 It was beginning to be later in the day, not quite twilight, but the sun was on her way to heading to bed. Mani was lounging under a tree, remarking to herself how today seemed to fly by. Though she had woken up a little later than usual, so that may have contributed to it. The fact that the female cheetah usually tended to retreat to daydreaming while she walked, further the speeding of time. Too her anyhow. For some it may see as though daydreaming does no such thing. The cheetah's tail twitched. Mani was sort of sad, for she hadn't see another soul in awhile. She did and didn't mind too much, and such a confliction confused her sometimes. Mani knew that sometime or another she'd meet someone. All good things come with time.

Dysini'mbus moved with a sort of lazy grace as he padded along the savanna. he was alone, as he usually was when he was traveling. The male was a solitary creature, but not necessarily by choice, but had no fixed home to speak off, too intrigued with the idea of travel and moving around.
He was, however, a social person. He loved people, but had no travel companions to walk with, so it was usually up to him to find someone to talk with or to interact with while he was traveling.
The silence around the leopard was getting annoying, so as he walked, the leopard began to hum. It was no fixed tune, and it wasn't that well hummed but it was noise at least.

Mani had rested her head on her paws. The dark coloured cheetah had already started the process of zoning out into La La Land. She'd done it so often, that it was never a long process. Mani's ear twitched almost in tune with her tail, almost reflecting her heartbeat.
Music always influenced her daydreaming, or.. dreaming in general, so there was always a tune in her head as she became inattentive. Her ears twitched again. Often times, you may think it weird to zone out, but still be thinking. It's not as hard as you may think.
Mani raised her head a little. Music. There was more than one tune floating around in her head. She shook her head, and the other tune disappeared but.. another she still heard. Her head inclined to the direction of the melody.

Dysi was not a musician by any stretch of the imagination, so the tune was rather dull and his voice was too gruff to sound appealing. The male simply disliked silence, and it was easier to hum then it was to talk to himself, since that would just make him look crazy, should he stumble across anyone.
His paws hit the ground in a soothing rhythm, more musical to him then the humming was. The sounds of his paws hitting dirt, or grass, or rocks as he walked had always been a soothing sound to the male, ever since he was a cub and had traveled on his own for the first time.
Of course, that didn't mean that he didn't miss company, he much preferred it when his daughter traveled with him, her gentle chatter was more amusing to listen to then his nonsensical attempts at music. Shaking his head, trying to dispel his melancholy thoughts, he caught a glimpse of something from the corner of his eye. Slowing to a walk, then finally stopping with a graceful movement that seemed as natural as continuing to walk, he peered towards the sight. It was...a cheetah. He blinked, wondering why he hadn't scented her earlier, but he supposed his thoughts had been quite dominating.
"Greetings," he called out, knowing his voice would carry across the distance towards her.

Mani's ears swiveled forward as a salutation floated into her head. She'd turned her head to see the handsome stranger. A leopard? She hadn't seen a leopard around here before. Then again, she hadn't really seen much of anyone around as of late. Mani rose to her feet, since it was only polite since the stranger was already on his.
" Hello. " the female cheetah replied back. She hoped her voice hadn't been too loud. Well, it always sounded loud to here, but quiet to everyone else, so she'd hoped the male could hear her just fine.
Mani thought is was sort of interesting that even though she'd been in La La Land,l she'd hear his tune, but not his scent. Surely, she couldn't have been that distracted? ...Quite possibley. However, as she now looked at the stranger, she'd hoped he was nice.

She did not seem aggressive straight away, which was a good thing, he mused to himself as he padded closer. Her voice was faint, so he had to move closer to hear her properly. Was she normally quiet or was she nervous? He wasn't sure, but he didn't want to miss anything she said.
"Beautiful day," he remarked as he drew closer, to make small talk, though he hated the stuff personally. It was usually a good ice breaker and he didn't really want to straight out ask what a pretty thing like her was doing all by herself, as that made him sound quite strange and possibly stalker-ish.

Mani smiled happily when she heard the stranger talk back to her in a nice tone. Since he was heading toward her, she thought it would be a good idea to walk toward him as well. A leopard. And a cute one to boot. mani hoped that her voice wasn't too quiet.
" Indeed it is. " Mani replied simply. She did agree. It was a rather nice day. It was hot, but not excruciatingly hot, as per usual.

She was a sweet little thing, he mused, much different from many females he had met. Though he did not seem the type who surrounded himself with other types of females, he did enjoy a sweet girl every once in a while. Her smile was very gentle and honestly happy. It was a pleasing sight.
"My name is Dysini'mbus," he introduced himself, coming to a stop not far from her. "May I know your name?" he asked, with a slight smile on his own face. His eyes were gentle and appreciative now, taking in her pleasing coat and expression.

Mani's socked legs stopped when the male was close enough to her, his voice sounded very nice to her cute lil' purple ears. First time in a long while that she'd come across someone, and it just happened to be a handsome leopard.
Her black tail curled a little, " You may. My name is Mani. It's a pleasure to meet you. "

Dysi was pleased at her readiness to be close to him, though it was not an overly familiar gesture, it was simply a attempt to form an acquaintanceship.
"Mani," he repeated her name, her name slipping from his tongue easily. "A nice name," he remarked lightly before adding, "Ah, I forgot. If you wish, you may call me Dysi, as my name can be...quite a mouthful." He gave a slight grin, knowing many struggled with his full name. He disliked the meaning of his name, but he liked how it sounded, so he would always introduce himself as 'Dysini'mbus' before mentioning his name, a tribute to his mother who had named him, he figured.

Mani smiled back to him, the usual gentle smile that was reflected in her eyes and even, somehow; in the way she stood. " As is your name, Dysi. " She'd seen a few leopards in her life, but none as cute as this one. The scattered patches of blue spots on his mainly white coat pleased her. It was cute. She didn't see much white fur, unless it came from large animal than herself. The spots were just cute in a way she couldn't figure out.

He was faintly amused at how little she spoke, though she wouldn't begrudge her for it. Perhaps she simply wasn't comfortable in his presence yet? No matter, he could talk for them both, until she was ready to speak up.
"I was doing my usual walk, as I do most mornings, when I caught sight of you," he told her, quite honestly and without a hint of perverted intent. He had simply been quite interested in her, and curious now. "What are you doing out here?" he asked, trying to get her to come out of her shell a little.

Mani tilted her head slightly, getting a good look at the leopard and his beautiful eyes. She was pleased that he was being friendly with and not trying to chase her away, as most seemed to do. " I was merely lounging around, letting my imagination get the better of the day. I am more often than not, on my own. So, I tend to daydream a lot. " Despite the fact that it made the cheetah a bit sad to be alone all the time, it didn't bother her too much. She knew that sometime or another, someone would cross paths with her.

Dysi smiled at her. "Daydreaming? That sounds like fun. It is not something I often find myself doing, though it does sound like an fun past time. Were you daydreaming of anything in particular?" He asked, sounding curious. He hoped it wasn't rude to ask her. He did not find himself daydreaming often, too busy with his walking or spending time with other people. He enjoyed spending time in other peoples company, to spend enough time alone to daydream.

" Not today. Today, my mind was just wandering, even though my feet had stopped walking. " Mani replied in a friendly tone. Since she was usually on her own, her imagination is what kept the cheetah company. Keeping her..possibly sane in a way. But that was one way of looking at it. It felt good to talk to someone, instead of phantom conversation in her head.
