いらっしゃいませ!お前はオレのギルドを入ったぜ。オレは色々事が説明する。
いらっしゃいませ!おまえはオレのギルドをはいったぜ。オレはいろいろことがせつめいする。
Welcome! You've entered my guild. I'll explain various things.

1. Do you just see a bunch of boxes where the Japanese text should be? Handle it yourself - there are plenty of explanations you can find through Google. If you're using Windows, look into the "language tools" and the "IME pad".

2. Just because you can say "kawaii" and "arigatou", it doesn't mean you're anywhere near being able to speak Japanese. If you aren't serious about Japanese, please leave. It's fine if you're a beginner - everyone starts as one - but don't be a weeaboo.

3. Don't post your art here, don't roleplay, don't ask for lessons... There are other guilds for that. Here's a good guild for anime/manga art: http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/?guild_id=1876
This isn't a Japanese culture club - it's a guild for practising/conversating in the Japanese language.

4. You can talk about anything you want as long as it's in Japanese. Music, anime, Japan itself, how your day was... This is the only exception to rule #3 - it's acceptable if it's in Japanese.

5. Read the HOW TO USE THIS SECTION topic in each section before posting in them.

6. I'm not even at the lowest level of Japanese proficiency yet, so I might make mistakes - feel free to correct them. I'm here to practise, just like you should be.

  • What's your name in Japanese? It's the same as it is in English, you weeaboo! There'd just be some small differences in pronunciation and it would be written a little differently. Give yourself a Japanese introduction in the beginners' section, but don't waltz around saying "My Japanese name is Danieru-san."

  • What kanji will you use for your name? There's a lot more to kanji names than just picking some at random. Quit trying to BE Japanese and just use katakana like a normal person. I like Japan, but I'm white, not Japanese - that's just how it is.

  • What got you into Japanese? Talking about Japan in English isn't going to help any of us improve our Japanese skills!

  • Favourite anime/manga? I like anime and manga as much as the next guy, but this isn't the place for that.

  • I want to learn Japanese! Great. Now all you have to do is put some effort into it. There are some links on getting started in the HOW TO USE THIS SECTION topic. I won't teach you things that others have written with better understanding.

  • I wanna go to Japan! Yer not gettin' any closer by yappin' in English.

  • Classes/books? You're here to practise/improve, not to learn the language from scratch.
