due to be released in march
Gameplay Kratos attacking a group of skeleton enemies with Perses in the background.
God of War III is expected to feature gameplay similar to that of previous installments. Only four weapons have been confirmed so far: the trademark Blades of Athena, the Blade of Olympus, Apollo's Bow, and the Cestus, a pair of fist gauntlets shaped like lion heads. This new weapon appears to have the ability to smash through solid objects such as rocks and plowing through enemy shields, as well as similar range extending chains as the Blades of Athena. The Golden Fleece appears on Kratos' arm in gameplay trailers and the demo, and the Icarus' wings, showing that he keeps both from his adventure in God of War II.
In a recent screenshot, and in the demo, Kratos is seen tearing off the head of the God Helios. In the game his head can be used in a similar fashion to those of Medusa and Euryale from previous games. Although where their powers revolved around stone, Helios's stems from light. Its functions include blinding undead soldiers temporarily, as a lantern in dark areas and to find hidden rooms and passages. There is also a rumor of new blades given to Kratos on his journey, called the Blades of Exile.
Developers have stated that more weapons will be announced and will be more user-friendly than the sub-weapons from previous titles. Combos from previous titles will also make a return as well as new combos. The number of enemies onscreen has been increased to 50 as opposed to the maximum of 15 in previous God of War installments.
Game director Stig Asmussen claimed that the hardware capabilities of the PlayStation 3 would allow more flexibility in creating the characters of God of War III and to allow for further interaction with the environment. On March 26, 2009 a gameplay trailer was released at the Game Developers Conference. The trailer showed Kratos fighting a group of soldiers briefly and taking control of a cyclops to quickly dispatch the enemies, and ultimately killing the cyclops after the soldiers die. The trailer shown is gameplay from the E3 2009 demo.
Also, it was announced on February 2010 that there will be a sex mini-game, like in previous installments, involving Aphrodite and her servants overlooking.
Plot
God of War series fictional chronology
Chains of Olympus God of War Betrayal God of War II God of War III
God of War II ended with Kratos, Gaia and the Titans marching towards Olympus. God of War III will conclude the story of Kratos' attempt to destroy Olympus. A game demo was released at E3 2009 showing Kratos battling his way through the city of Olympia and, with help from the Titan Perses, paralyzing and killing the god Helios. Kratos then fights his way inside a back door into Olympus, and flies up through a vertical shaft using the Wings of Icarus. Meteors fall through the channel and, after emerging through the exit, Perses seems to try to kill Kratos as he falls towards him with blades in-hand.

I've always been a God of War fan, but half the reason I wanna get this game is because my favorite band, Dream Theater, made an instrumental song for the soundtrack.

Well, with God of War 2 you could. And either way, you can always find stuff like that on eBay, long after release.

Well, some people buy them just so that they could sell them for a higher price later on. Either way, I can't afford GOW3 now, but when I can, I'll pay what I have to for the special edition.

Well, a job is on the horizon, so I'll probably get it soon. And even if I don't get a job, I should get my tax returns in April, which should be around $200. So it's money either way.

Well, that's not too bad. $20 a day, 4 days and you got enough to buy a new PS3 game. That's something.

Well, yeah, a real job is always a good idea. But still, I've never baby sat before, but it really sounds like a laid back job to me. Just sitting around, watching TV, making sure the kids don't play with fire.
