Ceros' eyes gazed and danced around from each rock to each tree. Fromm each leave to each patch of snow and back again. As he walked with the other unicron mare, Ru, who was showing him aorund these new lands. He really could not help but we so intrigued by everything around him. "Where are we now?" he asked with innocent curiosity

Rupali smiled and grinned, they were walking through yet another forest. She had been wandering with Ceros for about a week or two now and found him to be a really pleasant travel companion. He seemed to have the same love of land that she had even if it wasn't her land. So far she had taken him on a big circle around, not having gone to her teepee yet to introduce him to her parents. She had so few friends and it was a bit of a nagging fear that once she met he met her father he'd not want anything to do with little Ru, the kind mare showing him around.
She pushed the negative thoughts aside and grinned, "We're coming up on a very special Sequoia tree.. It's rumored that if you come to her diligently she'll pass on words of wisdom to you.. Of course, it's winter time now and she's hibernating.. but I figure that some day you might have need of her advice."

Ceros' eyes looked and locked onto the tree, it was magnificent and ancient and its bare branches looked cold but strong. She reached up to the sky, her thick trunk supporting it all. He gazed up at it. "She is beautiful. It almost looked like she can reach up to the moon." He laughed, complely entranced by the gainganitc tree. The trees in these lands had created such an effect on him. Beign from the desert, seeing such greenery was such a shock and wonder.
Even though Ru had shown him so much of the lands, he still sometimes felt as if he was ina dream.

Rupali always took the chance to come out and see the great tree. She, for surely such a graceful thing had to be a she, had always been a type of enchantment to Ru... She could not get over the feeling of almost raw power that seemed to ooze out of the tree's pores. She giggled a little and moved closer giving a light nuzzle to a branch that was low enough for her to reach, "You're so very right about this tree... and I think that she can reach the moon she just doesn't need to do so." It was a pleasure to see someone that enjoyed the tree as much as her.. not so much a pleasure but a relief. Her mother had thought it pretty and wandered back home and her father had all but had a heart attack at the condition his hair was in by the time they were halfway to the tree.. "This is a favorite of mine, I'm glad you like her too."

Ceros smiled and looked to his new frined. "She is quite a wonder. I truely cant beleive my eyes. Before coming here, a tree was such a rare sight for me. I had only seen two or three such trees. The rest were small, or palm trees that grew around the oasis in my desert." He smiled, big and bright. "If i had the wings, or even the claws of a mountian cat, i would scale this tree tot he heavens."

The mare canted her head and looked up at the trees with big wondering eyes, she had not been gifted with flight but instead song and healing.. She never wanted to fly, wondered if that was normal to not wish for what you could not have and then she snapped out of it for a moment, "You know.. I wonder if that's the point though.. To make a soquili wish to know her secrets.. to know the heavens intimately and to yearn just a bit of time in them before our days here are done." She blushed a bright scarlet at her own foolish fancying, "I mean.. er... " Stammering awkwardly, Ru fought to find her tongue and a topic, "No trees... ? I enjoy the beach but could hardly make a home there.. My herdmates Ignacia and Fenuk live on or near the beach almost all the time.. but that's because their manes and tails are made of blue fire and temper makes their hair burn hotter than most normal flame.. so it's safer for them to be on sand."

Ceros listneed to her, at first with a smile, but then, as she continued, his face turned to awed. AS he listned, his eyes gazed up the tree once more. And when she finished he coulndt help but nodd in a daze. "Your right, almost like...she is trying to remind us of the world. The things out there and how we shouldnt spend our lives wasting it. Becasue we only have so much time." He looked to her again with a calm look on his face, feeling like all three of them were somehow conectted now.
But for some reason the mare cut herself off and started a diffrent topic he looked back at her and gave a shy smile once she finished. "OH is that so? Manes of fire...hmmm It sounds like an old legend from my herd. About demons from hell that bore manes of fire. Though im sure your herdmates are nothing like that." He laughed

The idea that Ignacia and Fenuk could be be demons from hell had her giggling just a little bit. She didn't want to laugh at him... it was just that she had grown up around Fenuk and he was such a sweetheart... Except when his temper was up. She swished her tail back and forth lazily and then smiled up at Ceros with a bit of wide-eyed innocence.. "So you do you have an idea of what you'd like to do next? I love spending time here... but sometimes I feel greedy like someone else ought to be able to enjoy this place in total silence. "There are a few other things of major interest around here.. Streams and stuff that I was taught so I'd always know my way around..."
Her wide eyes gazed up at him, "I'll let you choose whatever suits your fancy."

