Denali had been surprised when John and Ruki came to her and Ruki asked to join. She had told him that she would still be wanting him to apply like everyone else, she hadn't much paid attention to the one time he had played here in the casino...the first time they met had been an epic fail, her fault and she was hormonal enough to admit that. She had felt bad...about a week later when she had thought about it again. She had had her bartenders set up the stage today, with anything that Ruki would need to play. She flipped her hair and sipped her juice as she collapsed into a chair and waited for her best friends lover to get here. She had told him to come alone, so that she wouldn't have to worry about flirting with John and angering Ruki again.

 He had decided to join so he could keep an eye on Denali when it came to John. The man was going to be working here too, so he just had to make sure...of course he knew that John wouldn't willingly go down, but still..he was paranoid about it.
That and he needed something to distract himself from other problems. With 4 staying with Deu and Yami, he had to worry about her having problems without them knowing..and this Nick person..plus other such problems and just--ah. He didn't even know anymore. Why did he have to worry himself about the girl, anyway? Pushing the thoughts from his head, he made his way up the stairs leading to the casino, humming quietly when he pushed past the main door leading inside.
Eyeing the stage, he perked his ears and flicked his tail, a small smile crossing his lips. Plus...he had said he'd watch over Denali, right? He and John could be here to make sure she would be okay as well, especially with her dead-beat ******** not around all the time.
He was adorned in a short kimono robe, red and black in color, tied with a red sash..tight. He was always worried about Denali trying to make a move on him, even when she was pregnant. The shorts he wore only fell to the hem of the robes, boots reaching up to his knees..he had to dress for the occasion, didn't he? Try to impress...he knew he had a decent body, and he liked his legs the most, so he might as well show his thighs off.
"Denali," he greeted, stepping up to her and giving an automatic bow of recognition of her higher 'rank'. "Doing okay?"

Denali heard someone getting closer to the door and then it opened. She heard Ruki's boots on the floor and smiled as she looked over him. "Welcome Ruki." She said with a smile. She liked his look right now, but she hadn't had any kind of sex drive since the little things in her belly had started playing soccer with her kidneys. She gestured to the stage and smiled. "Please choose what you like and start when you like to. Then we'll talk about what i'd like you to do here." She said with a smile, She sipped her juice and smiled warmly. He seemed to be worring over something and hoped it wasn't her. "Oh and please, i wont do anything to you, or mention John. I am much to hot and uncomfortable with these little little things inside me. Please...i am sorry i have you so worried. But i'm harmless for now." she said with a smile hoping to make him feel better.

Looking to the stage, he glanced back to her for a moment and blinked. Not all too comforting, no. The 'for now' didn't help her case at all.
"You want me to just play?" He questioned, making his way over to the stage to begin to look through the different items. Maybe..piano. Or maybe he should just stick to singing. The guitar was there as well...hm.
Since he was most familiar with guitarist work and singing, he plucked up the same one he had used before, surprised that it was still in one piece since he had pretty much thrown it before.
Beginning to strum the guitar to the beat he had once played in the shelter, at first mumbling the words since he didn't seem all the enthused at the moment. But of course, he got more into it as the song continued.

Denali looked at him and smiled. "Yes please. I want to pay full attention this time." she said as he went up and looked over the stuff she had offered. She saw him pick up the guitar, which she had had fixed since he last held it, and smiled as she picked up a cookie next to her. She sighed and hoped that he would forgive her completely for what she had done. She listened to the song and felt her hormones taking over, and her eyes fill with tears. She watched him and smiled. He was good and she liked his voice. The cats would come in just for the nights she would have Ruki preform. She smiled as he finished and clapped as she patted the chair next to her. "I liked it alot. Please Cheri come sit here with me and we'll talk about what i would like you to do here." she said with a smile as she dabbed at her eyes with her sleeve and smiled. "Are you hungry? I have cookies and you can make anything you want at the bar." she said with a smile.

Looking up, he noticed the woman's eyes glaze over and his ears perked forward. A smile crossed his lips and he gingerly set the guitar down, figuring a slower, sadder song might work..not that he would sing it here during the nights he needed to work.
Stepping up to her, his ears folded back slightly and he moved to sit down beside her. "No," he shook his head slightly, "I'm fine." Smiling a bit, he perked his ears up once more, his tail flicking about beside him before he wrapped his tail around his waist.
"You really liked it..? John hasn't even heard that one," he murmured, smoothing the kimono over his lap and fixing one of the stockings he had on beneath the booth. It was a depressing song, not one he'd usually play but..yeah, just one of those moods.

Denali nodded. "I liked it very much. haven't been in much of a happy mood as of late." she said thinking back to how little madness had been around as of late. "Are there other things bothering you? Or do you not want to talk to me about them?" she asked as she tried to sit up more in her chair and frowned. Her back hurt and she was getting another hot flash. She picked up a fan on the table and began fanning herself off to feel better. "I understand if you don't, i just...wanted to ask cause your Johns lover and John is important to me as well. Though i mean it when i say i no longer think of him the way i used to." she said as she huffed and fanned herself faster. "Be glad your not a woman..." she said with a growl as she took her hat off and shook her hair out. "Now are you interested in having a higher position over several other members here in the Casino?" She asked with a smile as she watched him, hoping that he would want to take on a higher position.

Blinking at her curiously, he gave a shrug, not really feeling the need to explain much at this point. They were his own problems, and this was a job interview, was it not?
"Dont worry about it," he smiled a bit, "Nothing you need to worry yourself over," especially while she's pregnant. But really she didn't know the cats involved so she didn't need to worry about it.
"I am," he nodded, raising a hand up to run into his hair. Smiling a bit, he ruffled his hair and ran his fingers back through them to smooth the locks back slowly, "I'd prefer to be higher up actually, I think you can see my character well enough that you'd know I dont like being below people," aha..dirty. That's what he gets for being a perv.
"So what're we thinking here? I know John is head of security," which was a good choice. he wouldn't want to make John angry, personally.

