The Gymnasium is a place to play a game of basketball or take a running lap. Or just about anything you can think of as far as physical activity. There is even a mat in which a Meta can practice to fly among other things. Here is also where one can practice their powers. And outside are three field, a football field, a track field, and a dueling field. The dueling field is for challenges and other fighting types of dueling.
And the gymnasium would not be complete without a weights room and a girls and guys locker rooms. All with changing rooms, bathrooms, and showers.
*************************************
The gymnasium is currently set up for the Meet the Parents Get Together.
There is a large table with food and refreshments as there are many tables set up to sit as some soft ambient music plays in the background to keep thing more comfortable.

Nova sat quietly at one of the tables, eyes closed and enjoying the nice music. She had picked it out herself. Nova had recently been cooped up in her office with much paperwork and cleaning. It felt like a good day, as she sipped at some juice in a cup.

Kae had just arrived with Eleana in tow. They had been a little late getting there, but she was both relieved and disappointed to look into the gymnasium full of empty, and only see one person in the room. Nova. Kae sighed and wandered over to the table to pour herself a drink. She was tired after dealing with the ordeal of her daughter and her daughter's love moving into her home and the fact that they were soon to be having kids. It had been stressing her out, enough to loose sleep over. Kae leaned against the table and drank from the cup. "So... anyone yet? I mean, it really looks like the party's really kicking!" she spoke sarcastically, the only really tone that came easiest to her. She dreaded these Meet the Parents shenanigans. It bothered her, not being the best socialite in the world, and in fact, wasn't good with people at all. As if the constant off and on fighting with her daughter wasn't proof enough of that. Kae leaned a little more, trying to become comfortable in her slouching position, just waiting for the whole thing to end so she could go back home already.

Eleana had followed Kae in, looking slightly irked, probably from being around her sister so long. She sighed as well and then sat down next to Nova, smiling at her. "Looks like we're right on time, huh?" she commented, trying to stay positive. Eleana heard Kae's sarcastic comment and glared at her for a moment. "Don't you think we could at least try to be mature about this. Let's just be nice, talk to the parents, and then you can trott along your merry way home." she snapped at Kae, obviously tired of hearing Kae gripe so much about things. It could only be assumed that Kae had already trying to talk Eleana into allowing her to skip the event but was sadly declined. She waited, crossing her arms on the table and laying her head on her arms, as if so completely bored that she might fall asleep like that.

Asu had never gone out of her way to meet the other parents of the academy, but she figured this time around she would. Perhaps strengthening the bonds of the parents would keep the academy living. She could function fine outside of it, but Deskri couldn't and dealing with a possessed, moody teenager all the time was getting old. At least here he had people he could connect with aside from just bothering Sonnet all the time. Really, that poor girl, Asu couldn't help but fear for her mental health.
Asu stepped into the room, bright blue eyes scanning the area, only noting two other parents and Nova. Well, this was awkward. As insane as she could get, she closed up the instant she had to deal with other people on an adult level. She hadn't particularly dressed up for the occasion, but then again, Asu generally liked to look good at all times. Her orange-red hair was down in the front, the longest pieces of hair reached her chest, the rest of it was tied up in a high ponytail but the hair still reached down to her shoulders. She was wearing a light green-yellow dress which faded into a darker green, purple tights, and patchwork shoes. Quite the ensemble, but it was something she wore on a regular basis.
Being as awkward about new people as she was, she simply scooted in and said nothing, instead choosing to let her eyes wander over the gym.

Sun didn't really know any of the other parents. It wasn't that she didn't want to know them, it was more that she hadn't had a chance to come to an event like this. She was terribly pleased to finally get the chance. She wanted to know the people who were raising the other kids like her own, the parents of the kids that he kids were going to be friends with and...well someday she hoped fall in love with and have their own kids with. They were young yet, but hey it didn't hurt to start thinking about that kind of thing now. She hadn't gone out of her way to get dressed up but she was dressy casual with dark wash boot cut jeans and a nice red top. She wore black heels on her feet, not too high, but high enough where she didn't feel short next to everyone else.
When she entered the gym she saw that only a few parents had arrived so far. She wasn't overly bothered by this, surely more would come as time passed. Sun broke out into a cheery smile and waved to those assembled. "Hello everyone, my name is Sun."

