Gareth stood at the top of a small hill, watching over the group in the clearing. He knew most of them by sight if not by name, and his family seemed to grow larger with every passing week. He called them his family, though he only had three young of his own, one of which he kept careful watch over.Kalani had been carefully situated on the ground next to her father, her wisps blowing gently in the breeze. Orchid had no idea why she was even here. The only males around were Gareth and Tai and she wasn't even remotely interested in either one of them. The females in this group were even less interesting, except for possibly Li. That one might prove to be an interesting child... Even now Orchid could feel the young one's eyes on her.Li was watching Orchid carefully, thinking she was being sneaky. She wasn't sure if she liked the older female, and wanted to learn more about her before she spoke with her much.Tai Yun lay curled beneath a tree, the leaves providing him with cool shade beneath the sun. He was so bored, there just wasn't much to do around here. He wondered if he would ever meet someone outside of his family group.Miela stood at the edge of a small lake, looking into her reflection. She wouldn't call herself vain, by any means, but she did like to make sure nothing was out of place. Looking around her she saw only the ones in her family group. Sighing, she felt the cloud of boredom that seemed to have descended onto most of them. Jeez, they really needed some friends.

Indie bounced around excitedly, leaping into the air. Although he was an adult, he still had a lot of energy and child-like behavior. In some of his bouncings, he saw flashes of color. He stopped and looked in the direction. There were others that looked like him and his new friends, they must be other kirin.
"Hey, hey!" He shouted, turning back to the two females he was with. "There are other kirin, let's go play with them!"Merri smiled indulgently at the male kirin, Indie. He was so full of energy that it sometimes got tiresome to watch after him. It's not as though it were her responsibility to watch him, but he seemed so lonely without others around. He also seemed fairly incapable of taking care of himself.
"What do you mean there are other kirin? Have you spotted another herd?" She took steps closer to him, peering out in order to spot the kirin he saw. There was a large group of them, much larger than there small group of three. Speaking of which...
Merri glanced behind her at their latest edition. A brightly colored pink female.Rosa Lee blew an idle strand of hair out of her eyes.
"Ugh, quit being so noisy. Why must you jump about so much, just chill for a minute. Can't we take a break or something and just like, lay somewhere? I'm sooooo sick of walking."
Rosa had found these other two kirin, and with nothing better to do joined their group. But they moved around sooooo much, and never stayed in the same spot. All this walking was like, totally killing her hooves. So annoying.
And the one male, not even cute. What is up with that.

Gareth barely blinked as the wisp that had been his daughter fairly poofed into a beautiful young female. He smiled gently at her, happy to finally meet her. Kalani smiled up at Gareth, her whole body shaking with excitement. Looking around her new environment, she spotted a small herd of kirin coming closer. "Oh! Daddy! LOOK! NEW FRIENDS!" Practically dancing circles around her father, Kalani giggled. "Can I go say hi?" Orchid wrinkled her nose as she noticed the wisp has transformed into a child. Ugh. Just what she needed, a hyper little thing running around. Li was bad enough, her curiousity already having earned her a n** or two from the violet adult. Following Kalani's gaze, she saw the newcomers and sighed. Maybe they'd be more interesting than this lot. She'd let them come to her, however. Li wandered over to Miela, keeping an eye on Orchid as well as the kirin she saw in the distance. "Ela, there's new ones coming~ think they'll want to be friends?" Glancing back to the new three, she finished her thought. "Or enemies?"Tai Yun flicked an ear as he fell halfway asleep, his eyes closed but his ears listening to everything around him."Um? Oh, hey, Li." She shook her head once to get her mane to fall the way she wanted it to then turned her attention to the older of the two youngest. "I don't think they're enemies, hon. It's easier to be friends first~" she said, her logic coming out of no where and not making a whole lot of sense to anyone but herself.

Orleans look behind her as she ran for dear life. She just couldn't take it any longer. If she have to watch those boys paly fight one more time, she was going to go mad. Why must she be the only girl in the group...? And why couldn't for find other female kirin to talk to...? The bight color kirin gasp as she heard the boys calling out her name. She didn't want to be around them right now but they were to dumb to listen to her. Why can't they just get a clue...? Orleans turn her head forward then lower it to cut throught the wind that blow ontop of her. She lay her ear over the top of her head, picking up her pace just before the boys notice she was nowhere closer to them. She hope to lost them for the time being and maybe look around for others female kirin to talk to. She couldn't be the only one, right...? She so hope so. That would just cause her to want to jump off a cliff and into the wild sae below. Orleans to busy in her train of thoughs, she didn't notice a rock sticking up from the ground just a few feets infront of her. When she did, it was already too late. She hoof got caught on it cuasing her to skip and fall head over hoofs. She didn't a few spin before coming to a stop on her back. Feeling very dizzy, Orleans trun her body over and layed there til she didn't felt as dizzy. She then got up, holding the hoof that got caught by the rock up, off the ground. She had hurt her hoof badly and couldn't run anymore. So, she starting to walk, moaning in pain when each light motion the past thought her hurt leg.

