The chocolate-pelted feline kicked at a can in the middle of the park. Bah, littering... Not that he wasn't above littering, he just hated when the Twolegs did it. His lips lifted up into a half-snarl, flicking his tongue over sharp fangs for the briefest of moments before twitching an ear. Whatever. Not his problem. Littering was a sin, but it truly just wasn't his problem. He kicked the can again, hands stuffed in the pockets of his hoodie. His ears flattened back. He took a deep breath, then let it out again. Hunger... He was hungry. And he was bored. Bored and hungry weren't a great combination, in his opinion. With the barest hint of a smile, he skittered onto the sidewalk and walked among the people. Casual, but careful.

A man bent down and snapped his fingers. Roulette gave him a slow look, a careless look, a look that said, "Do I look like I need your help?" and then he rubbed against offered fingers. He took a circle around the man, carefully snatched his wallet from his back pocket, and sprinted away before the man could look around to see where he'd gotten off to. After a few paces, he slowed and pulled the wallet apart. Revealed like treasure to him were several plastic cards and a few bills. He wrinkled his nose. Nothing spectacular. Ah well. So was life. He carefully folded up the bills into his pocket and dropped the wallet. Too big to be carrying around everywhere, after all. And the bills he could use to possibly bribe for food, if needed. His stomach rumbled. He headed back onto the streets of this strange city.

It was a mission, the first real mission the female had been on in her lifetime, a simple one really. Find Faye and bring her home that had Saeriel out on the cold day, the thin fabric clinging to her form against the wind. She sighed, running a hand through her silvery white hair and gave a weak smile. Her little sister, kidnaped wandering out of the territory bounds to meet with her 'secret' lover. Clumsy, and now Faye was paying for it more then likely. The Anbu knew more about the motives of the humans more then any other territory around, but still the thought of trying to find out exactly what happened to her baby sister made the Manx mix's hackles stand up.

Silently she moved, weaving in and out of the humans legs with liquid grace, brought only upon endless hours of training and keeping every muscle relaxed enough to bend her any which way. She was beautiful, and she hated it, well that was until she needed it to get her way with her targets. Men, humans and cats alike were idiots to the femme. Sae tilted her head up, the circlet of well hammered silver and moonstone flickered in the setting sun, making it glisten like a beacon, almost the same color of her hair. What most cats didn't understand until too late was that Saeriel, though goddess like in looks had a vengeance of one too. So when dealing with her, it was best to guess how many pointy objects she was hiding in her over revealing clothing, but then... if anyone ever guessed right they would still be breathing.

---

Roulette had once had a home. He'd been a cute and cuddly kitten with anger issues, but they'd loved him anyway. They ignored the fact that he often tore up their house, pulled toilet paper from the roll and shredded it, and destroyed one entire end of their favorite couch. Instead, they placed a collar around his neck and cuddled him close at night -- not that he resented them, or anything. He just got tired of playing babysitter when the kid was born. Babies were...horribly loud and rather disgusting pink blobs that needed fed every few hours. As an adult male tom, he hardly liked listening to it shriek for the woman. He couldn't imagine anyone who would like that, to be honest.

So, around Christmastime, after he was adorned with a 'jolly' faux velvet and bells type of collar, he managed to slip out the door when the man wasn't looking. The baby had been shrieking all day and his poor ears just couldn't take anymore. They'd made him moody and unstable. As soon as he'd hit the icy air, he knew he wasn't going back. Being a loner... It was nice. He didn't need anyone. They didn't need him. He liked it that way.

Slipping out of his reverie, Roulette paused to watch as a silver spotty cat without some of her tail slipped back and forth between human legs. They never once stumbled or cursed her; it was as if she wasn't truly on this plane of existance. Strange, really. He shrugged. She looked like a man -- er, woman -- on a mission and as much as he'd like a friendly word with such a pretty little kitten, he'd pass. This time. Or so he thought.

