Sita had been getting used to her new room here in the tree house. She had taken to finding paints and painting her room to make it look more at home to her. She had flowers and a sun rise and alot of clouds. She was covered in pain and was standing on a strong box in the middle of her room, painting more clouds on the ceiling. Dumont was sitting in her pile of large fluffy blankets in the corner of the room that was painted like a hill of grass and pretty violets. She hummed softly to herself as she thought about her paints, not minding a few drips of paint that landed on her face and hair as she made blue and white clouds on her ceiling.

Birman had moved back in and had decided to let Sita now that he would be close by if she got frightened or had trouble sleeping. Her door was open and the smell of fresh paint drifted. He looked in and watched as she painted and hummed to herself. He smiled, She was the sun and her room was a spring day. It suited her perfectly.
He cleared his throat to let her know he was there, "Hello Sita, you have really improved this place." he leaned on the door frame smiling at her. "I wanted to let you know that I moved back in, like I said i would last time I saw you." He took a step in and looked around at all the walls and ceiling. Lovely, you have real talent Sita. "

Sita jumped a little and quickly got down off the box before she fell off it. "Oh h-hi Birman." she said blushing as she tried to brush the paint off her face, just smearing white and blue all over her face. She laughed nervously and smiled. "I'm gl-glad to know your back here. That will make me feel better...Haven't had anyone else talk t-to me really since i got here." She said nervously as she set her brushes down and smiled softly at him. "Do...you really like it? I have fun painting but i'm sure i look a mess..." she said turning red wondering how much paint she had in her hair. She would have to figure out how to get it out later...

"Not many cats seem to want to join my territory, I'm sorry it's so lonesome here, I kinda liked the solitude at first, but I'm really enjoying the company I have now." His eyes ran across the scenery painted on the walls and then rested on her, covered in smeared paint. "The painted view is beautiful to me, but I'm just a simple monk." He put his hands together and bowed to her. "Always sunny with Sita, by the way, where are you staying while the pain dries? It's unhealthy to breath in these fumes as you sleep." he looked at the sunrise painted on the wall, "Its so bright it's hard to believe it's already dark outside. how long have you been working on it?"

Sita smiled and blushed at him as he kept complimenting her work. She pushed her curles back and smiled. "Since last night. I didn't sleep last night i was too into working. So...i haven't slept in almost 30 hours i think." she said with a blush as she looked around. "I...dunno really where i was planning to sleep. Maybe i'll take my blanket up to the roof and sleep in the open air." she said with a smile as she glanced at him, blushing again as she thought about how he said it was always sunny with her. She liked the sun, it kept the bad things out of the dark. Thats why she had painted the sun, so she always had her sunny room to come to.

Birman's brow furrowed as he thought back. "I was wondering - could I tell you something that I've not told any other soul?" He looked up at her with worried eyes now, as if a secret were weighing down his normally aloof demeanor. "It's about the vigil I just completed in the forest. I -" he listened intently to the air for a split moment, paint dripping from the ceiling, "I think I can tell you about what happened, and about all the lost sleep I had as well. That is," his eyes now softened, almost joking, "if you could keep the secret for me."

Sita gasped worried that something bad had happened. "Oh yes! Please tell me i'd like to help you if i can." she said as she put her stuff aside and sat on her bed of blankets. "You can sit over here if it would be more comfortable for you." she said pulling a corner of her blanket over her lap to keep herself a little warm. "Are you ok? Did something bad happen? Or did something good?" she asked. Could he have found someone....Why did it matter she was much too young as it was still. She pushed her curls back and looked up at him as she played with a bit of torn blanket.

Birman looked down the hallway both ways, his ears twitching as if hearing far away conversations. He walked slowly into the room, dodging a drop of paint as it plopped from the ceiling. "I would say it was good, although I have no idea what the real meaning of it is yet." He curled up next to Sita, his warm aura surrounding her. "It was as if I was tempted to my very core. I could have..." his voice trailed off as he stared off into the painted swirls above him, "anything I wanted, anything at all." He laid back onto the soft blankets. "But at the same time, I overcame it because - " he shook his head and closed his eyes. "It was like the thing I wanted wasn't there."
A drop of paint hit him on the forehead.

Sita sat with her legs pulled up to her chest when he came over to the blankets. She blushed at having him this close. She wrapped her arms around her legs and rested her cheek on her knees as she listened to him. She thought about what he was saying and wondered what this anything could be. She didn't need alot. This room, warmth and some books and her paints and she was happy. She was scared of too many things. She looked back over at him to ask what he wanted and saw the paint land on his head. "Oh my! I'm sorry!" she said as she scooted closer to wipe it off with a corner of her blanket. She was careful not to get too close so as to invade his space. She wiped the orange paint off his forehead and smiled softly, her face all red. "I'm sorry. I don't mind getting covered i-in paint but we c-cant have the head of the t-territory all s-spotted and orange..." she said, nervous now that he might be up set cause of the paint.
