When there is empty void that needs to fulfill
When there is loneliness that needs companion
When there is secret crush that needs to confess...

⊹⊱⋛♥PSYCHE♥⋚⊰⊹

There it was. Learania, the country of self-righteous and home of the FEF guild, Watch, and others inhabited it. The cold and harsh winter was beginning to swift away, making room for spring to bloom upon the land. The birds were singing in their merry way. Animals who slumbered through the cold were beginning to wake up. The atmosphere of this wondrous land was brightening up for the new season.

There in the heart of Learania lied the capital, Eyris. The sun peaked over the mountain behind the castle, casting its rays to wake the citizens of Eyris. People who were awake worked their ways to start their everyday lives. The sellers and traders were setting their booths to sell their products in the marketplace. The guards and law officers were patrolling the areas, keeping the peace in order. The waitresses and cooks in the Hostess Club and Duke's Head were preparing the meals and settings for customers to arrive. Learania was in peace.

But up above the mountain reign, where the city was far but viewable, there stood a lone figure at the top. Standing over the cliffs, the figure looked at the beloved Eyris.

"So this is Eyris..." The figure spoke. "Well, it's time for me to reign over..... WITH LOVE!!"

User ImageThe figure gave a twirl to reveal it was a girl with white wings. Her pink dress gave a glittery shine from the golden sun's light that was cast upon it. Her hair fluttered a bit from her twirl. Her bow on her back gave a soft twinkle noise. As she stopped her twirling, the girl opened her pink eyes to look at Eyris again.

This was it. This was her (first*) time to spread the love to the people. She would not fail her mission.

Earlier when she was in training, she promised her friend Fefga that she would spread the love in Learania once she became an official cupid. She didn't expect her training to take decades to complete. But now that she became an official cupid, it was time to spread the love.

"Fefga, you've better appreciate my work!" The cupid shouted over the horizon and lifted her fist to her chest. "I didn't come to Learania just to keep my promise and do my work. I'm also doing this for my dear Eros."

Suddenly her determined face changed to something more blissful. She cupped her cheeks as she closed her eyes and blushed furiously. Oh, her Commander Eros. How she loved him dearly. If it wasn't for him to help her become what she was today, she would have ended up as some fat, ugly guy's guardian angel. Oh, how dreadful of a thought was that. Not to mention, how boring too! Watching the same person everyday 24/7 with no trouble, no adventures, and no excitement was BORING! Really, how did these guardian angels do it?

"Oh, my dear Eros..." The cupid cooed blissfully. "With your loving guidance and the promise I've made to Fefga, I will do my best to spread the love under our Goddess' name."

The cupid placed her fist on her hip while she raised her other fist in the air. Full of determination, she shouted boastfully to the whole land. "Hear that, people of Learania! I'm coming to get you and make you fall in love! Starting with Eyris! I will mend the hearts that are broken! I will drive the loneliness away! I will make everyone have their romance! Watch out, 'cause Psyche is coming!"

Feeling all pumped with determination and ready to do her job, Psyche reached to her waist to get the Couple Scroll... Only to find that her waist bared empty.

"Huh?" Psyche said confusingly. She looked at her waist to find that the scroll was gone.

"Oh, no!" She cried frantically as she tried to find the scroll. It was not around her waist. It was not in her quiver. It was not even on the ground.

"Oh, no! I've lost it!" She cried as she let streams of tears fall on her cheeks. "My Eros will be upset with me for losing the scroll. And Fefga! Oh, she will be upset if I don't keep my promise!"

What to do? What to do?! She couldn't disappoint her friend and the man of her love. She had to do something! But how?

"I know!" Psyche shouted with a new boost of determination. "I'll make every couple I see fall in love!"

Oh, Psyche. Seeing random people together does not categorized as couple.

STOP! ... IN THE NAME OF LOVE!

User Image Okay people, listen up! This is Psyche! (That's right! SKY-KI!) There are some ground rules that you need to know before making your post!

