History: Olla was born and raised in Telgar, her mother works in the kitchen and her father is in the smithcraft – specifically ceramics he made deliveries of cookware. Her parents met during these deliveries and eventually her mother and father fell in love. Her father moved from High Telgar Hold to live with her mother, and continues his craft. Olla's mother had one daughter before meeting and becoming espoused to her father. Olla's older sister is Onyal.

Olla is like most weyrbrats she has grown up with the tales of plague and the stories of Chaseth. She does her chores in a timely fashion in order to skitter off and do something more entertaining.

A moment that stands out greatly in Olla's life is her older sister, Onyal’s Impression to Eshuth a brown dragon. Because Olla fully agreed with the idea that if you ignored homosexuality long enough it will go away she was completely torn by the impression.

Olla's mother hasn't been the same lively woman since Onyal's leaving and this has driven a wedge in any relationship Olla had with her mother. Olla has found the means to transfer to High Reaches Weyr in hopes to get to at least know a little bit about who Onyal has become.


Appearance: Olla's dark brown hair tumbles to the middle of her back, she takes great care in brushing her hair and general grooming. Hazel eyes. Lighter skinned. Olla wears clothes to accentuate the curves that she has to appear stereotypically feminine. She's short (a common trait in her family) and thin with slight curves.

Personality:
Olla is obedient, when asked to do a something she won't gripe or moan, she'll do a task to the best of her abilities and if she doesn't think the job is done well will seek out help to know exactly how to complete it.

She feels she is approachable and is not at all afraid to approach others. Olla is not easy to anger or become outwardly emotional about a situation - levelheaded to a point - there are specific situations that will obviously effect her; death, flights, festivals, anything about her sister.

Olla can be quite level headed and laid back however, her naturally laid back personality is challenged by the situation she thinks she's been put in by her sister's Impression. It defines a part of her, but not all of her. Her moving to High Reaches was for two reasons - she wants to Impress as well, obviously not a brown, that would be silly, but she wants to Impress in a Weyr that accepts and wants female riders (not just allowing them to stand out of formality/when a queen egg is on the sands.) The second is to get to know Onyal as a rider - her older sister was always kind to her, but they're over 10 years apart.

She has doubts about her abilities in most areas, this isn't to say however that there is any real cause to doubt. Olla's 'situation' causes her to question herself and Telgar in their beliefs.

She has an interest in ceramics that her father has helped nurture, however she doubts her skills in it. She wont make the decision to become a (very late coming) apprentice to the craft and her future feels uncertain.

Strengths:
Approachable
Obedience: She'll do what she's told, she's not one to make waves. A trait - even a strong one. Olla is willing to do what she must to ensure all goes well. This can be from a leadership perspective, or as a follower.
Loyal: Once Olla decides that you're worth her time, she wont leave your side, she's going to help out any way she can, make sure that you're comfortable. She's loyal to her new Weyr and to her sister.

Flaws:
"Clingy" - her loyalty has a flip side, she needs someone to attach herself to. Moving to High Reaches she doesn't have many to attach to, yet. (She also knows that Onyal may or may not want to see her and will be busy with drilling and being a dragonrider.)
Dubious - Olla hasn't been able to really make a decision on her own, she persistently doubts herself on decision making.