---

Still floating unseen among the humans Saeriel took note of her surroundings and found something that disturbed her, wrinkled her brow and made her loose her easy footing. A cat had stolen a humans wallet, how very odd, why in the world would he want such a disgusting thing as human money? The young female wondered just before she ran head long into a pudgy man's legs. She flicked her ears to the side, her nails extending instantly preparing for the blow from the parasites foot. When she didn't get it, the female narrowed her eyes, scooting past him; she had thought he was too stupid to comprehend a clear mass against his leg, or he was too fat to really feel like he was ever not trudging through mud and bodies. Who knew, Saeriel shrugged, looking about the area to get a idea of where she was now, how far she had to go to make it to those foul creatures lair.

But then the male with the wallet filled her mind again. Had he been there, with the humans? Was he a spy, or a possible enemy? Slowly she turned, looking at him out of the corner of her eye and watching the male being. Surely he couldn't be that clever all on his own, so who were his people and should she be worried about him sabotaging her later? Putting on her best flirty smile Saeriel made her way over, well sauntering her way over better describes what the female was doing.
"hello there. Seems I haven't seen you around before." She called, her alto voice lingering with a classic purr to the end of it. Sae had worked damn hard to make her voice as alluring as her body, and now it was time to play them both.

---

Roulette would've made a good spy, to be honest. But alas, he wasn't. He wasn't anything but a stray, though he supposed that might change depending on the day. Today he was a thief. Maybe tomorrow he'd be a liar... Maybe the next day, a catnip junkie. Who knew? He sat down on the side of the road with a soft sigh, forgetting about the female in the sea of people walking the streets. Why were they out in this chilly weather, anyways? He gazed out, hair in his face, when the voice spoke to him. Beautiful with a twinge of a purr to it, he turned his head to see the girl with a pretty smile on her face... He looked at her, in awe for just a moment before grinning. "Seems you haven't. I don't stick around..." His own voice was soft, a little edgy. He stuck out a hand, carefully examining her with aqua eyes. "Roulette... What's a sassy looking girl such as yourself doing out on the streets?" His head tilted ever so slightly, curious. She was pretty enough. Unlike his plain brown pelt, hers was an attractive silver with splotches and, minus her half-a-tail, she could probably pull off cutesy real well. Hell, she could probably pull off anything real well. He smirked at the idea.

---

The femme stopped right in front of the male, lightly placing her hand is his with a smile. "Im.. Gen." Mentally Saeriel shrugged, not exactly her choice of a alter ego, but hey it worked and damn well for the character she was playing. She leaned in toward the male, as if to tell him a secret "well then Roulette, im quite pleased I managed to catch you, if only for a little while. A girl has to have fun once in awhile." Sae pulled back, locking her golden eyes with his blue, hers sparkling with some mysterious laughter. Somehow she had boosted up her charm far more then she had ever really practiced. But then you also have to consider who she had to practice with, uncle Youko (who was a complete ***** and disgusting), her sisters (which were all not nearly as good as her), or her cousin Jiji, (who ran scared though he would never admit it.) Saeriel was getting a kick off of this, and enjoying every bit of it.
... oh yes, a girl must have fun once in awhile.

----

Roulette's ears flicked backwards, laying flat for a moment at her outward behavior. He wasn't one to...attract much attention, yet here this beautiful angel was, playing into his lap like a perfect little kitten. "Gen..." He took a breath, ears relaxed once again -- he really needed to get them pierced, he'd look much better perhaps as a badass than the simpleton he was. His eyes narrowed for a brief moment, sizing her up. Either she was playing tricks, or she was just looking to get her rocks off. Perhaps both. Did that matter? He chuckled. "Mmm... Strange that we should meet then, kitten-dear." His lips curved into a wicked smile. "Should perhaps we go somewhere...private...or are you the dirty minded sort?" One brow arched curiously.

