Pilate was out on the hunt again. Raising four little ones had her out quite a bit. After all, they couldn't hunt for them selves.
The green cheetah had been following a small group of zebra. Watching the young very closely, for the moment any one of the babies slipped away from mommy, it was dinner time. Pilate set her self very close to the ground and just watched.
The zebra seemed to be sticking close to the group though. Was fine, she had all day.

Honap had been traveling for quite some time now. Some times his wild dog friend would escort him, and some times not. The creature was whimsical like that.
He'd met a cheetah though, and not any cheetah, a babe of a cheetah. And now his song sung. He was inspired to go minstraling once more.
So he sang loudly as he went. So loud that it spooked a group of zebra.

Pilate had to jump out of harms way. Some ... singing? had spooked the zebra and now they were charging her way. Good thing it was just a small herd. Still, she'd been stalking that group just about all day.
Who in the world had the nerve to mess up her kill? The cheetah scanned the horizon and found her offender. She marched on over to him.
"Excuse me !" She hmphed.

Honap turned his head to see who was talking to him. Another cheetah female? She was cute , but he had eyes already for another.
"Yes?" He tilted his head at her.

Pilate usually was an easy going cheetah was pissed off right now. She had cubs to feed after all any parent would have been mad when their children were denied something.
"You just rudly scared off a kill." She took a seat and stared daggers at him. Pilate was not happy.

Honap frowned. He couldn't help his song though, he was just to happy. But.. he could see where this young female would be upset with him. The blue male sighed.
"I didn't mean to.. I didn't even know that there were any hunters around. You blended in quite well." He gave her a small smile.

The female got up and took a step forward. Really getting into his personal bubble.
"Well excuse me for being an amazing hunter." Modesty.. whats that? "You don't go singing near a herd of animals that could easily spook. Thats common sense."
The female pouted some.
"I have cubs I have to feed." She pouted more.

The cheetahs ears went back at that. He hadn't known but now this female was so mad at him. Oh no, what to do what to do. Honap couldn't go and bring back her heard of zebra.
"Maybe.. I can help you out with food .. maybe.." What was he saying?

The female still frowned. It was the best he could do she guessed but Pilate was still mad. Zebra meat would have been nice, what was he gonna pull out of his a** to make up for that?
"Alright fine. You can help me." She growled near the end of her sentence.

The male sighed, " Where do you want to go look for some food."
He felt defeated for what ever reason. He was not up for this... He wanted to run around and sing. Pout pout.
Ah well, he'd messed up this females hunt, might as well try to make it better.

Pilate shook her head, " I don't know. I'd been following that herd for quite some time today. " She was getting madder and madder thinking about the time she'd spent following that herd. Pilate had been sure tthat her cubs were going to have rich zebra meat.. but now she wasn't sure if they'd get to eat at all. It just .. burnt her.
"You have any ideas?" The female growled.

Sheesh this chick was touchy. Honap chewed his lip and thought. He wasn't sure either, but there had to be something right?
"Why don't you walk with me and we'll see what we can find for your cubs..." He offered.

The female closed her eyes, and finally nodded. "Sure.... lets go.." There wasn't much else to do . Yelling at this dunder head was not about to get them fed.
She was so upset though. The perfect kill gone.

The male nodded as well and got up and started off. There was no aim in his direction but maybe they'd happen upon something. He could only hope, the cheetah felt so bad.
Pilate started off after the male. She was pissed for sure but deep down the female knew that the male hadn't meant it. And she kept on telling her self that over and over to prevent her self from leaping and attacking this male.
She was heart broken over the thought that her cubs might go hungry.
Honap frowned as he went. He could only hope that he could find something nice for this female. Seriously, he knew what it was like to go with out as a cub. Honap respected the mother for taking such charge.
So on the two went in search of something for the mothers cubs to eat.