ONE! -lifting her index finger up- This is a mini-event! Therefore, everyone is invited! I DON'T CARE IF YOU'RE SINGLE OR HAVE A SIGNIFICANT OTHER THAT YOU LOVE! YOU'RE STILL INVITED!

TWO! -lifting her middle finger along with her index finger- Like Fefga, I am a spirit. This means you can't see, hear, smell, or sense me unless I want you to! So don't even think about interacting with me while I'm doing my job!

THREE! -lifting her ring finger with the other two fingers- My love arrows are 100% auto-hitting! This means you cannot evade or dodge my arrow if I'm shooting at you! It is my job to make you fall in love. And once hit, the first person you see will be the person you will fall in love. AND I DON'T CARE IF YOU FALL IN LOVE WITH SOMEONE WHO IS THE SAME GENDER AS YOU!! 838 I'm still going to make you fall in love! So there's no way you can dodge my arrow! ... Unless some meanie gets in my arrow's path. >.<

FOUR! -lifting her pinky with the three fingers- Once being hit with my love arrow, there's no escape from the love spell! That's right! Whatever "cure" or "spell" you try to help my fellow vic- I mean customers, your attempt is useless. My love spell is immune to whatever you use to try to break it! But don't worry, it's not permanent. My love spell is temporary, so spread the LOVE! (In other word, think of it as Valentine!Vaida.)

So now that we covered the ground rules, let me spread the love and make you fall in love!!

Eeeek! How exciting! >w<

User ImageDietrich yawwwned, trudging down the cobbled street between the castle and the market. His tummy was grumbly for breakfast, and Grandmother had put him on a healthy diet. He heaved a heavy sigh and swung his head back, lazily staring at the morning sky. His heavy boots thumped against the stone with each step, his scarf twitching in the occasional breeze.

He also smelled like crap, since the Sergeant had him training all day yesterday, plus what he got for mouthing off, plus what he got for being lazy, plus what he got for having a terrifying relative on crew... and he hadn't bathed since then. There was dirt caked under his fingernails from push-ups in the mud, and he hadn't taken off his leather armor or axe after this morning's obstacle run before going out to scrounge for something better than the plaster-flavored grits Guard trainees were served in the mornings.

All in all, he wanted to go collapse back in bed, or possibly-- and this was quite a statement for the perpetually filthy Isaacian-- a tub, but he suspected there would be no such luck.

He really just wanted an egg and soldiers. That's all.

While reflecting on all this, eyes on the sky, he found himself colliding, rather painfully, with a less-than-amused catgirl.
PostPosted: Tue Feb 16, 2010 3:59 pm

User ImageLethe had been rather bored the past couple of months. She still refused to work at that hostess café with Lyre and as for other jobs, she picked up miscellaneous missions whenever she could. So the cat had some cash flow just not very much. At times she pondered about joining the Guard, but she would be the only laguz among the ranks. Last thing she wanted was allied beorc foot soldiers taunting her. Chances are clawing their faces off would get her suspended or worse.

The Gallian warrior walked along the cobblestone street wearing the usual brown hooded cloak. This time it belonged to her. With the money she earned, the first thing she bought happened to be a new cloak. No more borrowing her twin’s mantle. No more listening to Lyre complaining about it missing. Although the younger sister still believed Lethe raided her closet.

For a brief moment she paused to get a breath of fresh air. Her tail gently swung side to side under the cloth. Suddenly a body crashed into her. “Watch where you’re going, human,” she hissed deeply as she stumbled. The force of the collision flung her hood back. Finally catching her balance, Lethe fiercely glared with her amethyst-colored eyes at who knocked into her.

Wait, she recognized this hu--err… beorc. “Dietrich,” she growled before taking sudden whiff. “Ugh!” Quickly she clasped her hands over her sensitive nose. Sounding nasally the ticked off cat asked, “when was the last time you bathed?” Obviously by his stench the answer wouldn’t be recent.

