*Going to school with Mommy Shells*

Serena woke up and headed into the kitchen. Hyde was making waffles for the family. She sat at her seat and waited patiently for her food. Quietly she hummed a song to herself.

"Mommy Hyde what are we going to do today?" She asked him as he served waffles to her. He stared at her confused.

"I am not going to be here today. I have work. Shells is going to be watching you." he explained. He sat down across from Serena and started munching on a waffle. Shells walked in, buttoning up her shirt. "What are you dressed up for? Normally on your day off you wear you pj's."

Shells stoped and looked at him with slight annoyance. "I am going to work, like I always do."

Hyde looked from Shells to Serena and then back to Shells. "Shells I thought you had today off, because the band has a gig for once and I will be gone all day."

"Well take Serena with you. She would love to listen to you play. Am I right sweetie?" Shells asked the toddler. Serena nodded her head. "Great, have a good time."

"Shells- I am not taking her. It will be inside a bar. She is not aloud there."

Shells face dropped, but then she caught herself and put a huge fake smile on her face. "Well kiddo you are stuck going with me then." She said. Serena could tell she wasn't too happy about the sitioation. Once Shells was fully dressed she took Serena by the hand and led her out the door. The high school wasn't far from the house. It didn't take them long to walk there. Serena was admiring the birds sing.

The school was huge. Students where black, white and blue uniforms walked around the campus in packs. Serena held Shells had, not wanting to get lost in the mass confusion. Shells took her to a building separated from the main. Inside was Shells music room. Large glass windows shown brightly in the room. The windows had pictures of famous musician and composers, from Bach to Miles Davis even Pink Floyd (Hyde's favorite band) had their own window.

Serena let go of Shells had and started looking at the larger instruments. She would ask Shells what the instrument was called and Shells would explain what it was and how it was used. Serena was having fun beating notes on the bass drum when the bell rang. Students started pileing into the class room. Some wore the uniform, but most wore causuial clothing.

Timidly Serena went and hid behind Shells. The students got themselves chairs and then set up their instruments. Shells and Serena walked to the front of the class room and stood on the podium.

"Class I would like you all to meet my daughter Serena." Shells announced as she pushed Serena forward. Sereba's face went bright red. Some of the girls went aw at the sight of her. Once the class was silent again Shells start warm ups.

Quietly Serena sat watched the instruments play together. She watched how each instrument was played and was awed by the talent of the players. Serena wanted to play with them too, more than anything else, but she wasn't at the skill level yet. The class flew by too quickly for Serena. The student left for their next class.

"Mommy Shells- I want to stay here and listen to the people play." she asked. "Can we move here so I can listen to them all the time?"

Shells laughed, which caused Serena to get upset. "No honey, but how about you be my new assistant? You behaved well enough that you won't cause a problem."

Serena thought about it for a moment. "Okay Mommy Shells. What do I do as an assistant?"

"Well you can start by escorting me to lunch." Shells said, holding her hand out for Serena to grab. Serena grabbed her hand and they headed to the lunch room.