---

Saeriel bit her lip in a well practiced manner, shrugging one shoulder and blinking up at him innocently. "Whatever do you mean?" She asked, winking and sauntering off towards the thick foliage of the man made forest next to the park. Either he would follow or not, but either way she knew at least her tricks worked, and worked well considering he was the first one she had ever tried them on. 'Gen' took it slow, weaving in and out of the peoples legs, but at a easier pace then what she was going at earlier. Considering how much fun she was having she bet it wouldn't hurt to have a bit more so 'accidentally' she 'dropped' something and bent over to pick it up. Now as you can imagine the girl at least had something to look at or she wouldn't be trying this trick. The thin skirt seemed to ride up just enough to perfectly frame all of that leg quite nicely. She stood, a bit slowly, but not enough to make it look forced and looked over her shoulder to her companion with a smirk.
"im beating you there you bad boy." she purred, slipping in between two trees and waiting for him to follow.

---

Roulette's eyes were fixated on her angel's face... What deceit in those hardly-innocent eyes. Oh, so perfect... How did he get to be so lucky? Maybe he'd found a magick charm in that Twoleg's wallet. He patted his pocket. Who said stealing was bad? He grinned and followed her, his own walk a confident stride. His tail swung back and forth in an arc, his ears tilted forwards. He watched her hips sashay back and forth, intoxicating. She made a show of bending down and suddenly, he praised a god he didn't quite believe in. After so many months of being stuck with a baby and a young family, he was able to be his own cat -- and boy, did it feel good. As Gen spoke, he let a lazy grin sweep over his face, picking up the pace like a loyal dog...or perhaps a dog caught in a trap. He'd never know.

---

Perhaps he wasn't as smart as Sae was lead to belive with his last incident. She shrugged inwardly and lead him further in, away from the humans and their similar tricks. Hell half of what she knew was from observing their females. They at least didn't seem to be completely unworthy of time. Quite a bit into the vegetation she stopped, turning and giving him that smile that seemed to mingle with smirk.
"Do I get to be on top?" straight to the point, everything about Sae was about deception, but you caught on quick that she knew what she wanted and knew how to get it. She sashayed over to him, running a hand down his front, watching it before looking up into his eyes. She damn well knew her lessons. Wrapping her arm around the others back, she mumbled two words, more of a command then a request. Dominance was true to the blood, a princess that got her way, no matter the costs."Kiss me."

---

Roulette's brow raised into his hairline and he laughed, both surprised at her bold personality and pleased with it. "Do you -want- to be on top?" His eyes glittered mischieviously as she drew close and wrapped her arms around him. His hands trailed down her sides, fingers dragging through fabric to feel the heat of her skin underneath almost hungrily. "I suppose if that's what you really wanted..." He'd play her way. For now. For a little while, to please her. At her command, he touched his lips to hers -- at first chaste, gentle. Almost as if he were afraid of scaring her off. Then his lips curved into a grin. He took her mouth hungrily, greedily, tail lashing. He drug one hand up into her hair, the other slipping around to carress her side. He broke the kiss to trail his lips down her throat, nipping the skin under his teeth and then soothing it with gentle licks.

---

The femme leaned into all his movements with some skill, though still a bit new at the suddenness of it all. She laced her hands into his hair and put more force into their kiss, pressing so close to him he really didn't have anywhere to put his hands on her front freely. Saeriel leaned her head to her shoulder, exposing her neck to him with a little more cation. The submissiveness of the move made her snap out of the moment of passion and remind her of her mission. No foul ups, there was no time for foul ups. With one hand she pushed him with a tiny amount of force, not much to force him down rather tell him thats what she wanted him to do. Her hand trailed up the bottom of his shirt and to his bare chest, lightly lingering there as though enjoying the contact, but then she gave a light push with that one too, and forced her lips upon his once more.