Ceros coudlnt help but giggle with her. His herd was full of silly rumors and ghost starys about demons and spirits. They were mostly used to teach foals what to do and not do. He was sure Ru's family was nothing like a demon from hell. His ears twitched happily, enjoying spending a laugh with a friend, as if he was at home.
"Im not sure where i would like to go to be truthful." He admitted sheepishly. She had shown him many parts of the lands; the beach, most of the forests, even parts o the mountain range. "Are there any other such beautiful trees around? Or...caves or maybe any interesting boulders?" He ignored her question on the streams. He was not...fond of water to put it justly. He looked to her and pondered for awhile. "Back with my herd, we traveled through the desert following the star. But every winter solstice we would always return to what we called the "Rock Spirit" which was a great boulder situated in the center of the sands. We would carve names of the members of our herd who passed away or were newly born. Many bone fires and celebrations also revolved around it." He smiled remebering his last Spirit Fire festival. "Would there be anything like that in these lands?"

She relaxed a bit more and breathed in deeply, enjoying the brisk air. Spring would be coming to these parts soon and she couldn't wait for it. She loved all of the seasons, but was always ready to see the next one when it came. They had gone out and seen so much already, it was getting to the point where she was starting to reach the edge of her own knowledge... Her parent's had always encouraged travel, they knew that it was a balm to the soul to go out and see and do new things. "Well... I know that we've been to a couple of beaches but there's one around here I think that's particularly wonderful.. that is if you've a mind to go.. It's about a two day walk from here going straight through.. I usually take four days to get there because of dawdling about and such." Again she felt the familiar blush going up her cheekbones, why was it always so hard for her to talk to others? It was getting easier to talk to Ceros, but she always felt like an idiot.

Ceros smiled brighty, beaches meant sand. And sand was very, very familair to him. He eagerly nodded. "I would love that! I would feel quite at home at a beach I think." He had never traveled to one, but his father had. ANd he had told him stories. Of the soft sands that hid crabs and other shell forms. Of large rocks like stepping stones to the horizon. Now Ceros was quite excited. "We dont have to go straight there, I would love to take our time. I very much enjoy my time with you." He smiled to the pretty mare.

Rupali blushed even more and looked about a bit dazed, it always took her a minute to figure out exactly where she was needing to go. "Oh dear.. I have a good sense of direction but when I get out into the forest it usually takes me a few minutes to figure out where I need to go." Her eyes scanned the woods before she found a tree stump that was her usual signal for going to the beach, "Oh it's this way Ceros.. and on our walk I can tell you all about the Elder ceromonies that are revered in our land." As she took a hesitant step forward her ears flicked back and forth shyly, "I.. enjoy my time with you too Ceros."

Ceros beemed at her, feeling great that he had found as firned in this mare. SHe was very sweet and kind, a bit shy. But he wanted to repay her for all the trouble she was going to. But he really did not know how. "That is fine," he reassured her warmly, "Once the journey starts, all that one can do is move forward. At whatever pace they chose." He flicked his ears and smiled. As he also took his first step he adressed her offer of telling him of some ceromonies. "I would love to hear about your traditions. Im sure they are fastcinating."

With that Rupali looked up at her with her wide eyes and smiled fully up at him, "This is so exciting.. I love going out and looking at well.. everything but I typically am too slow moving for others to go with me.. I'm still too amazed at all the lovely things that I see." With a quick flick of her lions tail she started off in the correct direction, "Come on then Ceros.. We'd best make our way.. There ought to be a surprise at the beach and I think that you'll enjoy it.." Without even thinking about it Rupali grinned, "This summer we'll have to go back to the beach and have a swim the water will be so silky and warm then." Her cheeks flamed up, "Err.. I'm sorry I didn't mean to assume that you'd still be here.. I mean.. you probably have better things to do than.. Oh ..."
