What is the point of attending graduation?
PostPosted: Wed Feb 10, 2010 6:50 am

1. "Inspire" is such a vuage word, so I will say "yes." =D
The more I talk to you, the more lenient I find myself becomming when I talk to other people, like in terms of polightness.
When I first came to the guild, I assumed that, if I didn't sound absolutely correct, legit, etc, nobody would care what I have to say because I am a Christian.
Therefore, I didn't even use conjunctions at first, LOLOL! I types everything slowly and looked over it to be 100% sure that nothing I said could offend anyone on planet Earth.
I was surprised to see someone so lax, swearing and all, even though the rules kind of said not to.
I had no idea that you were even a Christian for the longest time XDD!
It's odd, but I like being around people with problems, because then I can help them with their issues, and all of my issues go away in the process.
It's much better than being with people who have everything figured out and being the only confuzled one. That's what I feel like in my playwriting class XDD! It's not fun at all.

2. Well, I have to say "no" for this one, because it is impossible to stand a vase up that is already standing. If my aunt went back through HS to get her diploma, it still wouldn't inspire me to get my "s**t" together, because I already have said "s**t" together XDD!

3. Well, I didn't look forward to attending mine either, but it was great. Overall, I think it's for the memories. It rained the previous night like a mother, so the ground was all soggy, and our chairs were wet, and they sunk into the ground like it was made of quicksand. We were practically sitting on the grass in the end LOLOL! Okay, that is a hyperbole.
Anyways, my parents don't come to anything of mine. They don't come to church with me, if I'm in a performance, they won't come to watch it, if I was in sports, they probably wouldn't come watch me play. However, they came to my graduation. That's probably the only event they've attended for me, and it made me happy.
Also, the valedictorian was a good friend of mine, a real nerd. She made her speech FUNNY! It was about Star Wars. For real. She even had the music playing in the bg. I'll totally never forget that speech XDD!
When she was done, we all lifted up lightsabers and said random Star Wars quotes. And we threw confetti.
You get to throw your cap, too! Granted, you have to pick it back up, but you get to throw it! Freaking awesome!
Also, when you sing the school's song and stuff, we got in a huge circle and started singing it. But nobody knew the words. We sounded lke a bunch of dying cats, so it was pretty much the funniest thing ever! Then a random kid threw his had when he had had quite enough, se we all followed.
It doesn't matter if I thought my classmates were morons or if I, myself, had seriously considered having them mail me my diploma. Graduation was super special awesome, and I wouldn't miss it for the world.
I didn't like it because I was excited about it either. I was probably the only person that wasn't all "YAYY!" I was kinda "Yay, I guess? Not a big accomplishment."

4. Well, probably a little. I would still adore you as a friend, but it would be very dissappointing. A lot of seniors drop out of HS in their last semester, and all I can say is "WTF?" You've got like three months to go to complete twelve years of school. Without that last month, the rest has been bogus, it's kind of like throwing your life out the window. You can't really get a good job without a diploma. If you really want to quit, hang in there for at least another three months to get your diploma so you don't regret it forever. It's fine if you don't want to go to college and whatnot, college isn't for everybody. However, too many people regret not finishing HS.

Maybe this has something to do with this and maybe not, but yesterday in chapel, there was a speaker with cerebral "pulosy" or "polocy" or something like that. He had died at birth and was revived. We had deformed, talked funny, walked funny, the works. At age 14, his father dies, and soon his mother died. Every room he walked into, people would make fun of him for how he was. He wanted to commit suiside because faith had let him down. He claims that the two main traits to life are faith and stubbornness. He held on a little longer and eventually became the most popular kid in the school. When he told a pastor that he thought that he had been called to ministry, the pastor was all "No, you can't do that! Nobody would come!" because he talks all funny and all. He had also been told that he would never have children, he would never find a wife, etc.
Nowadays, he's spoken in over 9,000 churches and he has an attractive wife and four attractive children. All through stubbornness because God has his eye on the dead baby.
The moral of this story is that I think you're throwing the towel in too soon.

Anyways, yes, I would care to hear your teen angst story.

Woooo sorry that's so long! =o

1. well, a little.
2. i'm kind of self-motivated, so i already have my shxt together.
3. well, it's apart of high school. nearly a rite of passage. recognition for your hard work.
4. yeah. i'd be disappointed for you. you're so close to graduating, why not just tough it out for a few more months?

my answers are so vague in comparison to kitkat's. D;

The Story

well, basically, i don't want to graduation, and my parents are pissed.

i want to gtfo of here. bury this town and start from scratch somewhere else. my mom says thats running from my problems, and maybe i am, but that's what i want. this is my life, and i want to start living it.
my conselor is freaking out, cuz i have good grades and i've "never been like this before"
principul says i owe it to my parents, yeah, cuz i asked to go to this hell-hole school. as if i want to be here, i like it here, im one of those idiots who loves being in prison.
I don't owe them jack s**t. my mom should've been on the Pill.
why can't anyone respect my decision?D:<<
I find it stupid that i have to ask for permission to LIVE MY LIFE.

I wanna breathe! I just want to breathe.

That sounds uber frustrating, and I'm sorry about that!

I can hardly stand being around my parents either.

The choice you make is yours, and only you can choose it, so shoose wisely. =D

I wish you every bit of luck no matter which path you choose.

Also, I know it's cliche and played and all of that, but God will love you the same no matter what you choose, and so will all of us.

We're rooting for you, hon! heart

Princess Volupine

1. Do i inspire you?
2. Would seeing me 'walk' at graduation motivate you to get your s**t together and do the same?
3. What is the point of attending graduation?
4. Would you think less of me if i just dropped out right now?

1. probably not inspiring me to do well in school, but you inspire me to be as amazing as possible. (ie, you)

2. My s**t's already together. All I need to graduate now is an english credit and a civics credit. lol

3. Mhhm. What's the point of attending a wedding? It's all about being there to commemorate a special day. A symbolically significant end and begining.

4. Prolly. I honestly don't think it's too tough to get a diploma with some effort.

Damn. v.v
[[speechless]]
I don't know what to say. i really dont.
i get what you're saying about graduation, but its not enough. i don't care and i wanna put distance between me and this town as soon as i can.

EDIT: it got worse, guiz. the principul or whatever she is called me to her office and totally lectured me about graduation. what set me off was how she kept repeating "Its not about you"
UHH WHUT?
of course it is!

why can't anyone respect my decision?
PostPosted: Thu Mar 04, 2010 8:37 pm

How about this one? Me pops has never had anything to be proud of, even though there really is, there is just too much to list, and me bro has already done half the things. So two months out of school, I am going to become a member of the United States Coast Guard, and then a rescue swimmer, so I can jump out of helicopters and save lives. I am not doing it for him though, I am making use of the life I've been given. I don't give a shizznit about what he thinks, because its my life to live, not his.

It suxorz that nobody can respect your descision!

And yeah, I hate those.
I never even got "smart."
All I ever got was a paper filled with
"quiet" and "nice."

How is "quiet" even a compliment!?

This was in HS, though, and we actually did one not too long ago in my SG thinger, and people were more creative than "quiet" and "nice" cos that was srsly all I got. =o

LOLOL!
HS kids are so uncreative, so you'll have to excuse them.
They dislike thought, is all. =D
Everyone gets better.