---

He leaned against her as she pressed against him, enjoying the feel of the solid togetherness they were sharing. He was hardly a sentimental cat, but it had been a long time... He nibbled his way down her neck to her collarbone when she pushed him backwards. It startled him for a second and he pulled his ears back, but he was quick to recover. She was a pushy little thing. His lips twitched in a grin as he kissed her back, slipping his tongue between her lips to tangle with hers. He gently dropped to the ground, folding his legs in and using both hands to tug his shirt over his head to let it fall to the ground beside him. "You know whatcha want, huh, baby?"

---

A smirk formed on her lips as she leaned down and shoved him the rest of the way to the ground. "If a girl didn't know what she wanted, she would never be happy." Sae ended up straddling the male by the end of her sentence, and smiling sweetly. Her clothing remained on her body, but it didn't mean she didn't appreciate the view, she just needed to know what the hell he had wanted. The female lowered her body and rested more of her weight onto him, making their lips meet once more. Her hair flowed forward, shielding their faces from any passerby -not that there would be any this deep into the woods, but just to be sure- It was nice being this close to someone who's intentions were so clear, but she had to ruin it, and continue on what it was she was there to do. Sae ran her hand down his side and to his leg, barely touching her own before she pulled out one of the various pointed objects hidden on her person and focused it right at the center of his throat.
"Mind telling me who the hell has sent you?"

---

He let himself be shoved; it almost felt nice to let someone else be in control for once. He let out a soft purr as she straddled him, pressing against him. He felt a rush of heat, savoring the feeling. His hands reached up to her sides, running his fingers down them. As she kissed him again, he grinned up at her. Her silver hair fell down around him in waves, mingling with his own chocolate brown locks which framed his face on the ground behind his head. His heart pounded in his chest with excitement -- until she pulled something sharp and deadly from who-knew-where and placed it at his throat. Then it stopped for the briefest of moments and picked back up again. Faintly. What the hell? He swallowed, confusion blurring his gaze. "Sent me where?" His eyes narrowed and he struggled underneath of her for a moment, all traces of the beginning lust gone. "What, you like to secude and kidnap?"

---

Saeriel smiled, her eyes blank of any emotion or feeling. "I need to know who the hell your working for, and what they want with what I know. I saw you rob that dim witted being back there, so tell me now, before I get crafty." The knife drifted up and down his body as though it had a mind of its own, as though it was just looking for a finger or toe to chop off. "its really a shame that your working for someone else, because you really were a damn good kisser." Saeriel lowered her face to his once more, as though to give him one lass kiss, and if he didn't talk soon it would be.
"Just tell me Rou, if thats really your name. I only did what you would have done had I not instigated it, though I think you would be in this position here."

---

Roulette bristled, the hair on the back of his neck sharpening and sticking up as a wave of anger rushed through him. Working for someone? Who the hell did she think he was? He was his own cat; he didn't even have friends and the girls he'd slept with had been simple-minded fools...up until this "Gen" girl. And she'd really been...interesting. To say in the least. Who knew the pretty girls would be the ones who'd slit your throat faster than they'd ******** you. His lip raised up in a snort. "I work for no one." His tone was icy, but the ice was to keep any emotion from it. "You've never stolen from a Twoleg before, Gen...if that's really -your- name? They're hardly complex. He didn't even realize it!" He gave a thin laugh. "Why would I have any other motive?" He paused, looking away before looking back up at her. "If you're going to...accuse me of whatever this nonsense is, at least tell me what I -did-."

---

A bitter laugh escaped Saeriel's lips as she listened to his explanation. "You showed some sort of smarts for a cat that is so new. Why that particular human, why such a direct interest in your surroundings? Hell it looked like you were looking for someone or something, so don't give me the bullshit that you had no ulterior motive." Sae's voice had dropped in pitch to match his, just minus any sort of emotion, even the icy tone. With the hand that wasn't holding the knife she ran a finger down his cheek, simply watching, waiting for his words and wondering for the first time if maybe she had made a mistake. Don't get her wrong, she had nothing holding her back from killing him, no remorse of any sort, just simple curiosity. That was the first thing Saeriel had been warned against however, that Curiosity more often then not killed the cat.