User ImageAh finally! The dreaded snow melted away and the sun warmed the city. Winter became a thing of the past. The naga could at last leave the Hostess Club without the risk of freezing to death also without wearing layers upon layers of clothing. Being so bundled up frustrated her.

Aruna stretched her body before leaving her room. Today she wore a new outfit. One that was crimson red, jet black, golden yellow, and milky white. It had long elegant sleeves, something that was not a norm. The weather may be warmer, but it still wasn’t 100% pleasant yet.

How she got this ensemble happened to be a somewhat interesting story. Before the hostess came to Learania, she traveled with a doctor in Estarcia. This doctor had many patients, but the only one Aruna kept contact with after treatment was a talented seamstress in Respia. Instead of gold for the medicine, she asked for clothes. A selfish act, yes, but the price in gold would have been over the woman’s budget and she needed that medication. The fashion savvy nagini felt the agreement benefited both parties. She got gorgeous garments while the seamstress got cured of her illness. After a couple months of working at the Hostess Club, Aruna sent a message out to the woman requesting a dress which she could wear in the springtime. Along with the letter she forwarded enough gold to buy fabrics and other supplies. A reply came back saying the outfit would be finished by the first of the year and would be mailed right away. Unfortunately trouble in Estarcia caused a delay. It wasn’t until weeks following the dilemma that a package finally appeared at the club.

Once she added a white opal pendant and her usual pearl headpiece, Aruna began exiting the building. On this rare day, she didn’t have to work. The snake woman could enjoy the outdoors. Her first act with her newly acquired freedom: window shopping~ Perhaps she could find a nice gift for Ganon while she browsed the stores.

And Roy was wandering about again on the streets of Eyris. Where would he go today? To the Hostess Club to see his mother (and perhaps Lalum too), or go hang out with his Uncles, or go see if Mel or Lilina were free, or maybe even go to the Secret Shop and check out some of Leena's latest wares? He was pretty much bored, and almost anything sounded like a half-way decent idea.

He adjusted his traveler's cloak a little bit and just kept walking. Perhaps he would try something new today. Going to the same places every single day was a little routine. He wanted to do something besides the usual stuff, go somewhere besides the usual places. But where?

And so, until the redhead could decide on a place, he just continued to wander down the streets, lost in his own thoughts.

((Meh...rather short. : ))

[ X ][ O ]Blossom[ O ][ X ]

It was a rather nice day, all in all. The weather was nice, mildly warm with a slight breeze, and it was quite comfortable to be out and about in. Blossom brushed her hands over the front of her new blouse with a bright smile, half-skipping, half-walking down the sidewalk. Her new boots tapped on the concrete, hard, leathery soles providing a good cushion for the soles of her feet against the pavement.

She folded her arms quietly behind her back, smiling as she continued along. Going to get something to eat sounded like a really good idea right now. Maybe some soup, or a san--

She paused. Was that... That was Lethe, right? And the boy next to her looked vaguely familiar, but he smelled like a dumpster, so Blossom wrinkled her nose at that. Goddess, does that boy ever wash his hair?

She smiled at them, though. If she stood upwind, then she couldn't smell him nearly as much. Blossom moved around them in this manner, pausing with her hands going to her hips. "Hi, you two," she chirped, quite cheerfully. Yes, from here, she couldn't smell Dietrich's body odor quite as much. Good. Good...

((Well, let's see how many of them I can work with...))

One! >> Rei was bored. He was very, very bored. He'd already told Lugh about how Learania worked, and gone into great detail on his own exploits. He'd given the twins some attention, though they almost gave him a headache for it. And he'd gotten farther than he'd have expected in his various reading materials. Frankly, he had nothing to do. And it was getting warmer. So, Rei was slightly more inclined to venture through the busy city streets, what with the outside world being a little more hospitable and all. And there he found himself, absentmindedly wandering the streets. Maybe he'd come across some unassuming magical relic in some antique shop, or maybe he'd see yet another familiar face.

Or maybe he wouldn't find anything and have gotten nothing but a little fresh air that could have come from opening a window. The Druid was really, really hoping for one of the first two.

