So, here's a brief summary. Skip over it if you already know what InuYasha is, then just skip ahead.

InuYasha
InuYasha was created by Rumiko Takashashi which was written from November 13, 1996 – June 18, 2008.
It starts off showing a half-demon, InuYasha, way back in Feudal Era (12th - 19th century) Japan, attacking a village. He is trying to steal the Jewel of Four Souls and is succeeding until Kikyo, the village's miko, stops him. He is shot with a sacred arrow and pinned to a tree where he falls into a deep sleep for 50 years. Kikyo, unfortunately, dies from a wound.
Flash forward to present day Japan, 1997. Kagome Higurashi is a day away from her 15th birthday at the Shinto shrine with her family. She goes into the well house to retrieve her cat, and is greeted by a centipede demon why pulls her down the Bone Eater's Well. She climbs out of the well again, and realizes that she is no longer in her Japan. She has been sent back to the Sengoku period 50 years after Kikyo's death. She wanders into a forest where she sees a boy with dog-like ears on his head. While going up to touch these ears, she is captured by a villager who is guarding and is taken to meet with Kaede, Kikyo's sister.
Kagome is a reincarnation of Kikyo, and has the Jewel of Four Souls inside of her. Kaede realizes this after the demon comes back and demands the Jewel. Kagome flees to the forest where she, again, finds the boy. He is now awake and calls her Kikyo, but the two are interrupted when the demon comes back and attacks. It bites Kagome and something flies out of her; the Jewel of Four Souls. Trapped to the tree with InuYasha, she pulls out the arrow protruding from his chest and he then proceeds to kill the demon. Kagome takes the jewel, and stops InuYasha from stealing it yet again.
Later on, Kagome is captured and the Jewel is taken from her. InuYasha comes to save her, but is too late as the bird demon that stole it had already swallowed the Jewel and was flying away with it. Carrying Kagome on his back, he tells her to shoot the bird. After a total miss the first time, she shoots again and hits the bird demon. Kagome and InuYasha chase after the falling Jewel, only to realize that it has shattered. They have one piece of the Jewel, and must come together to find each piece.
Little do they know the challenges ahead, including facing a monk, a demon exterminator, a fox demon, and the one who made InuYasha and Kikyo's relationship fall to pieces . . . and perhaps . . . even Kikyo herself.
