Has anybody else seen this?

Meh. They're entitled to their own opinion. If they don't like it, sucks for them 'cos they're missing out. I've seen the review, and honestly? I've heard worse.

Haven't heard of Electric Playground. But I can understand why people don't like Repo!. Unless they were being douche bags about it. That's unprofessional and not cool.

This is nothing new. Repo's been dissed before. It's received poor reviews before. Everyone has their own cup of tea. The reviews vary as do the sources.

The only thing that makes me really mad is when someone writes a bad review who clearly only watched the trailer, or some scenes, or read the back of the box. There was one in Rolling Stone, for example, that was essentially just a paragraph about how much Paris Hilton sucked. (Interestingly, some of the comments in reply are longer, and more insightful, even when they agree the movie wasn't good.)
If someone legitimately hates the movie, that's fine by me. It makes me a little sad, but they have a right to hate it.

Electric Playground rates things like video games, So I thought the stuff people usually hate wouldn't matter... I just thought they'd like it.
... One guy liked it anyway ):

Scaramouche Fandango Meh. They're entitled to their own opinion. If they don't like it, sucks for them 'cos they're missing out. I've seen the review, and honestly? I've heard worse. Yeah.. I was really surprised though. They wouldn't be shocked/horrified by gore, So I thought they would appreciate the storyline. Its funny, serious, and sad. And then of course... Paris' face....

And her face fell off. It was GREAT! =D I don't think the trailer was very good to be honest. It was really long.

Critiques shouldn't diss a movie just because they don't like it either..(Bear with me~!) Example: An English teacher should not fail a well written short story for its controversial topic.
Its a good movie, with good actors, some of them showing sides we haven't seen before, or haven't seen enough of. Its funny, and serious and sad. It made me think. And the music throughout was amazing.

No, I totally get what you mean and I agree. By "being douche bags about it", I meant "by writing a vehement, one-sided list of all the ways a movie sucked". You were much more eloquent than I was, haha. smile A review should be fair.
Technically, no, Repo! is not the greatest movie ever. Some of it is the fault of low budget, but some of it is the fault of awkward writing. But it has imagination by the pound, and that's what brings in its fans. But the cast was great, that can not be argued. The talent behind the music was solid. Bauhaus ftw.

Manic Meggy sqwarriorempress Who or what's Electric Playground? http://www.elecplay.com/They rate video games... & stuff.I see, I see... And I agree with the whole entitled to one's opinion thing. If Repo's not your thing then that's ok, just don't bash it because you don't think it's the best. It does make me a little sad too, but yeah there own opinion, and yada yada. And people surprise you sometimes. My mom has this one friend on facebook, that she knew from a long while back and my mom had told her about my obsession and everything so she watched it and loved it. The best part was that she's a bit of a religious person (not overly but still) and she really liked it and appreciated it. T'was cool. Repo is a low-budget, R-Rated, rock opera, all singing (they're the same but whatever), allegory, that touches on a lot of points. And it's apocalyptic. Some people don't like this, which is understandable. But others (like me) love it, and obsess over it, and get a lot out of it.
