 The one and only laboratory that created it all... Here is where all the chemicals still bubble and faint zapping sounds can be heard from excess wattage in electrical outlets... It's dark and damp here, what experiments could have gone on down here, unnoticed?
There is a large opening in the ground next to the building with stairs that lead down to a worn-out large metal door. On the door is a white metal sign that shows a red hazard symbol and has "DANGER: AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL ONLY" in bold red letters.

Kae had been running through a forest for hours. There was something she was following. It looked like a lavender-colored light. It had been fluttering about and dove into the forest, where Kae had chased it deep within the tall trees. She could hear it, they were asking for her help, they were in pain. There was bloodshed, she could feel it. The anguish and sorrow she felt was close, she knew that if she followed and fast, she'd find the answers she had been looking for. Help us. Please help us. Help us, Kae. She heard their whispers, they were all around her as she kept running, kept following the light. Where was it taking her, why was it taking her deeper into the forest, why did they need help? How could she help them? All these questions raced through her mind. Her speed was faster than a normal humans since she was human, but in fact a dark elf, or what some would call a drow. These forests were her home, her original home. This is where she felt safest.
"Please wait! Stop, were are we going? How can I help you?" she called out but the light just kept going, it keep darting deeper into the forest. It was dark now, the trees were so tall, and there were so many of them that the sun could not even be seen through the branches and leaves. Kae had stopped to catch her breath, and when she looked back up, the light was gone. "Wait! Where did you go?! Wait for me!!!" she yelled, trying to alert the light that she had stopped. "..wait.." she whispered, feeling of defeat as she had lost her the light she had chased so far. Kae looked around her, it was very dark and she no longer could tell where it was she came from, and soon couldn't tell which way she had been going. She was now lost.
"HEY! IS ANYONE OUT THERE?!" she called out, searching for an answer, hoping that anyone would find her out here in the middle of the forest. She turned around to see if there was anyone she could see. Nothing. Sighing, Kae came close to giving up until she saw a glowing essence flutter past her. "W-wait!" she exclaimed as she suddenly realized it wasn't the only light about her. There were suddenly millions of lights about her, all moving in the same direction. She began to walk in the same direction as she hopped up onto a huge log and a sudden gust of wind took her by surprise. Kae shielded her eyes from the gust, and when it subsided, she looked out to see a vast opening full of lights of green, blue, and purple hues. They fluttered about in every which direction. Kae then began to notice that some of the lights were fading, flickering, then dying out. She was confused why she saw this, as it began to spread and more of the lights began to disappear. Hundreds of the lights faded, flickered, then died off.
Kae didn't understand what was happening, what was going on, why the lights were so suddenly being snuffed out. She could feel pain, their pain. It increased a little every time a light went out. She could feel their suffering, and it tore her heart to pieces as she began to piece things together. She dropped to her knees, almost in horror, tearing well up in her eyes. "But why.."
A large light then emerged from the middle of the vast clearing, it approached Kae as the light subsided and she was standing face-to-face with a beautiful woman with long silver hair and iridescent long wings. As the woman approached smiling and tearing running down her cheeks, trees began to crack loudly and snap as they came crashing down slowly about them. It was as though the whole place was falling apart and crumbling like old shaky ruins. The woman extended a hand and helped Kae to stand. "Who are you? Why is this happening?"
"My name is Queen Maab. I am the queen of the Fae. Our world is dying due to mass destruction of our forests and because no one believes in us anymore. These things are killing us, many of us." the woman explained in a calm soft voice, "Dr. Broken, we need your help. Please."
"Why me? What can I do to help you?" Kae asked, feelings of helplessness welling up in her body.
"The angels have spoke of you and your deeds to save your world. I've seen you do so much, creating a new way to live, a new era of children to protect the human world, as well as the angelica and demonic worlds. You've done great things, I know it. This is why I've come to you. We need your help to save our world, recreate what we will soon loose if we care on without aide. Please, Dr. Broken, we need you."
"But how? I'm a scientist, not a miracle worker. I can't do anything to help you. I don't have any powers to bring your people back." Kae answered, frowning at the situation.
"I can help you save us. But we need your aide to survive. I can give you the key to saving our people. Only you can use this key. You will know what to do with it. Please, help us and we will be eternally grateful." the woman leaned in to whisper something into Kae's ear and slipped something into her hand. After she whispered a few words, the woman stepped back and began to descend backward, fading away from Kae's eyes.
"W-wait! How will this help you?! Wait!"
"You will know what to do... Our fate is in your hands..."
The woman disappeared from sight and all the lights faded out of view and a tree cracked behind her as she turned quickly to see a tree leaning over to hover over her, gaining speed as it came crashing down. Kae shielded herself out of instinct and screamed.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~!!!" Kae suddenly jolted and slid back from the desk that she had fallen asleep on, the rolling chair making a quick get away from the table as she was rolled slightly to the middle of the floor. She was breathing hard as she tried to regain her composure. "What a dream.." she whispered as she slid herself back up to the table and looked over what she had fallen asleep on. It was a map of a molecular structure which had been modified and mutated. This was her life's work but it had been scribbled upon so much that it was almost illegible. Kae sighed once more and slid the paper off the table and onto the floor angrily. "This is crap! It'll never-.." she paused, realizing she had something in her hand. She opened her hand to look down at a heart-shaped locket. A look of confusion came across her face as she stared at it curiously. She noticed that it had a latch, so she opened it up. Inside was a lock of hair and picture of someone she couldn't recognize. "Wait... This... THIS IS IT!!!" she exclaimed, jumping up excitedly and ran over to the table full of various jars, bottles, and test tubes. Kae hurriedly began to mix chemicals and write down notes on a clipboard. She was now enveloped in the idea of science, and figuring out the cure for what she knew was a real crisis.
"So it wasn't just a dream... They really do need my help... I better not let them down.."

