Since most of the tournaments we hosted here are either done or just held off, we have had too little battling around. Its high time we host another tournament. This tournament will be for those who tire of seeing the same old Pokemon in the gaming scene.
Tournament Format
Because I want this tournament to be associated with our battle tower (BT for short), all prizes and registration will be related as such. Regardless if you are registered in BT, I will need to you register in this thread so we can have a simple list FC's for those who are involved in this tournament. If you are not registered in BT, your registation here will count towards joining up in our with our BT. All information that is added here will be updated as soon as the tournament ends.
Preliminaries: I hope Luther doesn't mind but I am stealing his idea. twisted To move on to the main tour, each trainer must obtain 3 victories. The battles must follow the rules and clauses, and must be Singles set to either level 50 or level 100. Trainers may challenge anyone at any time as long as they obtain 3 victories form 3 different trainers. Loses do NOT count against you. Preliminaries will last until March 8 then the qualifying Trainers will proceed.
Main Event: The Main Event will be a simple Bracket style Tournament with all matches being Best 2/3. Each Round will have 1 week before each unfinished matches get cut and the rest move on.
Tournament Rules and Clauses
Battle type: 6 vs 6 Lvl 100 single battle
Sleep Clause: No more than one poke maybe asleep at a time, using rest or any other kind of self sleeping move does not apply to this rule.
Species Clause - You cannot have 2 of the same Pokemon, that means you may not use 2 Zapdos, 2 Magmortar, 2 Bidoof, etc, you may not use anything in its evolving chain either.
Example: Flygon and Vibrava may not be in your team at the same time
this does not apply to Eevee.
Self-KO Clause: Your Pokémon cannot use moves like Explosion or Self-Destruct to win if it's the only Pokémon remaining on your team. The same applies for Perish Song and Destiny Bond.
No Hax items. Examples both include King's Rock and Bright Powder.
Evasion Clause: Moves like Double Team and Minimize are banned from being used. Bright powder may also not be used.
Restricted Item Clause: You are only allowed to use 2 of any items with the exception of any of the choice items (choice scarf, spec , or band) in which you may only use 1. The no hax clause is still in effect.
OHKO Clause: One-Hit KO moves are banned, Guillotine, Horn Drill, etc.
NU/UU Tier Pokemon Only: For this tournament, we will be following smogon's tier list. All Pokemon located in smogon's Uber, OU, Limbo, and BL tier are banned. For now all the pokemon on the UU and NU are legal with the exception of the few at the bottom of the list.