Two! >> Arashe, likewise, was rather bored. But, he had far less of a busy schedule. The Ranger had covered the night shift with the Hostess Club, and he simply couldn't fall asleep and rest through the day. Maybe the noise of the occasional drunkard and Ganon's music was still keeping him awake. Still, he felt wide awake, though he doubted he should have been.

So, his energy was spent doing other things! For one, Arashe found his way to one of the more renowned, skillful blacksmiths, and spent quite the hour discussing various issues with bows when more than one came into play. It was such a problem for the Ranger that he'd even given the man a small payment to try and develop some way to make a bow portable, while still being usable. And if the man couldn't come up with anything, he'd get his money back, simple as that.

Maybe it was the prospect of being able to carry around multiple bows at once, without having restricted movements, that was keeping him awake. Anticipation for something new, maybe. The man had then made his way to the Guard barracks, which were, sadly, closed. Maybe it was too early. Or maybe he just couldn't see the Captain of the Guard for one reason or another. They might be a late sleeper, or something. He'd have to check back later.

Arashe was still without much of anything to occupy his time. He could have gone to the Hostess Club, and spent some time there, but then he'd likely end up working even more, which could be very, very bad for his nerves, and his sleep schedule (which was off-balance anyway), and his beauty sleep, and who knows what else. He got a bad feeling just from thinking about dropping in. So, there he was, wandering the streets of the more upper class part of Eyris, almost anticipating the arrival of some new matter to occupy the day's time...

Three! >> The postwriter seems to have forgotten about poor Sephas for the longest time! This should be fixed.

Sephas, like a few others, was absolutely elated in the rising temperatures. Spending his entire life in a desert made snowy winters quite difficult to adjust to, after all. So, he ended up spending most of his time curled up by a fire, reading a good book. He'd read all sorts of things, from novels to plays to even a few educational pieces! A book on how weapons were made, for one. The typical weapon would be quite able to injure him, after all, so he preferred to be prepared. Plus, with as long as he'd be alive, he had no idea if he could end up being a blacksmith, or a swordsman, or anything else, down the line.

But, it was getting warmer! He could finally leave his room and be comfortable outside! Of course, he, like so many others in the city, took to wandering the streets. Sephas, however, ended up just taking up space on a small bench, a short distance from the main plaza. In his hands was a simple tome, an Earth-elemental tome, to be precise. He didn't want the winter to make him forget everything he'd learned about the branch of anima, after all.

And that makes three! When time is more on my side, it may very well become more! >3

Isadora made a right turn at the corner of the cobbled street to continue her patrol duty. Although this was usually the Watch's duties to perform when serving peace to the city, the paladin had no problem doing it. It helped her remembered her duty as a knight and why she wanted to become a knight. After all, there was no noble lady for her to protect and the work of the crew was becoming less burden to her so recently.

As the paladin continued strolling down with Tuomas, she began to wonder how Renault was doing. After going to Estarcian to help, she had less time to spend with Renault. Could the Saint be busy helping those in need or working with the Church? Maybe if she would find him in the church after her patrol duty. Besides, she rarely got the chance to share their romantic relationship with each other. That was if she was able to find the specific church Renault was working after patrolling.

User Image"Finally!" Rajin shouted in the air as he walked out the door of the Boar's Head. After waiting months for the old geezer to come, the auditor had arrived and made arrangement with him. With a bit of information about the artifact and a bit of negotiation, the tiger was now able to perform his favorite job: treasure hunting.

So long how he ached to go into new places. So anxious to get into the adventure and exciting. So satisfied that he was about to get 12 grand to recover the artifact the auditor was seeking. With the map tucked nicely into his pocket, Rajin headed forth to the Duke's Head to retrieve his stuff.

Although he would miss Helen again once he was going to depart, he was mostly happy of not going to see that old man Tibarn. He had lost counts of how many times that hawk had ruffled his fur. If Helen didn't had her smelly broom with her, he would sure have another round with Tibarn in a brawl fight. Damn, the tiger was not good at keeping his temper well.