---

"I've not been new for so long," he replied softly, almost tauntingly. "Though I've still not managed to get this hideous collar off... Seems it's stuck tight. Twolegs think they're soooo clever." He snorted and rolled his eyes, the whites showing for a moment before he sighed and relaxed back into the grass. She was still on top of him, though her very presence no longer excited him. He had the urge to n** at her finger as she trailed it down his cheek, not wanting to feel any sort of touch from her. He was too angry. And maybe a little bit hurt. "The human was a bit on the fat side, so I knew he wouldn't chase. And besides. If you looked -really- close? He had a limp. And I figured I could use the money for something. Or do you just suggest stealing your way through life, babydoll?"

---

At his words Saeriel touched her own collar, the chains rattling at her touch. Damn humans were right. Before she knew what it was she was doing Sae had dug the knife into this skin and ripped upward, ripping the cloth of the collar easily. Best to keep your weapons sharp enough that if a hair fell on it it would split in half. She shook her head again, slightly amazed at what she had done.

It was unexpected... to say the least.

Lightly she pulled the fabric away from him, making sure his hair didn't get caught in the back of it before lifting it from him and holding it uncertainly. She didn't quite know what to say... for all the accusations she had thrown at him Sae supposed that she always knew he wasn't after her... it was just, a delay.

A delay in saving her own sister, just having her own good time. Sae looked away from the other before she let her thought process travel too far, it would do no good to allow him to see the emotion in her eyes, it wouldn't do anyone good. It was Faye's vanishing that got Saeriel to be so hard... so determined and here she was just trying to avoid finding out her sister might -possibly- be dead.

---

Roulette lay there underneath her, watching her, curious and careful. He stiffened as she readied to sink the blade into his throat -- so she was a murderer, huh? No one'd ever look out here for his body, anyway. She was a smart girl... He pressed his eyes shut, but the pain never came, instead coming a ripping sound. His eyes fluttered open to see her holding that damned collar, faux red velvet and bells... He reached up, touching his bare throat, jaw dropping open just a bit. "I..." He paused, looking away and feeling the skin worn down by that collar. "Thank you, Gen..." He, also, didn't know exactly what to say to her. First she secudes him, then she threatens him with a knife, and then she frees him from that catastrophe of a jinglebell collar? Softer, "What did you think I had done?" he asked, curious.

---

It was then Saeriel really felt the most need to word her statements carefully. Not revealing too much, not going too far into detail, just enough... so that if he had information she would be able to pry it from him. "My... kid sister was kidnaped from our territory, and, I truly belive someone -or something- truly horrible got ahold of her. I've been trying to find her. I don't know what im up against, so I need to be as cautious as possible." There, straight forward without mentioning the mission being assigned to her, and her being a part of the secret kitty police, details details. He got all he would need to know from her if Something were to turn up.

Saeriel was still straddling him, but she really didn't care, couldn't even bring herself to blush, she was so worn from her own realization. She had learned nothing, and Faye was suffering for it. Some gut instinct told her to tell him though, so she would see where it went.
Everything happened for a reason.
"M... my name isn't Gin."

---

He listened, ears perking upwards at her words. Kidnapped... How old was the girl? Why would someone -do- that? He blinked his aqua eyes and frowned. "I'm sorry..." he murmured, meaning it, the ice having melted away. "Do you need help?" His head tilted ever so slightly, watching her. He didn't know how to fight, but he was a thief; he was quiet and could slink through shadows. And it wasn't like he was doing anything else...or had anything or anyone to live for. So what if he got caught in the crossfire.

Slowly, a smile spread across his lips. "My name's still Roulette, sadly. Silly humans... You can call me Rou if ya want." He offered a hand to her, as if they had just met and she hadn't just threatened him with something deadly at his throat.

