I would be speaking of a legendary teacher. If this would not fit to be a simple honoring to him, let this somehow stand as my humble token of gratitude for looking after me and taking care of me as his student.
"There is a power in you that is so great, that you don't have to be afraid. There is a great power in your hands. Don't be afraid."
This somehow keeps ringing in my heart and mind. A teacher showing me what's in me that is great. A teacher has taught me and pointed out to me that one thing worth knowing and standing up for. The power in me. So great. I don't have to be afraid.
I've been fighting and struggling in this battlefield, where the ultimate prize is my life-long career. College is tougher than I thought. It's even an understatement just to say that. And I strived to give what I can. But my teacher taught me to give more than what I can--he taught me how to give the best I can. The excellence is in the details. In every little thing I do, I must give my best--that is the key. This battlefield seized to exist. It has become a training ground--to give the best I can.
And it is here I realize it is more than earning a degree. It's more than earning additional initials at the end of your last name. It is more than pisition. It is more than a career. It's more than earning anything else. It has seized to become a battle or strife to be called a doctor, or have a privilege of wearing a white coat. It has become more than that. Now, it has become simply a reflection of self. A life's calling and a way of responding back.
The teacher who pushed me to my limit, to be the best I can, taught me one of the greatest life lesson I ever learned. He showed me that I am capable of something. And that something is my best. I should not be afraid. He is definitely unlike my other professors. Other professors would ask, "Do you have the guts to do this?" "Can you do this?" But my teacher shrugs, and tells me "You can absolutely do it." And then, tease me I should treat him and my classmates a free lunch if I can perform the complicated procedure on my own.
It's a wonder, how he can see the power in me when others questioned me about it. It makes me believe in my power as well, even if others doubt about it. And that make me hope to be just like my teacher. Even in the simplest way that he is, he still is the best.

This is nice how you describe a person who makes a difference and looks upon you differently. That would certainly make me do my best as well. You are lucky to have that kind of teacher, Blue. I'd like to honor him too. xp
