Eztil yawned, getting up from his nap under the tree. He loved a day well spent, and in this case, a day well spent was one where everything was running so smoothly that he could take a nap, listen to his "bird" sing, and not worry he would wake up on fire. How had he managed to fit himself in here so nicely? Oh right, everyone stupid enough to think he was a nice guy -which was most of them- was against anyone trying to make a fuss, and everyone making a fuss was being nice and quiet about it.

He made sure of that.

Slowly he stood up, stretching a little and trying to get a grip on himself. Time to put on the "aren't I a nice King" face, instead of the "why are you so easy to con?" face. That wouldn't do at all, if anyone really saw what was underneith him.

The tiger striped lioness fumbled into the pride lands, her belly was engorged...she had recently come to the revelation that she was pregnant, the issue was she didn't know who the father was. She was excited to see what popped out, just so she could figure out who was the daddy for a surprise. Then she could be out of the misery as well, this whole being fat thing, didn't really work out with her to well. She liked hunting for the most part, not having to pee every five seconds and be out of breath every ten minutes. The girl lazily moved to a rock that happened to be in the shade just for the mere fact she was already over heated.

Briseis peered around lazily to see the red leopardess that Eztil had made captive, she had saw Agen move towards the den. Probably to just relax, nothing really went on now a days, their were no real ceremonies...when she gave birth, it would be the first time since Njanon wasn't here that their would be a birth. She wondered what her cubs life would be like growing up here under Eztil...maybe she could plot them to over take him. Wouldn't that just be irony?

The female smirked at the thought before day dreaming about better things...a good hunk of meat would be nice.

And suddenly Eztil had this feeling that his day had been utterly ruined when he laid eyes on Briseis. Pregnant? She was pregnant? How on earth had... when had... with who exactly had that happened with!? And frankly, why was he so annoyed about the whole thing? He couldn't stand her. She was a pain in the a** and kept him on his toes... and from doing the many things he wanted to do. But he was pissed. Very pissed.

Still, he hid it well, stuffing down that irritation and turning to face her, "Well, well, well... looks like you've been having more fun than I judged of you." He mentioned, stepping around her carefully to get a good look, "Here I was thinking you were a virgin."

She grinned like a cheshire cat, "And here I thought you were just a suave and generous guy," she replied with as much sarcasm as she could muster. Her ears flicked forwad as she was starting to be attentive, with any close moves she was going to bolt just because she wasn't going to risk loosing her babies over the likes of him.

The female found herself slightly amused that he was sincerely pissed off, she could see it in the back of his eyes. He thought no one could read him, but she was getting pretty damned good at it. Bri was going to love bathing in the fact she had irritated him by getting pregnant. She wondered how jealous he would be about it, which amused her even more. Curiousity toyed with her... if she could manipulate him, that would be a fun game to play. He liked to think he could manipulate her, so it would be a twisting game at that. Maybe she would do so when she was not so pregnant, then it would be fair game.

"Well, honestly, if I had known you were laying down with just anyone, maybe I would have given it a try. Forgive me, but I know a smart female when I see one, and you are one of the smartest, of that I have no doubt... if only you weren't in my way." He mentioned, stuffing away that hint of jealousy and warping it, like he did all of his other emotions. He couldn't let anyone else see what happened inside of him.

If he did, he might actually screw them, and feel bad about it. Like with his sister... But no, he would have to leave that. Not think about it. Concentrate on the situation at hand. She was a smart girl, and if he could make her think that she was using him instead of the other way around... then perhaps he would finally have her where he wanted her. Not just in his den, but under his power. Besides, he did hate the idea of threatening children. And doing so to hers would be... oh so satisfying. Really. "I could almost love someone who could actually stand up to me."

Briseis was about ripe with sarcasm, she really couldn't take the male seriously...she got her eyes to get watery as she looked at him, "Reeeally, because I want you sooo bad," her tail flicked as she held back her laughter. "But in all seriousness, love is not in your vocabulary and being 'with' someone...really isn't me. Especially for the act of adultry alone, I don't really want to be decapitated."

"Sleeping with one would just be soooo booring. Plus your so monotone and indefinite, the lack of emotion would kill me. You are what I call a passion kill," she beamed again. Insulting Eztil might be one of her favorite things to do, their love, hate relationship never did amuse her but apparently a cheetah she met on her travels thought so. Briseis would be so naive to think she was using him and he was actually using her, she would never know. When she found out she would be undoubtly pissed, it would only take a lot of plotting and coning, which Eztil had the time to do which worried her the most.

"I wouldn't say you're wrong on any of those." Eztil smirked, "I suppose that's why I said almost. I know what you mean, my dear girl... one should never allow ones self to be tied down to only one person when there are so many out there who can be more exciting. And I certainly wouldn't call it adultry, since I'm not married, and unless I'm mistaken, neither are you."

