Maniacle Intentions
And come on they don't show people the gritty side of the truth. Yes they talk about slavery in school. What they don't talk about is black women being brutally gang banged until exaughstion with their husband forced to watch. Stomping babies out to control populations etc... I mean roots didn't scratch the surface of the horrors and it goes beyond slavery. But the bad stuff isn't just what we need to know but the positive.
You're going to have to go more in depth about what you mean by slavery being our culture because I'm not understanding it. I don't believe in truth as something religious I mean in general intelligence.
If it's all irrelevant then why are we even here, you make it sound as if there is no purpose to life whatsoever. That's a little pessimistic but I'll respect your views. The universe does show us that just because things are what they are doesn't mean we can't change them into something else. In fact the Universe is more so a constant event of changes more than just things being what they are.
There's nothing pessimistic about it. People spend far too much time thinking and not doing.
I don't care what the purpose of life is. I once would stop often to contemplate it.. but luckily I realized I was just wasting my time. Because one day I am going to die.. but since I'm here .. I'm going to have the best time possible.
I never said the universe couldn't be changed. I'm saying that it doesn't care. The universe simply
is. That is why it is indifferent.
And as far as your talk of atrocities during slavery, information like that is readily available in the information age of the internet.
And our culture is derived from slavery.
Our style, our different ways of communicating with each other, our music, our collective mindsets positive or negative about whatever subject. What we like to eat. How we relate to one another. How we act amongst each other. Our collective desire to distinguish ourselves from whites and other people. Our STRUGGLE with slavery is how we got our culture.
From slavery comes the how and why we do what we do the way we do it. Whether it be for better or for worse. That's how black culture came about.
We aren't African.. we're African-American.
