It was time for winter to be over. Living on the beach was much less exciting when you couldn't go in the water, and alternately much more exciting when it snowed so bad that Henri had to stay up all night to man the lighthouse. The poor man was sick and tired of it.
"So I can pick anything?" Izzy asked, holding his hand as they entered the town's obligatory enormous toystore.
"Anything within reason. No giant robots."
"I don't want a big scary robot."
"You say that now." In his mind, Henri imagined the myriad robotic ride-ons and fake pets that were so popular with spoiled kids these days. He'd have to hack off an arm to afford one of those.

In the toy store was a tall man with dark hair and a look that was an odd mix of being very wild and very elegant. Beside him floated something much more interesting, however - a small boy with long black hair and pink skin. It wasn't the soft pinkish hue that was a normal human skintone, oh no, it was bright flippin pink. And to top it off, he had a floaty tail like a genie.
Wynn looked around brightly, searching through large bins of plushies for something his mother or brother might like. Deimos was terrified of EVERYTHING and Jiang was almost as bad. So finding a gift for them was somewhat hard to do. It was rather amusing for Reumiae to watch his son diving into the huge bins of toys and coming out with something from the bottom, discarding it as 'not perfect for them' and diving back in. Every time he went in, the toddler phased through all of the other toys to find the hiding ones, and all that could be seen of him during his dives was the curly little genie tail left behind. It was almost cute.

Izzy was considering a new stuffed animal for her bed, and as they approached that section of the store she saw...something pink. There was a man, and he was watching something pink wiggle around in the plushie bin. She stopped mid-stride and tilted her head, which of course brought Henri to question her.
"What is it? Do you see something?"
Izzy just pointed, and as if on cue the pink squiggle became a pink boy and soon enough a pink squiggle again. She sure was seeing some strange people nowadays...
Regardless, she wanted to look at the plushies and she definitely wanted a closer look at the pink squiggly boy. She approached the bin and began to pick through, wrinkling her nose at the cutesy pink animals she would never, ever want in her room.

As she happened to touch on one animal, the pink squiggle popped up again as a pink boy, holding it. "This one!" he said happily, looking at it before noticing Izzy. "Oh hi!"

Frankly, the little chiton girl had not been expecting that. That was like a horror movie, good grief! She managed to compose herself after a moment or two, although she took a step or two back.
"Uh...hi!"

The boy didn't seem to notice why this was at all odd and smiled at her. "You weren't gonna take this one, were you?" he inquired, indicating the light pink and sparkly plushie he was holding. He smiled again after that, "I'm Wynn by the way. What's your name?"

"No," Izzy said honestly. There was a place for sparkly unicorns and pink plushies, but her bed was not it.
"I'm Isabella an' how do you do that?"

"Oh good. I think my Mama'll like it. Chu think, Daddy?" he said, turning to show the plush to Reumiae. The man nodded quietly, smiling at his son and trying to not interfere with the interaction. Wynn didn't know many people who weren't his brother, so it was good to let him meet other kids.
"Nice'ta meetcha!" turning back to Izzy, he grinned happily before looking dumbfounded. "Do what?'

Wynn looked dumbly at her for a few moments before trying to consider an answer. "ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm......dunno. Just do." he shrugged before smiling. "What're you lookin for? I'll help."

...well, fine then. The boy must be able to go through things like she was able to hold onto things. It was as simple as that.

"Oooh. I'm getting two things - one for my mama and one for my brother. Cause they don't like goin out so they need stuffs at home to keep them happy." Wynn explained with a knowing nod.

"Lame. My friend Zach and I do all kinds of exciting things outside. I live on the beach. Well, we have a house, but it's right there."
