A fluffy sandy coloured tail flicked from side to side, it's owner hiden beneath a pile of leaves. A pair of greeny orange eyes stared out the other end, watching a little bird picking at the still slightly frozen ground. His tail flicked slowly side to side, the male shifting his weight from paw to paw, his butt now in the air. The leaves that he was hiding in made a rustling noise as he moved his bum and the bird he was stalking looked up at him with what Phosphor could swear was a look of 'you've got to be kidding'. In a sudden panic that his prey was going to fly away Phosphor pounced out of the leaves with a large amount of energy, watching in horror as his prey flew away, almost laughing at him as it flew away.

Phosphor sighed, sitting down, his tail continuing to flick softly. He was starting to get annoyed at himself. His siblings could easily catch birds and the like with ease but Phosphor had always had a problem with it. Both of his parents were large cats so the male was fluffy and rather large in stature, even if he was lean. Unfortinatly he hadn't really grown into his body yet. He found it awkward to be in any way elegent and often tripped over his own paws. But he was trying to learn to be a better hunter. So far he was failing though and this was starting to get the normally happy go lucky kitten down. He grumbled to himself, unsure what to do now.

Phos looked over at the other kitten who had come over to him sheepishly. "My mother has been trying to teach me how catch birds and the like. I'm not very good." he said with a sigh. Phosphor had always had a problem. He wasn't very good at being silent and was even worse at being patient. He was also a very large cat, getting the best of both his parents in size. All of this made him a less than perfect hunter. He wasn't too disheartened by this though. He knew that living in a city it wouldn't be that bad if you couldn't catch animals. You could always scavenge. He looked down at the other kitten with a toothy grin. "Oh no it's fine. I don't want to eat your kill. I was more practicing than anything anyway. I've never been good at this sort of thing you see but I'm hoping with practice I can get a bit better." he said with a confident smile, sitting down in the pile of leaves.

Phos stuck out his little pink tounge at the girl. He had his own talents, he supposed, but being graceful wasn't one of them. Plus his size made it much more difficult for him to be graceful, being fluffy is a difficult thing to deal with when you can't walk without falling over. "Well I suppose so." he said, thinking. "I mean I think I have some things going for my that my sisters don't but I suppose when it comes to intelligence and grace I'm afraid I may have gotten the short end of the straw." he said with a laugh, feeling kind of uncomfortable. It was a touchy subject for Phos. One of his sisters was musically gifted, the other increadibly intelligent. He still didn't know what he was good at yet and it made the boy feel very inferior to his siblings. Phos shook his head with a lopsided grin. "Oh thanks anyway but seriously I'm fine. I don't like bird all that much, it was much more then attempt to catch it that I was more serious about."

Phos pricked his ears up when she spoke and looked over at the frog quickly. He then looked at her, his expression embaressed. "But what if I can't catch it? I mean I can't catch anything..." He then shook his head with a sigh. "Well I suppose I did already make a fool of myself infront of you so I suppose whats another time?" he said before moving a bit closer and crouching down into a pouncing position. He was embaressed now and felt like he was under pressure. Knowing his luck the stupid frog could fly.