"And I would never turn down one's passion until you've tried it and can complain. After all I assumed that you weren't someone that one would even touch before I was given evidence to the contrary... I didn't think your pride would allow it."

He was allowing her to be right, something just wasn't right about that..."It doesn't really matter if the King committed adultry or not would it...the King can do whatever but when the Queen strikes the harlot, off with her head." She rolled her eyes at the hypocricy of the men getting the benefit of the doubt...which in her mind was more likely. Females are smarter, therefore they should know better. Males are stupid so they cannot be crucified because they are dumb. That was her first theory and so far it was her favorite.

"I think I would have a good idea of how you are and personally I don't think you could make my bed rock," she smirked as she felt one of her unborn children kick her. She still wasn't used to that feeling and she found it mildly unpleasant. Her ears flicked forward as Eztil was attempting to be mildly charming today, and yet she was striking him down at every turn. He must have been in a good mood to talk to her today.

"Well, of course, I have no Queen." Eztil mentioned flippantly, then he stepped forward, smiling a little, "Though, if that's what you wanted... perhaps I would dub you my Queen. Of course, I wouldn't hold you to me. You wouldn't be happy, this much I know... I'm not offering out of love, but rather out of power. You could keep an eye on me. Protect all of your people's... best interests and such."

Lies, all of it, but he wanted her to himself somehow. Just for the sake of knowing he could, if anything. "Let me prove to you I can make your bed rock... and that none of your little lovers have either the experience or the skills I do."

In her head she was singing liar, liar pants on fire...but she had to come off more mature than a little cub. She had her own to worry about now, though he made it seem like it was a secure spot...she could see him going after her b*****d children. "Little lovers?" she inquired, "They were rather large if you asked me," she smiled, pleasantly.

"Did you really think your pick up line was going to work, be my queen," she mimicked in a dramatic tone. It was better if she kept him on edge, and out of her way. Plus the thought of him wanting her, and not being able to made her giggley inside. He couldn't have her without her permission, the pride would believe her on that and their was no way he could talk himself out of it, he was just going to have to try harder. And if he wanted it, boy he was going to have to work for it. "Not in a million years Eztil," she beamed again. She knew males hated not being able to get what they wanted...it just increased the flame of desire.

Eztil though, just smiled at her, tilting his head a little, "You are so proud Bri. Such a woman lost in trying to get what she wants. And I respect that, because you settle for nothing less. The offer for Queen still stands... though I would be careful how long you wait. I could always find someone else who interests me more than you... after all, chasing games bore me immensly if I lose sight of why I should bother."

He smiled, turning back towards the tree and sitting down, "You like power as much as I do, otherwise you wouldn't be staying here. You think because you believe you know who I am, you hold some power on me. I like you only because you are somewhat of a mystery... but I can only care for so long before I don't anymore. In a way, I'm glad for your... b*****d, children. I think they will give you and I something to talk about."

She didn't like the fact that he was calling her children b*****d children, she reserved that right for herself. "A mystery is only good when it remains so," she tisked at him. "Perhaps I do love and enjoy power, hypothetically speaking...but I could garuntee anyone if something was mine and it wandered something or someone would have their life's ended. Being single makes it more interesting and me less possesive, which is how I like it. Anxiety isn't becoming," she replied.

"The fact remains, I may interest you...but you don't really interest me," she half smiled, "It's a shame really, could have been an interesting duo," she beamed. "I could probably save you from the destruction that will come...but you hold everything back which is what makes you less than desirable as mate and king. Until then I bid you good evening, I am tired and wish no more of this nonsense," the lioness picked herself, almost heaving due to being so late in her pregnancy and having so many cubs...little did she know their would be eight. Briseis walked towards the den that Agen had been in to seek comfort him, he always knew how to cheer her up.

Eztil smiled a little and called after her, "The fact that you don't know how interesting I am just shows how little you know me. I know all that you are now, my dear... a little lost soul, looking for a place where she can have power, and feel powerful. She wants no attachments, she wants no one to love her... I know this much. If you believe I'm so evil... if you want to know me so badly, then perhaps you should try and ask me." He told her lying down under the tree.

He was feeling rathe satisfied now, actually, "Have a lovely day, and night, my dear. I almost hope that I lose this fight you believe I'm in. I'd like to see what you would do with me when I didn't have the upper hand on you. I wonder even what would happen if you knew my story." He chuckled a little, "Maybe you would find me more interesting than you think." He was certainly getting more interested in her.

Briseis paused for a minute after he said that she wanted no one to love her...it showed how little he knew of her, how it was what she wanted most...she had her heart broken once as an adolecent, she never wanted to feel that sort of pain again. She would distance herself for the most part, she continued walking without a word, she would let him think what she wanted. Ignorance was bliss...
