Kami and her older brother were visiting the edge of Wake Forest they lived in, the city that bordered thier forest had the same name, Wake. The curious little werewolf toddler had somehow coaxed her elder brother to take her to see the city life in the daytime, though he rused to take past the forest's edge. Kami, well I guess the best word for it , scampered, on her hands and feet (yes her feet she is not crawling around on her knees) to the last tree before the city begins and stares into the crowds that cover the streets with amazement, she had never seen so many people before! Then again she hardly ever saw a person, considering that her family was nocturnal for the most part.
"Com'on Brudder! I wanna go see dem up clowse!!"The young girl pleaded with her brother, a undertone of something like a dog's whine in her speak."No," He brother replied. "It's daytime, the sun hurts my eyes, and those people would just be scared of us, we aren't going." He had his arm over his eyes, and was laying under a tree, waiting until his sister's excitement over the people died away so they could back to their "den".

Nearby, a similar argument was taking place, only in reverse. "Chelle, I wanna go furver in!" Oria whined, stamping her foot and looking up at her guardian. "We can only see ve li'l plants here!" Her horns flashed in the sunlight, and her tail flipped and twitched in an irritated manner, reminding Chelle more of a goat than a deer at the moment.
The woman with her, a rather voluptuous woman, dressed in a rather seductive mage's robe, shook her head, trying hard not to chuckle at the mental image of the girl as a goat. "No, Oria. There are dangerous creatures further in." she told her as they walked along the forests edge. "I don't want you to get hurt. No, go a little ways ahead of me, but stay in sight. See if you can find an ashwood tree." The girls studies, after all, had already begun. Oria pouted, but did as she was told, trotting ahead; by now, Kami and her brother would be able to hear the rustling of her feet as she closed in on them.

Kami's ear twitched at the sound of the rustling but her brother ignored it, sticking her tounge out at him she turned and scampered in the direction the noise was coming from, it wasn't long until her sharp eyes spotted the other toddler, "Hellow!!" She called excitedly speeding up, until she was only about a foot away at which point she stood up and shook as many leaves and such from her fur as she could, "Are you one of those human things my mommy's aways warnin' meh abowt? Cause if you are I'm not s'pose ta tawk ta yew."
Kami's brother scowled as she ran off, he wass suppose to keep an eye on her, but it was the middle of the day, he was tired and the grass was laying on was comfortable, the older werewolf soon found himself drifting to sleep.

"Eeeew. I'm not a human." Oria told the other girl, looking terribly offended. "See? I have horns anna tail." She turned and flipped her tail at the other, then giggled. "Chelle's a silly human vough. You can't tawk ta her." she told the girl, mimicking her way of speech as she pointed to her guardian. Chelle, in the meantime, had seen the other toddler and decided to stay back for the time being, letting them play. "I'm Oria. Who're you?"

"okay, dat's good, I'm Kami, I notta human eider, Ima werewolf, my budder's a werewolf too," She said waving a hand in the direction of the brother, "We 'pose ta be noctuwnal, dat meens we sweep durwin' da day, so he's tiwed," The werewolf's tail wagged happily as she explained all this to the other toddler. "My momma said dat human's are dangewous and dat's why we gots to avoids dem but I dun know, dey seems alwight ta meh."

"Werewolf." The toddler tested the word out, then laughed. "I dunno what vat is. I is a Golden Hind. We are very spechiul. But I'm not apposed to talk about it." she nodded sagely, then laughed again. "And Chelle is dangerous, but she wouldn't hurt a kid. She only would hurt a bad guy. You aren't a bad guy, are you?" she suddenly asked, her eyes going wide. What if she'd been fooled? What if this nice seeming toddler was really one of those infamous bad guys in disguise? She balled her fists up, and took a defensive stance. "Acause if you are, I will defeat you!"

The furry toddler fell over laughing at the idea of her being a bad guy, "No! No! I'm a werewolf, not a bad guy!!" She squealed through her laughter, "Not a guy eider!! I'm a girl!!" After she finally stopped laughing she sat up and looked at the other toddler, "Werewolfs are fluffy like me! She told Oria. "And we live in dens wid ouw famlies, and cry to does who left us for da white orb in da sky at night, yep dat's where day go when da take a permanats nap." she nodded acople times, before asking where do your typa peoples go when day take permanent naps?"

