Creeping closer to the fence, Aki smirked as he noticed the large, lumbering hound dog pacing in the back yard. He was on a heavy chain and it drug the ground as he walked with heavy steps. With a little trill of excitement, he hopped up the fence, lingering at the top with a hiss, and then dropped on the other side. The dog snapped his gaze towards him, narrowing his eyes. Aki waved his stub tail and grinned widely, lazily, jade eyes gleaming. "Can't get me, can ya, stupid?" Oh, how he loved tormenting dogs... The dog bayed and he slinked close. The dog leaned in and he sliced three gashes in the mutt's nose. The dog lunged, hit the end of his chain, and bounced back. Aki laughed in his face, feeling quite bold indeed. He'd found that this was all a big, thrilling game. The game of tease-and-chase. Even though he was typically calm and somewhat sedate, he couldn't get over his own heart racing. It lead to him seeking out thrills and dangers. Oh, how he loved it. So he baited the dog three different times. On the third time, however, the chain came loose from the ground with a resounding snap. The dog's jaws snapped dangerously close to his face as he raced for his life -- heart speeding like a jackrabbits as he clung to the fence. The dog threw his weight against it, angry, but Aki had already scaled it and hit the ground flying. He didn't slow down until he reached the alley, where he stopped to catch his breath. He began to laugh, at first just a giggle and then full-blown laughter. Surely he looked like a crazy fool, but Aki didn't care. Oh, was that such a rush...

Jae wasn't often let out on his own. His sister was there or his parents or someone was there to accompany him. It's just how it always had been, especially after being captured by the students at the university.
But now he was free! He could go roam and do whatever he wanted to for a little while. Or, at least, until his mother came after him.
Wiggling as he made his way down a strange trail, he paused when he heard a dog barking--ears perking and heart fluttering at the initial sound. He'd been raised to like dogs, but not when they sounded like that...so when he heard thumping feet racing past him, Jae was off after the thumping, to run away from the angry-sounding dog, and to nearly run into the rear of the cat in front of him.
The crazy giggles made him blink as he slowly turned the corner, looking in at the strange bobtail curiously. Panting a bit himself, he cocked his head, then looked back towards where the dog had previously been crying and yowling at the feline. "What'd you do? He sounds angry."

Aki was bent over, hands on his knees, breathing heavily even though the giggles made it hard to breathe at all. Oh, what a rush! What a freaking rush! He grinned like a maniac, flopping down against the side of the alley, one leg bent and one straight out, tail tucked underneath him.
The voice startled him, although Aki didn't show it. Pulling his big ears back, he looked up -- calmly, almost with a lazy look about him -- and met the other boy's eye. Then he smirked at the memory. "Taunted him... Teased him... Scratched him on the nose. All for the rush, darling," he murmured, voice husky. "Best part? He'll get scolded for breaking his chain." Although, thank Bast there was a fence, else he might not've gotten away so easily. Aki didn't mention this part.
"So who're you?" He tilted his head ever so slightly, noting that the little gold cat didn't have a tail either. Was he a mix as well, or just a bobtail?

"Oh!" He exclaimed, panting and moving to sit down on his rump to catch his breath, "That's not very nice...did he do something to you?" Oh, for a rush?
"What's a rush?" He didn't know what the other male meant, but whatever it was, it sounded fun...but he didn't want to hurt a dog to get it. Again, he'd been raised to like dogs, so this was weird for him.
The male had taken on a completely different visage...which made his head tilt and his mouth open slightly in curiosity. A smile crossed his lips afterwards when he was asked who he was, his little nub of a tail flicking this way and that, "I'm Jae! I come from the Ruins, who are you? Where'd you come from?"

Aki paused, looking at the younger male. Had the dog done something to him? "Of course not... I was just looking for a little fun." As he said the word 'fun', his lips rose into a self-satisfied smirk. Surely the kid knew what fun was. A rush? "Hmm... Ever had your adrenaline pump, blood pound in your head, the on-top-of-the-world feeling? That's a rush!" He exclaimed, stuffing both hands into the pockets of his tight jeans.
"Jae, huh? Cute name. I'm Aki, of course. I'm from the Plaza, though I don't spend all my time there. My Mama and Papa live in an old bookstore there. I go back once in awhile, but..." He was a big boy, he could take care of himself. Besides...there was the fact that Kayane was there. And his brother got under his skin. "Don't matter. Whoo. Okay. So what're you doing here, so far away from home?" Green eyes twinkled slightly in amusement.
