Solo- Chase arrives
"So this thing is supposed to become my little brother or sister?" Imani asked as she rolled the D-20 across the coffee table in the living room. Imani sighed and nodded at her child.
"That's what the man said who gave it to me, and honestly, even if it didn't, I kinda like the thing," she said, picking up the die and letting the light hit it to see all the different colors that shone over the dark blue plastic.
Imani giggled. "I hope it's a little brother!" she giggled, holding her hands out to want to hold the object again. R.J. placed it there, and Imani put it back on the table. Twaddle, the rabbit/cupid hybrid, hopped up onto the table and sniffed at the thing before taking a hard swipe at it with her paw, sending the die flying down the hall. Imani giggled and patted the winged bunny on the head before hurrying over to where the die had landed.
She giggled as she picked it up. "I'mma gonna call you Chase, cause I gotta chase after you all the time!" she said, looking up at R.J. for approval. R.J. laughed and nodded. Chase would be a fine name.
A few days later, at night actually, R.J. was awoken by a tugging on her blanket. She sat up and rubbed her eyes, not really paying attention.
"Whatchawant 'Mani?" she yawned. There was no sound for a moment, then a shuffling of feet.
"Not Mani..." a soft boyish voice stated. At that R.J. was quick to turn on the light to see that it was not indeed Imani, but a small, odd looking boy.
"And then who are you?" she asked without thinking. At that the boy climbed up onto the bed and opened his hand to show her the now gray die. Even the numbers were gone. He then looked up at her and smiled.
"Chase," was his answer, before yawning a bit and falling asleep against her.

Guardian Journal 1
Okay, R.J. here doing another one of those 'this is how my kid is doing' log...things. I don't mind really. I've been getting used to it.
Chase has been doing well. I thought having Imani was tiring enough, but with mister imagination I should be run more ragged then I am. The weird thing is that I'm not. Imani and he sort of just bounce off each other and use up all their energy. I don't have to run them down to behave. They know what's okay and what's not okay, and I am glad for that.
Chase, as of right now, hates to be set in front of the TV. He finds the shows boring and would much rather act out something on his own. He likes movies though because he can watch it and be done instead of being needed to remember to watch whatever it was every week. I kind of like that and hope he keeps up with it.
He hasn't met many people yet due to the fact that he's a toddler and I am super busy trying to make money to feed him. I hope he or Imani grows soon so they can handle a bit more on their own, though I think Imani might become depressed again if her little brother gets bigger before she does...

Solo- A long time ago B-efore things got weirdIf there was one thing Chase hated to do, it was sit still. Therefor any attempt to get him to sit down and learn the alphabet was nearly impossible to do. R.J. tried making a game out of it, she tried rewarding him if he attempted to sit and listen. She tried EVERYTHING, but nothing could get him to pay attention. "You need to learn your alphabet Chase," she'd always say to him, and everytime she'd get the same reply back. "I'll do it later. I'm busy" But today R.J. had had enough. She plucked Chase up while he was in the middle of playing and placed him in front of her laptop. "Why'd you do that? I was about to beat the bad guy!" he whined ever so slightly. R.J. said nothing, just casting him a glare when he tried to sneak away. After a few moments, she opened up a site, and then after a few clicks of her mouse... This started playing. Chase demanded that it be played over and over again until he knew every word. It was so catchy! After R.J. wouldn't let him play it over anymore, all he did was sing the song over and over again as he amused himself and drew the letters over and over again. Now if she could only find a way to teach him numbers...

Growth Prompt:
Chase seems to be an energetic, never-sits-down-unless-he-has-to type of kid. What happens when he gets so sick he doesn't feel like going outside? When he doesn't have the energy to go be the crazy kid he usually is? Does he grow crazy? Does he sleep it off? Does he create some sort of game? Tell me!