---

With a smile Saeriel placed a hand lightly in his, her grip was strong but she was still a female and wouldn't get into that damned male game of "lets make her cry for mercy with a handshake" ... no Sae was more subtle, and a hell of a lot more deadly then most women. Still she felt apprehension, when it came time to formally introduce herself, for she had always felt more, safe, behind an identity.
"My name is Sae. Thats all you get for now." It was good enough considering, if he looked really hard not that many cats are born with the name Saeriel or Sae for that matter. He could still figure out who she was, but she wasn't simply handing it to him, he had to earn it, and her trust. Her family was just too high profile for its own good.
"I think... I might need the help, but I don't want to bother you, let alone put you against something I've yet to figure out. No innocents hurt period. "

A bit of a contradiction coming from the silvery female but -shrugs- life was allll about contradictions. "And by the way Rou, I still don't trust you, despite your kindness. Just so you know."

---

He never tried to squeeze her hand or overpower her. He wasn't a brute.

Sae... Pretty. Prettier than Gen. Fit her better, too, with the silver hair and the dappled fur. "That's all I wanted," he said. "Sae..." He tried the word out on his tongue. "Sexy."

At her words, Roulette lifted a brow. 'No innocents hurt, period.' Like he was innocent. He waggled his eyebrows at her, then moved to rest on his elbows. "Are you a knight or something? Following an Order of some sort? Round table ring a bell? Anything, anything?" He grinned. "Probably not. You wear no armor... But I'm sure you could kill me with one swipe of that blade... Either way, my offer still stands. I can help, if you want. Or I can get up and walk outta your life just like that. Up to you."

---

Watching him intently, quite ignoring the sexy comment she thought to herself. Weighing the pros and cons to allowing this person tag along. Of him getting hurt, of her getting hurt, of him lying to her all along or... her being alone to face this all. She realized she was holding her breath and let it out, slow, and steady like.

"just don't do anything stupid." It was a Yes, for now. If he could do something useful then... why not, two was better then one she supposed. A bit reluctantly Sae got off of the male, plopping down next to him and massaging her thighs so that they wouldn't shake as much when she stood. No being human or alike should stay in a crouched, straddling position with a knife at someone for that long, it just made the muscles clench. Her sheet of hair hid her face from him as she thought to herself, massaging out all those tense spots. It was a habit she had picked up from her mother, hiding her face. It made them feel more secure, less self conscious. Peeking through her hair she watched him, a small smile on her lips.

"If I work for anyone your not likely to find out anytime soon."

---

"Don't do anything stupid. Gotcha." He nodded, sharp. Like stupid was in his dictionary...but she probably meant reckless as well. Rou could be rather reckless, but he'd keep it in check. Just for her.

Roulette sat up and stretched, his own muscles tense from such a strange adventure. He'd nearly gotten killed. If she hadn't believed him... He shook his head a little in disbelief, running fingers through his hair before looking up at the cloudy sky. It had gotten dark, and was threatening rain. He turned back to her as he pulled his hoodie back on, warm once again.

"Don't worry. I don't care who you work for, as long as they're not hunting me." He offered her a smile and stood. Then he reached out a hand for her. "So where to first...?" he asked. "And what's your kid sister's name?"

---

"My sister, is Faye, and first and foremost... I think we need to tell her boyfriend." Saeriel had dreaded the idea of telling Hiro about what her and her family had thought happened, but it had to be done. Youko immediately thought Hiro's father had kidnaped her and left her somewhere, but mother... she looked into things, she knew something had been going on in the forest for awhile, the kidnapings, the testings, the damaged cats. They were almost certain that it all had something to do with the organization called the facility. Firmer this time Sae took the offered hand and stood, her legs barely wobbling at all.

Without much warning, or much thought on her part Saeriel took off deeper in the trees, only hoping her companion could keep up and they would be able to get there in time.