As he strolled down the street happily, some of the beorc gave him curious or bewilder looks. Never had they seen a tiger laguz before. And usually, Rajin would normally wear his cloak to keep his appearance from the crowd. However, the weather was starting to warm up and he didn't have a lighter cloak to wear. Plus, he didn't care about what those people were thinking. As long as he had somewhere to go, what to get, and get away from Tibarn, Rajin was very pleased like a grinning cat with a mouse hanging from its lips.

When there is empty void that needs to fulfill

When there is secret crush that needs to confess...

⊹⊱⋛♥PSYCHE♥⋚⊰⊹

User ImageAfter shooting another love arrow to the lovely couple she spotted (which apparently was a flat-chested, bearded lady and a fat lady), the cupid trounced down the street of Eyris, humming merrily. The citizens of Eyris did not see the odd winged-girl skipping down the street. In fact, they did not even hear her for she was a spirit just like the spirit of the manor not far from Eyris, Fefga.

Oh how lovely it was to see couples fell in love. And as the official cupid, it was her job to make them fall in love. Well... Not really making them fall in love. She just gave them a nudge of blossoming the love.

Psyche stopped her skipping in the middle of the street and looked around. Okay, which next couple needed her help to get romance? She saw an old man and a child nearby. Would that be love? Ew! No! Too disgusting! Not to mention, *****! That was a no-no for her.

How about that cat and the dog? ... Cute, but it would be inappropriate for little children to see if two critters screwing around. So no. She would have to pass on that.

As the cupid looked around for more couples, a horrendous odor came to her nose. Psyche let out a girly scream of disgust as she let go of her bow and clasped her hands onto her nose. What was that dreadful smell? It smelled like something rotted in the swamps. The cupid spun around to see who was the culprit of that terrible smell.

It wasn't from the fish stock. It smelled like dead fish, but not too strong to bring such an odor. Was it the doggy doodoo nearby the dog? ... No. It was too small to carry out that disgusting scent. Then where did it come from?

Suddenly, she heard a cry of disgust. Psyche turned around to hear the poor victim questioned the culprit. So it was that man who smelled horrrid. Ew! How disgusting? She had to agree with that cloaked figure. When was the last time he bathed? It was no wonder he won't be able to get women nearby him with that stinky odor...

...

EGAH! A cry of help for love! That sticky man needed her help to get love!

"Don't worry, Mr. Stinky Man!" Psyche shouted at the man as she picked up her bow. It was too bad that man couldn't hear her shout. "I'll make sure you will have love today!"

But who would fall in love with him? Maybe the cloaked figure. Of course, she had no idea what gender that person was. And it couldn't be random people. She was unsure if the person would see that poor fellow and fell in love.

Suddenly, a girl came up to the group. Oh, what joy! It seemed that luck was on her side. Oh she would be the perfect candidate to help that poor man out.

Psyche drew her weapon from the quiver, pulled the string, and shot. A jet of pink shot from her bow as it headed toward tawny-brown haired girl, followed with miniature sprinkles of hearts.

"Alright!" Psyche cried excitely as she pumped her fist in the air. Her mission to help Mr. Stinky Man was accomplished. Now to find more couple. The cupid turned around and skipped merrily down the street.

Unfortunately, the cupid didn't realized that she didn't shoot not one, but two arrows toward the group. The arrows sang merrily as it flew through the air, singing as if a harp was playing. As the arrows went, one of the arrows shot the cloaked figure from behind. The other went straight to the girl's heart.

Poor Dietrich.... Not only did you have to deal with one, but you have another to deal with.

User Image"Lethe! Sorry," Dietrich said hurriedly as he stumbled back a little, and reached up to scratch his neck in response to her exclamation. "Erf... four or five days," he admitted. "An' Sarge won't stop ridin' my a**, so... yeah. Whatever, though, it's cool. It's weird, once you hit like the... week an' a half point, stops smellin' so bad, kinda like evens out or somethin'. Anyway, what's goin' on, you wanna get breakfast or somethin'?" he asked, almost hopefully. Some company that wasn't angry and shouting at him might be nice-- though in that case, Lethe wasn't exactly the best choice.

