Kiba tugged at his hoodie strings as he walked, keeping up the pace behind Achilles. They were headed to see his friend, Denali. Just the name made Kiba shiver in place. Denali... It sounded so gruff. He prayed that she didn't chew his head off on his request. But then again, he was afraid of most people at first glance. It was a fatal flaw of his. Too skittish...
He was a man on a mission, however. So what if his Man threw him out? If he didn't want him, Kiba would find a family who did. Under his arm he carried a folded up, bulky box. He was going to set it up in the park, with 'free to good home' written on it. Someone was going to think he was a cute little tomcat and take him home. The idea made Kiba smile.
But there was a snag in his perfect plan. He couldn't write. Neither could Achilles, which left them back to square one. But Achilles figured hey, maybe his friend Denali could help them out. Kiba crossed his fingers that that was the truth. He just wanted to curl up in a lap again...

Achilles, the Tonkinese, smiled at Kiba with a glitter in his eyes. He was on his way to taking his lovely little friend to Denali, his mother figure in this crazy life. Sure, she didn't seem like the acceptable, motherly type, but she was to him. "Oh, you will love her, Kiba! I know she'll love you! Hurry up, slowpoke, hehe." The enthusiasm in his voice was clear. He hadn't seen his good mentor in quite a while, which made him sad to think about, but at least he was going to go and see her now, and the long wait only made the actually more exciting.
He lead Kiba to the casino, trying to find his way back inside so that he might go to Denali's little hideout. Hopefully, she would be there and Achilles wouldn't feel like he was breaking an entry. That would just weigh down on his conscience. Finally, they found their way into the hideout that Denali had set up, and Achilles only knew where it was because Denali herself had taken him in when he was all alone and by himself, to play a game of cards. He did very much enjoy it. Maybe, Denali would let him play with her cards again, they were really amusing to him.

Denali had been cleaning her cards in her room. She had been thinking about a lot of things recently...the fact that she had kittens growing inside her was really bothering her. She hadn't slept with anyone in weeks, though sometimes Madness stopped by and saw her, slept in bed with her. She wasn't really sleeping when he wasn't there so she had some dark rings under her eyes and her hair was kind of a mess. She never let it show that she was upset when Madness was there. He was confused enough with out her getting emotional on him. She was having alot of issues with this damned emotion thing. She did get chances to nap alot though, but she was having the best luck with that when she was on the floor and there were others around. Sometimes she would have one of the waiters come up and just sleep in the bed next to her so she could sleep.
Denali heard something getting into the casino and walked to her door to see Achilles and another male, a very cute Exotic, coming towards her with a box. "Achillies my love. What brings you here with such a pretty male." She said as she reached out to hug Achilles. She was happy to see him, he was helping her feel better right now since Madness had left that morning. She looked at the new male and purred. "And who are you?" she asked with a smile as she looked over the two of them. She was doing a good job of hiding her weariness and anxiety at the moment, she didn't like to appear weak and the small bump that she had building at her middle was just becoming visible. She sipped the apple juice bottle she had and smiled.

Kiba listened to Achilles gush on about Denali, a grin growing on his lips. His fingers of one hand fiddled with the marker half sticking out of his hoodie pockets, a marker he had found on the ground and one he hoped would be the one to write his message. He clasped fingers around the slender object and nodded to his friend. "Haha, sorry," he squeaked out, hurrying after the Tonkinese.
He took in the sights, ducking after his friend, on their way to meet Denali. He felt his stomach tense up as the female came into view. His eyes widened, watching her with a mixture of awe as the girl took Achilles in a hug. He clenched the pen, standing nervously with a twitch of his thick tail. "Um... I'm his friend, Kiba," he breathed out, softly. "Are you Denali?" Although that was a stupid question; Achilles had hugged her, after all!

As the lady's arms wrapped around his skinny, fragile frame Achilles let out a soft purr, relishing the feeling of being liked, "Denaliii." When she happened to question him about why he had come, and with such lovely company, he couldn't help but laugh lightly and turn his slightly reserved eyes towards Kiba. When the younger of the two toms opened his mouth and spoke, introducing himself to Achilles' motherly figure, the Tonkinese couldn't help but smile at the interaction. "-and we came because we sort of need your help, Denali."
He quickly rushed to Kiba's side and bit his lip, eying the pen that the boy had with him. They brought it for Denali. Well, that is, if she even wanted to help them. Achilles had a good feeling that she would, though. She wouldn't just kick them out when they came to her for help so that Kiba could find a good loving home. Heck, if this worked out right maybe Achilles could try to find a new home as well. Maybe one where they don't judge him on first impressions, because Achilles is always a shy little skittish boy at first.

Kiba watched as Achilles let out a purr at the contact between himself and Denali -- he obviously liked her, maybe even loved her... As a mother? Kiba felt a rush of something -- akin to nerves, was it jealousy? -- as they smiled at each other. The feeling faded as quick as it came, though, but Kiba was ruffled. He turned to Achilles, holding out the pen which was lodged in his pocket, then held out the flattened box.
"I...I've got an idea, that will find me another home. You don't understand...I can't be a stray. I don't have it in me... So I came up with a plan... But..." He trailed off, looking hopeful. "Achilles and I can't write. If you could just write, like..."Free To Good Home" on the box, I could set it up in the park?"

Denali looked between the two boys and crossed her arms over her growing stomach. "Oh really? And Achilles you arnt thinking of going away too are you? Cause you'll make me very sad if you go too." She pulled him into her arms and snuggled him softly. "I can write. And i'll do it since you seem so set on leavin'. But i do think you just need a good teacher. But i am in no condition to teach ya, so i'll do as you like young Kiba. But you Achilles, i love you too much and i wont let you go so please don't think about it." she said, tears actually forming in her eyes. Damned hormones were going to be the death of her with all these stupid tears. She wanted her kits to have a big brother, and Achilles seemed like he would be an awesome big brother for her kittens, when they got here.

As Achilles listened to Denali agreeing to do as Kiba wished he couldn't help but feel completely bubbly and bright. His expression clearly showed the excitement boiling over in his gut. "Thanks Denali! This means so much to him," and not to mention Achilles. Knowing that he had such a good mommy friend made caused perpetual joy. When she told Achilles that she wouldn't let him go with Kiba and be re-homed he felt a sensation tickling him from the inside of his chest accompanied by a melting feeling all over his body. "Denali... heh, I wouldn't leave you for anything!" He rushed up to her and wrapped his arms around her, hugging her warmly, securely, but then that's when he noticed it. Her stomach was a bit bigger than when he first saw her, and he couldn't help but pull away and glance down at it curiously. After a split second of staring he looked up at her with a lost and confused expression. He felt as though he hadn't gained weight, but something else. What if it was a little extra baggage, he didn't want to seem rude if it was just fat, so he remained speechless.
He pulled back from her and turned his eyes to Kiba, trying to push aside what curiosity had been given to him because of Denali's belly. "Well, it looks like you're going home, pal." He smiled sweetly at the Exotic male, his eyes a light grey-ish blue, staring at his calmly and happily. He always had this sense of gentleness and respect about him, no matter what he did. He wandered over to his friend and took the box, dragging it over to Denali and setting it in front of her. "This is the only one we could find Ma- Denali..." He nearly called her mama, and he didn't want that to happen. What if she teased him about his fantasy of being her kid. He surely didn't want that to happen. His cheeks blushed up at the near mistake, causing him to shrug his shoulders and look down in attempts to mask his reddening cheeks.
