"Oofwaaaaaaaaaaa~" Bapp groaned as he stretched. "Finally, a village!" Picking up his humongous baggage, he walked into the busy town, hoping to find a place to stay.
Many people stared at the boy, carrying a bag nearly bigger than himself, but he didn't seem fatigued at all. He climbed mountains with this thing. Just walking was nothing.
Many stands were open, along with various attractions. The occasion? Valentine's.
The only thing Bapp knew about this day was the insane amount of chocolates suddenly being sold everywhere.
"I don't like chocolate all that much..." He grumbled as he continued to push his way through the crowd.

The bashing against the door became louder.
Quivering in fear, Dorothy hugged her brother even tighter.
Incapable of human speech and unable to comfort his sister, all Fel could do was find a way out of the room.
"Come out, you little demons!" The shouting from behind the door was gradually becoming louder. It was apparent the door was beginning to break down. There was barely any time left.
In desperation, Fel grabbed his sister, and shielding her with his own body, jumped through the glass window, falling from a height of four stories along with raining glass shards.
Having been cushioned from the impact with her brother's body, Dorothy staggered as she rose. "Brother..." She swept off glass shards from her brother's cold body. "Brother... please... get up... they're coming..."
On the brink of consciousness, Fel nudged her away. He couldn't tell her what to do, even though he very much wanted to protect her, and wanted her to run away.
Undeterred, she continued to return to his side and nudged him. She stood up, intending to shout for help, but she was not brave enough to raise her voice. Her efforts were interrupted by her body suddenly being lifted up into the air.
"Got you, you little wench!"
Fel flipped to his feet, ignoring the amount of blood pouring out from his wounds, but he was kicked down by the man's comrades.
"He's good as dead. Leave him." The man turned to walk away, but despite his injuries, Fel continued to climb to his feet, and lunged at the man, but was knocked out by the swing of a metal baseball bat.

Bapp wriggled his way through the last bit of crowd and came out on a near empty dirt path.
"I guess people who tire of the festivities come here to rest... Hm?" Bapp's attention was diverted to a truck far off into the distance. A bunch of men carrying a struggling girl and chucking her into a potato sack.
"Heyyyyy, that's not gentlemanly at all!" He removed his baggage, chucking it aside but taking only a long item rolled up in cloth. Pulling it off, it revealed a farmer's scythe.
As the truck began to start up, Bapp jumped up and released the lock on the door, jumping into the truck as it began to move. The two watchmen inside were surprised to see a kid with a scythe twice his height jump into the truck, and instinctively did the first thing any IGS infected guard would do. Stare blankly, then lunge recklessly.
With a small sidestep, Bapp let them tumble out onto the road.
Hurriedly hoisting the moving potato sack, he jumped out onto the road and braced the bag as he rolled out onto the freeway.
Opening it, inside was the young girl with tattered clothes and long hair covering her face.

Suddenly being moved, Dorothy felt extremely uneasy.
A leap was taken, and The bag was opened, and sunlight burst into her vision, together with a shadowed silhouette.
As her vision adjusted she saw past her long fringe. A young boy around her age with glasses and a green jacket. His eyes were different colors, but for some reason they had an unexplainable depth to them.
Her heart skipped a beat. Snapping out of her trance, she quickly remembered her priorities.
"My... brother...!!" She stuttered. With the abrupt realization of the fact she was talking to an utter stranger, she instinctively grabbed his hand and ran, pulling him up the uphill road to the front of the ransacked mansion, showing him the lifeless body of her brother.