Kae had been performing research for such a long time that she hadn't gotten any sleep. Kae in fact had fallen asleep at the table of test tubes and beakers. It look like she had been there for a while, and probably wouldn't be waking up anytime soon if left alone.
Alice pressed the door open to the laboratory slowly. She peeked inside to see her mother sleeping at the table. 'Mother is asleep in here, so we'll need to be quiet.. ' she directed her thoughts to Syth, avoiding talking while in the lab. Walking in slowly, she moved to the drafting board and inspected a few papers, looking for anything about the golden alter. Glancing to a bookcase, she made that her next point of search.

Syth didn't exactly need to worry about being quiet. Well, at least vocally. A small grin on her face as she turned to look at Alice. Moving away as her eyes glanced around at her surroundings. It did seem Kae enjoyed working until she had fallen asleep at her desk. Why? Well, suppose it was just something Kae enjoyed working at. Like how some people were like with games and whatnot.
Syth wasn't as interested as in the hunt of clues. More or less, she was actually looking for the altar. She had a feeling it had to be here, that somewhere inside this lab, in a hidden place, Dr. Broken hid it.
'Do the books mention anything about the Altar?'

Alice searched through books on the bookshelves, not really finding much past science book and research data. All of that was useless to their search. She found a book about rituals, and opened it. After flipping through some pages, she found a section on the Golden Alter. The section didn't specify where it was, but it obviously confirmed its existence in lore. 'Well, we know it exists... but still don't know where it's located..' she thought to Syth as she continued to search through things for a sign of where any clues might be that would lead them to the golden altar.

Nothing here, nothing there. Luck seemed to rather fleeting for the two, and spending a good half hour digging. Well, answers weren't coming short, and the only thing that Alice had been able to have found was a book with hardly a section on it.
Couldn't they have just made it easier?
This was beginning to try Syth's patience. Eyes scanning through the room again, before finally, she stared at Dr. Broken. Might as well try the source. Though, she wouldn't dare wake her up. Instead, she was going to try to do something. Telepathically implanting a though inside the sleeping doctor. Hoping that she had a habit of talking in her sleep. If not, things would need to be moved around.

Kae stirred in her sleep a little, adjusting herself in her seat to sleep more comfortably. She smiled a little in her sleep. ".....daemon....." she mumbled in her sleep. Sighing in a bit of relief as she continued to sleep.
Alice had been inspecting the tables when she heard her mother speak, she whipped around to see that Kae was still asleep, and then exhaled in relief that she hadn't awoken. '..daemon.. i'd probably dream of him too..' she thought to herself as she looked back to the desk to spot a picture frame with a picture of Kae and Daemon standing together smiling. Alice picked up the picture frame and smiled at it. This is something she had remembered from her childhood. Happiness. Alice had been too caught up in her memories that she hadn't noticed at first something in the background. Something.. gold. 'Syth.. come look at this..' she thought at Syth as she inspected the image closely. 'I think this is it, in the picture!'

Ah, well, that didn't seem to work as well. Not to mention she had muttered Alice's father in her sleep. Slowly moving away, not too interested in seeing anything from come from this. Though, hearing Alice speak up, she couldn't help but turn her attention towards the girl. Moving to look at the image she was shown. Noting that golden object in the background. It seemed like there was a chance that this was it.
'But where?' Syth could only say. Pondering the image of Kae and Alice's father. Just wondering why Alice was interested in her mother's relationship. It seemed odd, but perhaps, maybe she would be the way if Fiye had a husband or something.

Alice stared at it for a moment. 'Where?' she repeated in her mind, trying to figure out how to find where this was taken at. Alice then flipped over the frame and opened the back to view the back of the picture. Alice was met finally with an answer as there was something written on the back.
"Kae and Broken
November 12
Oceanside Cliff"
This was it, Alice had realized that the picture was taken at the cliff side near the ocean. 'That's it, it's at the oceanside cliff!' she thought excitedly. 'Now that we know where it is... we just need some candles.. and something to cut our hair with..' she commented as she was happy to find the location of the golden alter. Now they just needed to go there and perform the ritual. Soon they would have children of their own.

Syth couldn't help but grin. Raising her hand, and letting a knife appear in her hand. That was one problem solved. As for the other, 'We'll just have to buy some on our way there, or pick them up. It can't be too bad,' Syth wasn't certain if they had to bring special candles to the ceremony. Yet still, she moved towards the doorway. Waiting for Alice to join her, before looking over at Kae. Giggling a bit, pondering if she should even.
'Come on Alice, hurry up. Sooner we get this done, the less we have to worry about Kae waking up and finding out,'

'Great! And we'll just pick up some candles on our way there. Let's go!' she thought, grabbing Syth's hand and leaving the laboratory to go to the cliffside.