She giggled too when the other toddler laughed, thinking it was pretty silly of her to think the girl was a bad guy. She plopped down into the foliage, sitting as well, and picked up a leaf, examining it. "Perminint naps? You mean die? My papa died." she told the other girl solemnly. "Mama said he went to ve Apple Islands. Is a place you can't get to by swimin', or a boat. You have to... take a perminit nap. She said its a nice place, but you only wanna go vere when you're old. She said only Golden Hinds go vere too."

"Hums, I dink I wanna go ta do night orb where I can watches my famaliy when I umm.. dies," The toddler said before standing, do ya wanna play tag or somtin'? I'ma really fasts! Or do ya wanna keep tawkin bout dis 'dult stuff?" The wolf was tiring of the talking and wanted to run around, but she didn't want to be rude to this possible friend. " 'Cause I like runnin'."

"Ooooh! Tag!" The leaf in her hand fell back to the earth, and the girl jumped up, a light in her eyes. "I'm fast too!" she told the other, jumping up and down. "Real fast! I love to run!" she giggled, then got a gleam in her eye, reaching out to touch the toddler's arm. "Tag! Yous it!" She laughed, then turned and began to run away, chubby little legs churning fast as she dodged between trees, trying to throw Kami off her trail.

The other toddlers plan to throw her off trail failed thanks to the werewolf's sensitive nose, but unlike Oria, she didn't fun on just her feet, instead she scampered about using her hands to give her extra boosts of speeds, not to mention she knew about the postioning of all the roots better, considering this was basically her front yard, "I'm gonna get you!" She howled joyfully, and she used thier surroundings to gain a steady advantage on her.

While Chelle maneuvered to keep them both in sight, Oria shrieked and giggled, churning her legs even faster, panting for air. However, she couldn't outrun the other girl, and kept losing ground. Soon, she was well within tagging distance of Kami, tongue sticking out as she tried her hardest to dodge and weave, trying to keep from being touched.

It was all she could do to keep from pouncing the other toddler as she reached out to tag Oria, missing a couple times before finally succeeding in tagging her, then sshe turn and ran in the opposite direction, her mouth partly open from panting, the excersice was quickly exausting the werepup who usually slept through the day. Slowing for abit her mouth opened in a wide yawn, then Kami sped up a bit before tumbling over her sleeping brother who hadn't been as far away as she had thought.
The older werewolf snapped awake as his sister tumbled over him, he quickly jumped to a standing postition and went to picked his sister up. "Are you oaky, Kami?" he asked urgently, after he was holding her comfortably.
"Yes! I'm fine, Brudder! Put me down, I'm pwaying wid my new fwiend!! She replied angrily pounding her little fists against his chest, upset that he was interrupting thier game of tag.

Oria frowned as she saw the older werewolf holding Kami - that was cheating!! "Hey! No fair!" she wailed, coming to stand before the two, stamping her foot. "You can't have adults help you! Vat's 'gainsts ve rules!" She glared at the man, then stuck her finger up at him, pointing dramatically. "Mister, you put her down now! We're playin'!"
At that, Chelle, who'd been a silent shadow, came in to interrupt. "Oria!" she scolded, swooping in to put her hands on the girl's shoulders. "Don't be rude!" she smiled apologetically to the male werewolf, shrugging. "I'm sorry... manners don't mean much to her yet. My name is Chelle, and this is Oria... can I ask your name?"

Sonrou(sun-row)'s ears went back at the sight of the two strangers, expecially the human one, he didn't put Kami down but actually tightened it until she yelped, then he loosened his hold slightly, and spoke angrily in a low voice to Kami, "Hasn't Mom told you not to talk to strangers?!" He paused casting a quick angry glance at the guardian of the other toddler, "Expecially humans!"
"But I didn't tawk ta da human!! I onwy tawked ta Oria!! She's my fwiend nodda stranger! Put me down!!" The toddler screeched angrily in reply, then turn definatly toward Chelle, "Hi Miss Chelle, I'm Kami, an' dis is my stupid head big brudder, Sunnyrowy, dough Mamma says Sonrou, he got less.. Wat'cha say? Mannas den Oria!!" Then she turned to face her brother, "Now I tawked to da human! And PUT ME DOWN!!" She screamed the last part then bit into her brother's arm, his grip loosened a bit more and she was able to slid out of his grasp, and fall the few feet to the ground. Somehow unharmed from the fall, Kami grabbed Oria's hand and began to drag her away from the now very pissed off male, yelling over her shoulder, "Com'on Miss Chelle! Run!!"
