It very much is, at least Roots Reggae is. Not so much Dance Hall, Dance Hall is terrible.

I grew up with Reggae, its why my parents are into, mostly my dad.

But Metal is a pretty boring and generic genre of music, so many other kinds of music are better then it. Even though I still love Metal, I realize its pretty low on the talent scale, compositionally wise anyways.

Reggae is great music.

It's funny to see what a following Bob Marley is picking up with the Hot Topic crowd these days, though. I see people wearing Bob Marley shirts all the time who don't even know any of his songs, let alone the work of any other reggae artists (even the bigger ones like Peter Tosh or Jimmy Cliff).

I heavily disagree that Reggae is great. Heavily. But this is not about Reggae, if you want to discuss it, we have a Non-Metal Forum.
