamatano facepalmed at his own incompetence. He could't go back to Kirigakure for a single match, and he had no idea how to make his own, even if he would be able to find the components for one in a cave of all places. As he got the candles going, pondering over how to make them burn forever, his eyes fell upon the scroll of fire. Truth be told, Yamatano had not taken the scroll for serious training, but just because it was there. His plan was to build upon his own strengths, not add new ones. Besides, with his limited knowledge of Lightning ninjutsu, Yamatano didn’t even know if he could do it at all. But the scroll of fire was right there, and having witnessed Kaizen, LT, and Lord Mizukage's powerful fire attacks, Yamatano couldn't help himself. Now it would be the most useful scroll he could have taken. Yamatano chuckled at the irony as he unfolded the paper.
The process of forming fire ninjutsu was vastly different from anything Yamatano had already learned. While water ninjutsu relied on manipulating outside forces, and lightning was based on how much chakra you could release, fire was dependent on one’s inner power. The more Yamatano read, the more he was reminded of Zin Naga, the boy he fought in the chuunin exams, who possessed that fabulous flaming sword. The power that Zin used came from within, while all of Yamatano’s power had come from calling outside sources. Perhaps that was why he still had trouble with his shunshin, because he was not used to using his own power. In the days to follow, Yamatano knew he would have to change that.
Following the instructions at the top of the scroll, Yamatano extended his index finger, feeling the chakra within him stir. “Concentrate…” he thought to himself as he allowed his chakra to flow, centering around the tip of his finger. Unlike his water ninjutsu, which required he spread his chakra outward, he kept his chakra focused on a single point within him, building upon itself. The sensation was so alien to him, Yamatano almost let go, but the will to succeed- and the desire to be able to light his candles- made him hold on.
Seconds turned to minutes, minutes into half an hour. The chakra kept swirling at Yamatano’s finger, growing steadily hotter and hotter until… like a flint, the swirling chakra in his finger coalesced into a bright warmth that emanated from the tip of his finger. (Katon: Ichi acquired) “Did I……really do it?” The boy thought as he opened his eyes to examine his hand, almost unable to believe he had activated fire chakra that easily- or at all, for that matter. Yamatano had known very few shinobi with the ability to access more than two of the five elemental chakras, and all of them, with the obvious exception of Kaizen, were all extremely advanced Shinobi, such as Lord Mizukage and Lord LT-sensei. What did this mean? Was Yamatano just an exception? Did he possess some special power? Could he access more elements, the way Kaizen could? At that thought, he mentally slapped himself, not allowing his thoughts to venture any further down that path. Still, Yamatano knew that even with this ability, he could not light the candles. It was one thing to unlock the inner fire of oneself, another to utilize it. Reading more into the document, Yamatano spotted another ability, creating sparks. Surely, this would get the candles lit. Closing his eyes, Yamatano once again allowed his inner fire to coalesce in his hand, this time, not as focused as before. The chakra swirled in his palm, across his fingers, the warmth seeming to drain from the rest of his body to his hand. Bringing his middle finger and thumb together, Yamatano pressed the digits together, forcing the middle finger to slide off the thumb with an audible force.
*SNAP*
For just a second, a cluster of sparks formed at the point where Yamatano snapped his fingers, a small yellow flash that was gone as soon as it had appeared. Yamatano snapped his fingers again, and a third time. The yellow flash reappeared. (Katon: Tanebi acquired) Yamatano was dumbfounded at how easy the technique was, and even more so by the fact that he had used no seals in its performance. Given, Yamatano did not need seals for many jutsu, but for techniques he had just learned? He would look into it later, he had already wasted too much time with the scroll of fire. Rolling the scroll back up, he pulled out one of his blank scrolls and some ink, preparing for his real training.
