Ancorath so loved games. Particularly games played with lives, where lives were at stake and happiness destroyed or lovers lost at game's end... Free upon the lands, he had found a new board. A gameboard that was the world, and he was King, with a wide assortment of pawns at his feet to pick and choose and discard at will. To be powerful was a heady thing.
So he had a few plans set in place... And a wild card or three to keep him entertained. And while one or two of the leads he had on various interesting mini-games were very tempting, he didn't feel the need to pursue them just yet. Ancorath was a patient hunter, as evidence by how long he had waited for the perfect opportunity.
The perfect chance.
And now? He was free upon the lands, free from the Celestial Prison... Still King of Nightmares, power intact, but now capable of physically influencing the world. And a physical influence was so much more enjoyable then the subtle shift and pull of the Dreamland.
Not that he would give up his gift, but physical strength and the ability to directly contact living souls was a boon the likes of his enemies did not share. Angels were forbidden from making direct contact. They were only to serve and guide, subtle hints of goodness and light.
Nonsense, all of it. Here he was able to maul, hunt, seduce or destroy. Here, he was beyond their reach. And still he had his servants. Soon enough Nightmares would live in this land, as did their King.
But for now? He sought real sport.
"Let's see what we can find to play with." He murmured, massive paws moving at a swift, powerful walk over green grass and golden sand. "Let me see..."

User Image "Mmmm..." Catastrophe lifted her face the the sky and grinned as a salty breeze swept her face. She couldn't see the ocean, but the soil here was mixed with a gorgeous golden sand and the grass was a green that only came from exposure to the elements of the sea.

Her hood was pulled up loosely around her head, shadowing her features from the dimming light. Her stride was cocky and smooth, and she held her head with a cool sort of pride. She had no particular destination in mind, she'd just decided to take a stroll where the ocean breeze would fill her head. She always slept better after such excursions.

Not that she didn't get enough sleep lately. It seemed all she ever did was sleep. "I need to get out more," she sighed.

Oh, here now was a pretty thing. Ancorath smiled as he crested a hill, finding him self looking upon yet another swath of sand and grasses... The tang of salt in the air as he inhaled deeply.
A sea-fed breeze plucked at the strands of his mane, whipping them here and there with a careless fondness he ignored. Dark eyes were fixed elsewhere, uncaring of the pretty picture. Nay, the sinking sun and dimming light held no interest to him, nor did the grass or sand or scent of the sea.
But the creature walking below, now that was interesting. A female clad in white and blue.. Soft colors, pale colors.
Soon enough night would fall and she would be like a star captive on the ground, a splash of white amongst cold stone and sand. Such a color should not interest him so... Such a creature should hold no real value to him.
But he was, curious, over a lioness that would go wandering so close to nightfall with no obvious destination. This one just seemed to be walking, enjoying this place?
"Greetings Lady." He murmured as he slowly paced down the hill, paws sinking slightly in the mixed sand.

She saw his form before she heard his voice, but she'd been ready to completely ignore him for the sake of her stroll. However, him not ignoring her made that a little more difficult.

Catastrophe eyed him as she came to a halt and a frown touched her lips slightly. He was a light lion, in the darkest way possible. His white coat almost seemed... tainted to her, but she couldn't figure out why. She could not see his eyes, though she wondered if she should want too, and the wings on his back seemed trapped to her, as if they didn't want to be there.

Something about this did not bode well to her senses, and that made this male interesting to her.

"Hello." She called, a near purr touching her voice. her frown turned into a cocky grin and she tilted her head slightly, inviting him closer.