"Well, you tell him that if that's the fabric he wants, we're going to have to raise the price on all the entire line!"
Walter had been arguing in to his phone again. He had been ever since he had dropped off his daughter to gather eggs and play with the other children. He loved the idea of meeting the other parents. Networking used to be a work-thing for him, but if it could help out his parenting situation, he'd love to try it. It was just unfortunate that he didn't have anyone that could work a simple negotiation anymore. "Look, I know it's suppose to look nice, but it's completely impractical. That fabric is too fussy and will throw each outfit way out of the price range of our target audience. Chic and available, okay? They aren't movie stars, they're soccer moms. Get back to me when you've set him straight."
Walter quickly hung up the phone, but regretted it before he even shut it closed. They wouldn't be able to talk sense into that stupid client. He realized he raised his voice inside the gym, which carried pretty well. Yup, he just announced his troubles to the world. He quickly distracted himself by checking his attire. Dress pants, dress shoes, both black. A plum dress shirt and a lime green tie. It matched the spring theme he and his daughter coordinated, but it just didn't feel "him". He felt completely overdressed, but he couldn't help it. He hardly had any "dad" clothing to begin with.
Putting his phone away, he automatically recognized a woman he'd seen before when he had picked up Freya from the school's infirmary. He contemplated walking over to talk to her as he let out a heavy sigh and headed to the punch bowl, his hands outstretching and clenching in a bit of an exercise to calm himself down.

Nova looked up from her cup as she saw the two sisters come in, bickering to each other as always. She then smiled as she saw two more people enter. The first girl didn't seemed to be too talkative, but the second participant had gone and introduced herself to everyone. Nova stood up with a smile. "Hello there, Miss Sun. I am Nova. There is food and refreshments on the table if you'd like any." she offered, moving over to refill her cup with more juice, waiting for the man who had just walked in take his turn first, trying to be polite. Nova always seemed so optimistic to meet new people, and in fact enjoyed it a lot.

Kae sighed as she tried to put on a good face. It was not her thing to be social, she was better at staying cooped up in an underground laboratory doing experiments all day and night. That's what she was used to, the only interaction being her sister bugging her to eat something on the occasion. Kae looked about, the place was beginning to fill up. Three parents were already there for the get together. Kae just stood and watched, not really wanting to be apart of the social aspect of things, she was there only because Eleana had dragged her there. It was at time, Kae really had wished she had some alcohol to make things go by a bit quicker.

"Oh," Walter responded to Nova's gesture to allow him to refill before her. He placed a hand on his chest and bowed a bit. "Uh.. thank you." He grabbed a cup and poured some punch from the spoony-ladley-thing and turned back to Nova and Sun. "Walter Davern, it's err... it's good to meet you both." He knew he was more social than this, but something about being the only one in the room with a Y chromosome really made him worry that he wouldn't be thought of as just one of the girls as he'd like.

Asu turned her gaze to Sun, and then to Nova, flashing a friendly smile before nodding. She offered a small wave back to Sun, "I'm Asu, nice to meet you." Being so quiet and withdrawn was a betrayal to the way she behaved when in her comfort zone, and she knew that, but no matter how hard she tried to breach her outer shell in new places it never seemed to work.
After some inner debating she joined the line in front of the punch, glancing from one parent to another. She noted that Kae seemed to be rather unamused with the whole event, if not angry about it. At least everyone else seemed friendly...

Eleana smiled, it was nice to see people were actually showing up. She was probably just as excited as Nova was for this, and it would have been even better if only Kae would just participate every once in a while, but that was always a lot to ask from her. Eleana had decided against the punch for now, and walked up to Sun and Asu. "Hello there, I'm Dr. Elaena." she smiled at them, hoping that it wouldn't end up being to awkward.

Sun had smiles for everyone who looked at her, her personality seemingly matching her name. She joined the line for the punch bowl and offered her hand to shake and another bright smile to those who greeted her and were nearby. "It's nice to meet you all!" She looked at Kae who was off away from the group and gave another wave. "You as well." She had absolutely no intention of letting things be awkward.
"So tell me about yourselves!" She paused to ladle in some punch into her cup. "Oh and your kids of course." It never occurred to Sun that any of them might not want to talk about their kids right off but for her, her kids were her pride and joy and the center of her universe.

Walter smiled a bit at the question. "Well, I'm a clothing designer. You might've heard of us. D*Works. Nothing major right now, but we're climbing." He smiled a bit as he sipped from the cup. He swallowed and remembered the part about his kid. "Oh... and my daughter is Freya. She's just about the cutest bundle you're ever set eyes on." He sank a bit in to his shirt for a bit, embarrassed he started to brag of himself before he even got to mention Freya.

Aiden walked into the gymnasium and saw that there were quite a few people here already, not wanting to interrupt any conversations going on he made his way over to the refreshment table and helped himself to a few bits of food and a drink and sat at an empty table. He looked around the room and wondered how Cecil was doing outside.
