Effeminate merman gets sexy points. I don't know if he's ambiguous but I'd like to point out trans-gendered and trans-sexed are two different things. Gender is more of an orientation, a condition or a feeling. Gender is psychological while sex is physical. You don't need an operation to be transgender. You do, however, need an operation to be transsexual.
So yes, this merfolk is, at least arguably, ambiguous, I'd say. Plus the picture makes me very happy. :3