Indie: Indie raced over to the other group of kirin, barely containing his excitement and not bothering to wait for his female companions to catch up. He skidded to a halt a couple feet away, panting and out of breath.
"Hi!" He shouted excitedly, looking around between the kirin. "I'm Indie and I'm a kirin! Who are you?" He posed the question to no one in particular; he had never met this many other kirin before. He was so excited!Merri: Merri sighed as Indie took off at a dash. He had a lot of energy. She glanced back at Rosa; that girl always had something to whine about.
"Come one Rosa, it looks like Indie has found some kirin to play with. We better hurry up before he frightens them all away. Just think, once we get there, you can lay down until Indie wants to leave again." She smiled, though it had a sarcastic tinge to it.Rosa Lee: Rosa grumbled. It was so NOT fair that they decided where and when to go based on that spastic boy. Why couldn't she ever decide where to go!? She stamped her hoof and huffed. Totally unjust.
Still, she trailed behind Merri as they approached the other kirin. There was no sense in travel alone, that was a total bummer.

Orleans walk every so slowly out of the woods to an opening with a small hill at one side. She stop and look around, noticing, to her shock, other kirins. A good hand full of them. And some of them were girls. At long last! Female kirnis. Orleans was so happy, she forgot about her hurt leg. But it did return once she try to step onto it. "Owww!" Orleans cry out loud as she fall onto her keens and close her eyes. She soon starting to cry from how much her leg was hurt. 'Great!' Orleans thought to herself as she sit down over the grass. 'I find other girls kirins to talk to and I have to go and hurt my leg! This bite!'

Merri: Merri's ear twitched as she heard an odd sound. She glanced about to discover it's origin and saw a female kirin on the edge of the woods laying in the grass. Merri tilted her head quizzically; perhaps this kirin was injured and that was the noise she heard.
She glanced at Indie, and decided he'd be alright if she left for a short time. Merri turned to Rosa, who was a little ways behind her.
"I'm going to check on that kirin over there," she motioned with her head. "You stay here and watch Indie."
She turned and trotted towards the new kirin.Rosa Lee: "Whaaaat? No way!" Rosa protested. "There is like, no way I'm staying here with him."
She followed Merri, moving quickly until she caught up.Merri: Merri sighed, rolling her eyes. There was just no reasoning with Rosa.
She approached the other female cautiously, unsure whether or not to expect hostile treatment. She kept her distance and called out.
"Hello? Are you injured? Do you need help?"
She tilted her head a bit, unsure if this was the correct approach to take. She had never helped an injured kirin before.

Orleans open her eyes and life her head off the ground as she heard someone call out to her. She smile happfully up to the one that spoke to her and nods her head like wild. "Hello! Yes! Yes, I did hurt myself and I do need help. Do you mind helping me out please...?" Orleans smile as big and bightly as she can. She look from one to the other, still smiling sweetly. Just her luck to of them come to her. She was just so happy.

Merri: Merri approached cautiously, still a bit wary. She didn't often meet other kirin, so didn't know what to expect.
"I'm not sure how to help you, but I will in any way I can. Come on Rosa, you followed me, you help too."Rosa Lee: "Whaat? Are you like, serious? Physical labor is totally not my things. I think you can like, totally handle it yourself, ya know?"
She shook her head a bit, her mane twirling. She was way to glamorous to be helping some one.

Orleans watch both femake kirin. She giggles softly as the bight color kirin starting to wine about helping her out. Orleans look over to the once call Rosa and just smile softly at her. "Don't worry too much. I don't need both of you to help me out. All I need is someone to help to the lake over there so I can sticke my leg in it. I'm sure the cold water would help." Orleans look back to the red and golden kirin. "Mind if I lean against you...?"

Merri: "Yea, no problem," Merri answered, moving closer to Orleans. She stood beside her, close enough so that she could use her as support, but far enough so walking wouldn't be awkward.
"My name's Merri, and this is Rosa," she said, gesturing to Rosa. "We have another in our group, Indie, but he's over by the water."

Orleans use her good legs to lift her off the ground and ontop Merri's side. She held her hurt leg up in the air but kept her bight smile over her lips. "I'm Orleans. I have two others with me but..." She close her eyes, giggles in an awkward way, "I kind of needing to get away from them for a few hour. But I'm sure they trying to find me." 'Just hope those two don't find me so soon...'

Merri: "Oh?" She said, bracing herself to support Orleans weight. "Yea, I can understand the feeling."
She laughed a bit, being careful not to jostle the other kirin's weight too much. Merri hesitantly took a step forward, glancing at Orleans again.
"So, just down to the water, right?"

Orleans giggles when Merri say she understand. Which made her wonder, is this Indie guy anything like the two male in her group? She so hope not. Last thing she needing was another manly man kirin around her. After she shook that thought from her mind, Orleans nods her head to answer Merri. "Yes, please. Just to the water then you be free of me." As she and Merri walk off to the lake, Orleans look back to see if that other, Rosa, would follow them or just stay behind.

Merri walked carefully, trying her best to support the other kirin. This was not something she was used to doing, so she was a bit nervous. She glanced at Orleans often, trying to make sure she wasn't having difficulty walking. She was slightly relieved when they reached the lake; it's not that she disliked the female kirin, she just wasn't used to physical contact.Rosa Lee hesitated momentarily, then trotted after Merri and Orleans on their way to the lake. She wasn't exactly sure what she thought of this new kirin, so decided to be silent rather than speaking. Rosa, in all actuality, was a bit shy around strangers.
