I HATE being called emo......I know there are a lot of people that like to judge and size people up based on their appearance...which shows a lot of people are very ignorant, I myself am not emo I just like to listen to metal and granted I do wear dark clothing a lot (mostly black) but that doesn't make me emo o_o I believe their really shouldn't be any labels for what and how people are....especially based on what kind of music they like to listen to and the way they dress basically what i'm saying is I am who I am...i'm just plainly me nothing to it, and when some retard has the nerve and gall to call me emo it just really REALLY gets me mad and I can't help but scream at them and defend against it....I don't know if any of you go through the same thing or whatever but I just wish I could put a stop to this because it is very ignorant and upsetting, besides I don't even like emo music

Funny thing about labels is a lot of people like being labeled. A huge part of the emo crowd (for example) take an odd sort of pride in being identified as "emo". For a lot of people cliques and labels provide a combination of identity and acceptance, since really individual people often have a hard time gaining peer acceptance.
It sucks for those of us who don't fit the bill and get labeled anyway, but this is just the way things are. confused

I agree.....and that is just terrible and sad....lol this might sound stupid but i'm grateful that someone replied to this lol I don't know why but for some reason I was worried either I was gonna get 0 replies or worse one of the guild leaders will just delete it or something lol XD sweatdrop but yeah your right it is weird with how some people love labels and identities *sigh* I guess I can understand being accepted but still

After high school no one cares about labels and no one bothers with it, unless they are still too childish to realize its too immature.
But I never saw the big deal, let people think what they want, how does it matter?

I used to know a guy who said he was gonna make a metal band called The Unstoppable Beard.
