User Image"What a clear day! I'll have to look for the clouds, today!" Said the little foal as he ran through the swamp, coat dappled in the sunlight that managed to break through the foliage above. There was so much sun shining, even here in the swamp, that he knew the sky had to be clear as can be, and so he set off towards the border. The ground underfoot became less mushy, but still a thick consistency of mud, being able to hold up the slight weight of a foal. He ran until he broke through the last line of trees. Here, the sun shone so bright he was momentarily blinded, and so he took a few moments to blink and let his eyes adjust to the brightness, and once they did, a crooked smile took over his features. He had been wrong, and he was happy that he had been wrong.

His tiny head tilted back to look up at the sky, and yes, it was a mesmerizing blue, similar to his coat in fact, but there were lots of clouds. Fluffy white clouds that floated by lazily and changed shapes only because the gentle breeze was pushing at them, shoving them forwards and onwards. That blue sky only ended at the horizon when it met the tan of teh dunes and cracked mud that stretched on as far as the eye could see. But First Light was not looking at the ground, he was looking up. He stood there with that stupid smile on his face and was totally captured by the scenes unfolding high up in the sky, the pictures that were being painted, just for him, that a tree could have fallen next to him and he wouldn't have noticed unless it had hit him on the way down.

User ImageAs luck would have it, there were no crashing trees or other suck disasters to take out the light blue foal. Or to even take him by surprise. There was, however, a patch on the ground that was a much lighter color than the dry mud that spread itself across the ground. Pale minty hooves stuck out at odd angles in the air, and a pair of eyes stared similarly up at the shifting clouds. Muzzle sniffing away whenever a breeze happened to chance by, Grounded Leaf's mind was anything but grounded. Sighing up at the bright blueness that filled his vision the very young buck was completely oblivious that there was a patch of blue now on the ground.

"Oh," he whispered lightly to himself. "Oh to be able to shape the clouds with just a thought."

The blue foal's feet began to move, almost of their own accord, bringing him closer to the light brown foal on the ground, one step at a time, until as he brought up his left hoof it brushed up against something... something soft... The touch brought his head out of the clouds, and First Light cast his gaze down to see what had interrupted his lazy walk, and to his surprise he found himself looking down at another foal. "Oh!" he exclaimed, more surprised than anything. What was another kimeti doing all the way out here? He'd only been out to the edges of the swamp a few times before but he had never encountered another kimeti out here in the sun.

His head tilted to the side and he continued, "Are... are you..." he glanced around, "You're out here!" He meant out at the edges of the swamp, but confusion clouded his little mind and he blurted out, "But you're not a cloud at all!"