Denali nodded to him. "Well i cant imagine John on bottom either." she said with a smirk as she took off her glass's and polished them with a cloth from her cleavage. She looked at him and smiled. "I want you in charge of all my music. there are two other males who will be playing here sometimes as a group. I want you setting up the schedule for when they play, and if they need help with anything your who they go to. If you don't like their music i don't really care, i just need you to keep them under control. They seem nice enough but i don't want them thinking their bad a** up in here when your better them. I know it and they will come to learn it." she said as she gently placed her glass's on and returned to fanning herself. She looked at him over her glass's and smiled. "You have problems with them i'll let you take care of it inless you really want my help. But you'll have John backing you so i'm sure they will listen." she said as she watched him and rolled her head back. "Do you have anything you specifically want to do while here? Besides play?" she asked with a smile. "And how often do you want to preform??" She asked with a smile.

Smirking at this, he leaned against the counter and crossed one leg over the other, quite happy about what she had decided to make him. He liked being the head of things, having some power...but his smirk only grew when the woman caught on to the perverse comment.
"Depends on what you count as 'on top'. We talking literal or..?" He cooed, chuckling. Was he actually joking around with her? What a change. She was very different while pregnant...he liked it.
Even if she was emotional.
"I can perform whenever John is on duty. I hope you dont have him working everyday," he glared a bit in warning, but it was a false, playful glare. "I can also dance...and bartend if need be," he murmured, tapping his fingers against the counter, "I'm free to work whenever...as long as I get some time with just John still." Tapping his fingers still, his ears perked and he cocked his head, "You also have...escorts, dont you? I can do just about anything here as long as we hold John back. But I wont play 'b***h' so some high-ego b*****d."

Denali looked at him and smiled. "Oh well you know what i mean Ruki. Though i'm sure for you he would be a bottom." she said with a laugh as she flinched and held her tummy. "These buggers don't know when to stop." she muttered before looking at him. "I was thinking Monday through wednesday off, those are my slow days. And evenings after 5 thursday through Sunday cause their very busy. I have another bouncer who will be here more often, she'll be helping guard the kits. I do have an escort service and I'll leave that up to you and John to talk about. I do not mind if you do it, as long as John is ok with it. And you can choose who you want to choose. If you dont like them then drop them. If you don't like someone whos requesting you then say no." she said with a smile. "It will raise your popularity and will make you wanted enough to have lots of cats come in and try to see if you'll be their escort. Be available as little as possible for them and they will come begging." she said with a smile as she. "With how much you are going to be here, and how high up you and John are you can do what ever you would like, except fire people." she said. "All that has to go through me." she said as she looked over him and smiled, glad he seemed to be having fun with her for the moment.

Nodding to this, he tapped his fingers to his lips and listened to her. "That sounds fine to me, I dont mind working a lot. Keeps me from eating or wandering," he didn't want to get chubbier than he already was...and yes, this was chubby to him.
"I'll talk to John about being an escort, I think I'd like the job. And extra money would be nice," he nodded, smiling despite himself. HUmming, he looked around curiously, then back to her, "So these other musicians...are they good?" He questioned, smirking at her playfully, "I dont wanna' make them feel bad because I can kick their a** with my music."

Denali smiled at him and laughed a little. "Well that makes me glad. The casino does get 20% of the money you get from your guests. It goes towards keeping dis place running, and it goes towards paying for anything you give them for free. Drink and food you can get them for free up to a point." she said with a smile. "We have to do what we can to keep them here." She said as she sipped her drink and ate her cookie. "The others are pretty good. They do not draw to me as you do, cause your style is how i like more. Their kinda pop but thats popular as well so its going to be nice to have some difference." she said as she looked at him. "I do hope you guys end up kinda getting along, though i'm not sure if its going to happen...They seem to have a bit of an attitude." she said. She knew Ruki did too, but he was good at hiding it and making himself seem nice. She wasn't sure how these new males would be.

"Yes, of course," he expected more than 20% actually. Nodding to her words, he continued to tap her fingers against his lips, trying to think of any questions he might have...but she'd pretty much covered it.
Except.. "How much play time do I give them? Would you prefer for them to play the days that aren't as popular, then give them play time one or two days during the popular days?" He'd still pop in during the unpopular days. Especially if he had the other males playing when he wasn't there, as far as he was concerned, he represented them, and they represented him. They had to work together.
"What are their names?" He had forgotten to ask about that...oops. Honestly he wasn't really excited about getting to know poppier musicians, but he could deal. It wasn't his fault that he wasn't overly social with other cats..he'd become untrusting in the shelter, most cats were nasty. John had been different...and Denali had proven herself to be untrustworthy at first. Now she was beginning to grow on him. But examples of him disliking perfectly nice cats would be 4...who had grown on him very quickly.

Denali looked over Ruki and smiled. "Well playing time i think will be a privilege. If your not happy with them that day, then give them a shorter slot. If your pleased with them and their work and sound then give them a longer one. See what the Longest is that they can play and then you know what the longest is that they can go and it will help i think." She said as she looked over at Ruki and sighed as she rested her hand on her painful side where one of the kittens had kicked her. She sighed and looked at Ruki. "Can you do me a favor and put a tea bag in the hot water in the coffee pot? I need something for this heart burn." she said as she ate a cookie. "Their names are Spencer and Brendon. Their pretty good though this is the first time that Spencer has played on a REAL drum set so hes been here every day working on his sound, hes pretty good right now and gets better every day that hes come in." She said with a smile as she took a deep breath and leaned back in the chair with her hand on her chest...stupid heartburn.