And then a savior arrived to cut the tension! "Oh, hey, Blossom. You wanna join us for breakfast? Can't do gruel again. I just can't," he sighed, shaking his head and hoping Blossom knew what he meant. "It's like eating paste."

The blue haired Farina strutted into town, determined to make a difference or cause some sort of tomfoolery for the day. She did not have a Valentine, and probably wouldn't be getting one. But she would offer her services to be a match maker, for a little bit of gold of course!

And so, she innocently walked through the streets looking at the valentine's festivities about and sneaking up on couples.

...Injured with pain and sadness, the you that cannot be healed

[ X ][ O ]Blossom[ O ][ X ]

Blossom had arrived in time to hear Dietrich's explanation of his smell. It made sense, at least. She couldn't help but frown just slightly, though; Chickenwire and Clang, during their more-insistent training sessions, had driven her quite harshly, but she couldn't ever recall doing so much of it that she couldn't take a shower for four days straight. Either Dietrich's 'Sarge' was a serious jerk, or he was too busy spending his remaining hours asleep to worry about personal hygiene... it was a bit pitiable either way, really. The guy smelled as if he had decided to take a nice, long soak in a manure patch. Doesn't look like it, at least, just... really, really sweaty and dusty.

She smiled at the man. She didn't know him very well, nor Lethe, but they were both nice enough (if the former wasn't kind of stupidly plain-spoken and coarse and the latter wasn't kind of unnecessarily hostile sometimes) and the idea sounded like a good one.

Blossom started to gather her thoughts for a response, then froze for a few long seconds. There had been a very abrupt feeling in her chest, as if something had stabbed deeply into her heart. It should have hurt, really, to have something pierce such a vital organ, but instead of pain, a very comforting warmth washed over her, all the way to the arches of her feet until she could have sworn she was simply floating. The feeling dissipated after a few more seconds, unfortunately, but then...

The Hero blinked once, looking again at Dietrich. He had... mentioned getting breakfast, right? Her cheeks flushed bright red, and it was only through the harsh mental reminder of he was still looking at you, stop it! that got her to force her expression back to a normal peach color. Blossom ran one hand through her bangs, and her smile was much more energetic than before as she reached over and took Dietrich's hand. It was kind of sweaty, but she didn't mind. The smell wasn't that bad, either. Why, when she had been marching in Elibe, hadn't some of them smelled so much worse? And this was easily fixable, yes, indeed!

"Breakfast sounds like a great idea," she responded emphatically, voice warm and... grateful, perhaps? "But you really don't need to go anywhere to buy it. I'm a very good cook. I never told you that, did I? I should have. I could make you something real nice if you'd like." Blossom turned a little pink again and averted her gaze, her other hand moving to adjust the cowl of her scarf over her collarbone. It was certainly a good thing she'd dressed nicely that morning, if he'd seen her in something frumpier... awful alternatives, awful.

"You can borrow my shower if you'd like, too, while I'm cooking. I don't mind, really. I'd love to have your company," she added, trying not to seem too... pushy. That would be bad. Her blue-grey eyes seemed to positively sparkle. "Please?"

The tall redhead covered his mouth to hide a yawn as he trudged down the street suddenly halting as he saw a familiar back of someone’s head.

It was the chick who had set his hair on fire! Mel..... Melethia? Either way she owed him a hat and Joshua planned to collect the money that it had cost to get him a new one made.

"Hey! Hey you!" He called out as he walked towards her with an un-amused expression on his face, he'd let her off at the time since that strange fellow had spilled wine all over her. Served her right really.

Of course his "Hey you" could have applied to anyone in the relative vicinity so he wouldn't be surprised if more people then just Melethia turned to look at him.
