Personally I prefer the orignial. The scene is more spookier at night, unlike left 4 dead 2 that have it during the day with the sun shinning and so forth. Plus I prefer the orignial characters. Whats your preference? xd

I love them both, to be honest.

But I have to go with L4D2.
Why?
There are a lot of reasons why.

The main thing would be the melee weapons. Who doesn't love killing zombies with a friggin' frying pan? No one! Thats who.

But I also prefer the original. Not only did the characters have true personalities (sorry, but Rochelle is like a personality-less tag-a-long);

But the graphics and how eerie everything was really set the mood.

Especially Blood Harvest. (There's also Hard Rain that's like Blood Harvest)

I got attacked by a Tank in the sugar cane field when we were heading back to the elevator.

left for dead, seeing as they changed very little in the 2nd one. New Weapons, and maps and zombies, characters and the witch walks around. Okay, thanks for not turning it into a patch and just making a whole new game. As for the melee weapons, i dont know about you, but i rather duel wield desert eagles then a damn bat or sword. If the world was really over run with zombies, i'm not gona drop my pistol.

i was the only one that actually stuck to the LFD2 boycott and didnt buy it. I could understand if they changed some things around, but no. Still the same in my point of view. I could understand if they had upgradeable weapons, now thats something! They just made the zombies in the riot gear annoying and the characters have no personality, all i hear then they talk is "blah blah blah, valve is getting the comsumer to eat out of our hands."

Theres still no story, they drop you off in the middle of an infected city, but how did they get infect? That would have been nice, an actual story line to it. I like knowing whats going on, not just, "holy crap! theres zombies! lets slaughter them" So therefore, Left For Dead, is the clear winner, not the 2nd one. The 2nd one just makes you buy it cuz it has maps, zombies and 2 black people and 2 white people, nice! oh and new guns and melee weapons. Congradulations valve, you could have turned all that into a patch but no. Instead you created a new game and threw it on the shelves and proclaimed it. 'Left for dead 2'

Hands down, I'm going with L4D. First off, I fell more "in love" with Bill, Zoey, Francis, and Louis. They have more personality and more likable. Second, I thought the story in L4D2 kinda blew (especially Swamp Fever). Finally, I thought the inclusion of the Defib unit kinda screws the Infected team over in versus =/

I prefer L4D for the characters and that the scenes are at night, makes it alot more creepier. But for L4D2 i like the gaming more in that one, not sure why More stuff to kill probs and also the last level, love it <3. But overall i prefer the first one cos louis is the shiz :3
