Kaleb was thrilled to be out of the house once more. Finally Spring was showing signs of having arrived, the sun was out and shining, the sky was blue. He was going to go see the petting farm that had just opened in Barton. What would it be like? His older brothers had tried scaring him with stories of how the animals at petting zoos often escaped to attack visiting children. He didn't believe them in the least, of course. Animals were gentle and loving, just like he was.
Though after growing, Kaleb had lost some of his shy tendencies, he was still wary of those he was just meeting. He paid the person at obviously hastily put up booth and walked into the group of pens. There were goats, chickens, potbellied pigs, even two llamas. Kaleb was a little shy of these, since he had heard that they could spit pretty far. He certainly didn't want to be spit on.

Nestled in a rather fluffy corner of the large Petting Zoo was a little boy who seemed to be alone. Well, not entirely alone, all around him were baby chickens, ducks, and even a little lamb. It was a rather secluded corner, mainly because the food dispensers were on the other side of the pin, and all the adult animals gathered around there.
He was a rather peculiar little boy, with dazzling eyes and two pale tentacles that rose from his hair, though right now, they were laying flat on his head in a peaceful manner. If not for their occasional wiggle, they could have been passed off as weird hair accessories. A pair of light grey wings protruded out of his back, giving him the image of a little angel.
He laid there in the hay, his head resting on the crook of the little baby lamb, who was sleeping, and looked up at the sky.. It was so peaceful here..

Kaleb noticed the group of baby animals, and decided to go over to them. He patted one of the goats--he thought it was a African Boar; but it was hard to tell seeing as he had only seen pictures of them in books. He continued towards the corner of baby animals. He hadn't yet spotted the toddler amongst them; or perhaps he would have hesitated. He was still rather shy; something he hoped he would soon grow out of. His brothers liked making fun of him because of it; according to them, lust children were not supposed to be shy.
He was in petting range of the lamb now, and had finally noticed Mischa. He gave a smile. It was okay; there was only one other person and he was a toddler. He could do that.
"Hi, my name's Kaleb," he introduced himself, putting his hand by the lamb's nose so it could smell him while he was speaking to Mischa. "What's your name?"

Soon enough, a dark shadow was cast over the peaceful scene. Mischa didn't like this at all, his little animal companions didn't seem to like it either, some of them scattering to one side, where they were hidden beneath on of his wings..
But the boy didn't seem to be hostile.. And little sheepy liked him too, so he must have been okay..
"Ooh.. I is Mischa~ Nice too meet uu, big boy!!"

Kaleb couldn't believe it. The animals didn't like him. He usually was so good with animals; at least, he tended to be good with them in his own home. He sighed and reached out a hand to pet the baby lamb. "Hello," he said, addressing it. Then he looked to Mischa and gave the younger boy a smile.
"Hi Mischa," he said. "I'm Kaleb," he repeated, thinking that the toddler hadn't heard him the first time he'd said his name. "Are you visiting the animals too? They seem to really like you." He let the lamb smell his hand before petting it again. "I've got cats and dogs at home, so I'm used to them--but they seem kinda shy around me."
