It was sometime around noon and Vega was stalking through one of her preferred places to grab a bite to eat, a small fish market not far from the park. She was going to grab one of her favorites and maybe a little treat, tuna and perhaps small dried shrimp. Slipping her shawl off of her shoulders and folded it up before tucking it beneath a shrub just behind an out of the way park bench. The woman couldn't go and just leave her stuff out in the open. She didn't fancy having her few possessions stolen, thank you very much, so she was pretty careful.

Making sure to keep low and keeping out of sight, Vega slipped under one of the tables outside, eying the hanging rack that had the small resealable plastic bags that held the dried shrimp. She was debating on how much she would need and if she should grab some for later. Her curled tail hung low behind her, the tip flicking this way and that as she kept an eye out for the shop owner. He appeared to be busy inside with an elderly couple. Okay, that was good. Vega ran across the open space between the table that she was hiding under and the table that had the shrimp hanging from it. Slipping under the white plastic table covering, she peeked out and grabbed a couple small bags, before disappearing beneath the table again. The female crouched as she tucked her little treat away.

With that taken care of, there was the matter of procuring lunch. She sniffed the air. The owner must have gotten a fresh shipment this morning. The air was full of the smells of fresh fish. Vega licked her lips and crept along the wall. Peeking around the corner of a short bank of shelving, she could see that the owner was preoccupied with shucking oysters for the couple. Perfect! That ought to hold his attention. The feline ran along the wall, crossing to press herself up against the ice filled display case. No glass up today, so she was lucky. Standing up to her full height for but a moment was all she needed to grab hold of a decent sized tune steak, turn tail, and run off with her prize.

A laugh escaped her as she neared her bench. "That was easy," she chimed to herself, pleased with what she made off with. "Now to find some quiet place to enjoy myself," she mused as she wrapped the tuna in a page of newspaper.

Vega had been wrapping her shawl around her, holding the few small packets of shrimp between her teeth, when she heard a familiar voice. Turning her head, she offered the female a smile, but quickly blinked and cleared her throat, bowing her head while she removed the shrimp packets from her teeth and tucked them away. She straightened up again, shifting to hold the wrapped up tuna steak in one hand, while tugging her shawl into place. "Sakari, hi. Nice to see you again. You don't have to call me Miss Vega. That's sounds so formal. Just Vega, please." The Ringtail glanced to her fish and chuckled. "Heh, thanks. You're more than welcome to have some. I also have some dried shrimp. What brings you here? How've you been since our first meeting?"

Vega nodded with a smile. "Well good. I'm glad to hear that." Her ears flicked at learning that the other had found some nice hiding places. Her smile then brightened a bit at the mention of a stream. She loved dipping her feet in moving water, not so much full on swimming, the only exception being when she bathed herself. "Oh, a bit of this, a bit of that. Nothing terribly constructive. Just staying out of trouble and all that jazz." She chuckled softly, brushing her bangs away from her good eye. "Lunch," The Ringtail said simply with a smile, waggling the wrapped up tuna and bags of shrimp. "I also stashed my shawl here so it didn't get snagged on anything while nabbing some food." She pulled her shawl close about her shoulders, in order to help hold everything better. Vega looked genuinely pleased that Sakari had accepted her offer to share her lunch. "Well, I would love to see it. Let's go, before this fish warms up. Lead the way and I'll follow." She could honestly say that she was happy to see the tabby again. Sakari was so nice and she was gorgeous, not to mention she had given Vega the best back rub she had ever experienced to date! "You're more than welcome to have one of the little bags of shrimp. They're practically addictive. Hehe. They're just really good."

"Alright. We can divide everything up when we get there." Vega flushed ever so slightly and smiled as Sakari took her hand and began to lead the way. She looked around as they ran, absently taking note of any noteworthy landmarks. Never knew when if it could be useful to know the way back and forth. "It sounds lovely! Practically like heaven. I can hardly wait to see it." It really did. Plenty of food, gorgeous scenery, a good place to stay, and even better, a wonderful occupant. She blinked a bit surprised at her own vein of thought and gave her head a quick little shake. "How long have you lived there?" Vega watched as the city fell away as they moved out past the city's limits.

Vega had remained quiet while waiting for her answer and gave a light laugh when Sakari asked her to repeat it. "What are you dreaming? I lost you there for a moment. I asked how long have you lived there, Sakari." Just as she finished her statement, the other female tripped over a tree root and brought her down with her. She cried out in surprise and braced herself as they fell. When Sakari addressed her again she lifted her head, blinking in silence for a moment before laughing and bowing her head to hide her blush behind her bangs. She was lying on top of her, their features so close! She shook her head and looked up to Sakari. "Oh, I'm fine. Don't worry about me. You sort of broke my fall. Are you alright though? You fell and I landed on you."

Vega went to shake her head and wave off Sakari's apology. "Oh, no need to be sorry. These things do happen. It's life's way of making sure we're still paying attention or something." She chuckled softly, watching as the woman she was still on top of pull a leaf from her hair. Her flush brightened a bit and her smile took on a slightly shy hint to it. "Well, um...We should probably continue on, yes? You can't show me this little slice of heaven of yours if we keep laying here." She could feel Sakari's heart racing. She knew her own was too. She could heart it beating in her ears. Clearing her throat, the Ringtail smiled and pushed herself up to sit beside the other female, offering her a hand to help her sit up.

The Ringtail female offered a faint, tender smile at catching Sakari's soft whimper, her ears drawing back for a moment almost apologetically. Once assuring that she still had everything that she had brought with her, she gave the tabby's hand a small squeeze as they continued on. "Okay." Vega chuckled. "Just from the way you describe it and how happy it makes you look, I don't think I'll have any problem liking it." Vega beamed and trotted up to pace alongside of Sakari. "Of course, I'll come visiting! I'd love to, as often as you'll have me." She answered with a soft laugh. If she absolutely had to say what was on her mind at the moment, the female probably would have been just shy of burning up with a blush at the thoughts dancing through her head. Vega didn't feel the need to keep looking over her shoulder for people when Sakari was there, more so now with their hands laced together on their way to the tabby's little slice of heaven on earth. She had always been so careful to guard herself from everything out there, and here, this beautiful, wonderful she-cat sort of crept in under her radar and was making quite a little place for herself in Vega's mind, and again if she admitted it to herself, her heart as well. She found herself feeling surprised at herself, developing quite a crush on another female. It caught her off-guard and, at present, she couldn't seem to bring herself worry about her personal defenses slowly crumbling around her. "Is this it?" Vega asked looking from the stream ahead of them to Sakari at her side. A smile was playing at her lips as she glanced back again. The closer they drew the nicer it looked and the more excited she got about seeing what the tabby had to show her.

"I can't wait to see everything." Vega curled her tail high at that big smile of Sakari's. It was so wonderful. "Well, I can't go and let that keep happening. I'll swing by as often as I can then." She made a thoughtful sound, glancing between the stream and the little cozy looking house. "Mm, I think...I want to see inside your house. If that's alright. After we eat we can spend time by the stream and enjoy this perfect weather together." A bit of a blush lit up her face as Sakari's tail brushed against her. It gave her goosebumps. She smiled and nodded towards the house. "Care to show me around?"
