Character's Name: Ravidel / Ramirez Aluna

Gender: Male

Age: Appears to be in his mid-twenties.

Race/Species: Half-Fae Mystic, Ascended Aisling

Series: Dark Ages, SaGa Frontier

Reason person is on Gaia: Ravidel's reasons for being on Gaia are largely unknown. What is known is that he wanders across the dimensions and worlds, and perhaps even through time, searching for something, or someone...

Personality: Though he prefers to keep largely to himself for reasons unknown, Ravidel is as friendly as he feels he can allow himself to be, extending the barest measures of courtesy when conversing, his replies are typically cold and distanced, an emotional withdrawal from those around him. He shows rare glimpses of a kind and warm-hearted man beneath the cool shell he projects, but those times are few and far between.

Appearance: Ravidel is, despite being obviously male, 'pretty'. His features are elfin, and somewhat delicate, with intense but distant violet eyes. No two descriptions of Ravidel throughout history are the same, and in this particular form, his hair is black, and left long and unbound. His physical body is of slightly-better than average build, and he's slender, but athletic. His outfits are the most basic of basic, loose white shirts, button up or pullover, often in an old-fashioned style, with black pants, boots and a belt. In the world of Gaia, he appears elven, in part due to his fae ancestry.

Background Story: Ravidel is the sole child of a being by the name of Orlouge, and an Unseelie Fae woman. Born and raised in Temuair, he began his life practically as a pauper, living with a family of mundane's in a small village called Mileth. He spent much of his early life wandering Temuair as a young adventurer until his Aisling spark awakened - the first step in what would later become an elaborate climb to power. Despite his initial beginnings, once his spark had blossomed he was an entirely different individual. He took up with a group of pirates based out of Port Oren, a rogue by trade. It was in his travels that he met the woman who would change his life for good.

Though their story is complicated, he eventually altered his lot in life, becoming a warrior, and a priest, the ultimate shield to stand between his love and his father, who sought her as one of his many trophy brides. With their combined might, he overthrew Orlouge and took up the mantle of Charm Lord, releasing all but a select few brides who were content with their lot. During his rule as Charm Lord, he and his beloved were married, and had two children, sharing his immortality with her by a bond of the blood, unwilling to lose her even to death.

Her sudden disappearance sent him into a fit of depression and rage that lasted for a year. After casting out the last of the remaining brides of his father, and assuring the care of his children, he took off on what he knew might be a fruitless chase, hunting for the other half of his soul across time and space. Though he knows he cannot change what has happened to her, and must wait for her to find him, he observes her from a distance, regardless of what experiences, and what other loves she may or may not find. Forced into the role of watcher, he acts as her protector even still.

Job/Occupation: Ravidel doesn't have a specific job that he performs, except in the regards to being the Charm Lord. From that position, he rules over the Mystics of Facinaturu from his father's old domain, Chateau Aiguille, with the assistance of his adviser, Vadjouel.

How does your character know about the Crisis?- He doesn't, precisely, know about the crisis. All he knows is that the same undeniable force that has dragged him throughout history and time, has once again drug him here.

Siding: He's never been on anyone's 'side' except his own, to whatever end that may lead him to. Be it for good or ill. In past times, he served under the Light, so that is as good a place as any to designate him to.

Powers/Abilities: Ravidel uses Old Magick, spells from a time and age long past. Many of his spells are of a healing nature, though he has an offensive spell or two, and require incantations in order to cast, though he has mastered the casting of some spells with no incantation required at all. The list of spells, beneficial and bolstering in nature is rather long, suffice to say he can enhance and heal, as well as shield and curse. He also has some unique rogue skills which he uses in tandem to his magical capabilities, giving him versatility. He has some minor melee abilities, which complement his rogue skills, giving him the ability to take a harder hit, though he honestly prefers not to.

The spells and skills Ravidel uses require the expenditure of energy, and are replenished by rest, and other means, but there are also abnormal ways to replenish magick, though he prefers not to use them. What makes Ravidel dangerous besides these skills and spells are the powers lent to him by his Mystic blood. The most crippling, and least used of his powers are that of the raw physical charisma he exudes as the Charm Lord.

The ability to walk into a room and cause men and women alike to bow to his whims and desire to serve him. Because he believes strongly in the free will of others, he refuses to use this power except in the most extreme of situations, and even then, he would rather find an alternate solution.

Weaknesses: Despite his power and blood, Ravidel does have weaknesses. Most of them are basic. He can be killed, he can be injured. He has a moderate weakness to iron, fueled by his Unseelie heritage but dampened by his Mystic blood. Because he is more slight of frame, he relies on speed and accuracy, out maneuvering and out thinking his opponent rather than overpowering him. His lack of heavy-hitting offensive magick is also what some would consider a weakness, though he himself does not think so. While he cannot blow up a planet, he can do equivalent damage in other, slightly less violent ways.

Gear: Ravidel is in possession of his Grandmaster Regalia, though he prefers not to rely on it, except in battle against very strong spellcasters. He is capable of calling these garments into being on his person at a whim, and they are contained in an extra-dimensional space located inside the pendant he wears around his throat.

Master Celestial Staff / Blade - A gift from Aoife as proof of his Mastery, then enchanted further when Ravidel reached Grandmaster status. When held, the staff increases the power of Ravidel's resistance to magic by 30%, and grants him +20% mana. Also, it reduces the spell incantations required by a large amount. The staff must be held in a hand to use its effects, or 'wielded' with telekinetic power. Simply carrying it on one's person will not activate its powers. In recent years, Ravidel has researched the art of forging weapons, and redesigned the staff into a blade. The weapon may shift between the two forms freely, with the only real difference being that when he is focusing solely on healing, the staff is the preferred form, and when physically fighting, the blade is the preferred form. The blade itself increases his physical strength by a moderate amount.
