 Caelius had found a nice patch of new grass to lay on in the late winter sunshine. It was still cold but the warm rays gave him a plesant temperature. Smiling to himself as he enjoyes lazing in the sun, his small deer tail flicking as she relaxes. Nipping at the grass shoots, not really hungry but it oddly entertaining.
Looking up at the clouds, having learnt to read them from the human that had raised him, seeing what the future held. Not that it was an exact thing, though he did seem to have a pretty good intuition for the skill. Tilting his head as she sees some interesting patterns in the clouds overhead. Standing up and looking round to see if there were any other shapes he should see. Smiling as she sees the other form he was hoping to see. "So a new friend will appear soon, that will be nice." Stretching and having a shake, liking the idea of meeting someone new.

The winter spoke to her much in verses like her grandmother did. Though her father wasn't too keen about Muse's little problem, Glory at least understood her granddaughter. This gave the little mare confidence past the insanity others were charging her with. As she walked along she tried ignoring the bickering from her side. Others couldn't see this nuisance but Muse could.
Story had been with Muse from birth. Even in her basket Muse had never been alone. Yet no others would state they saw this strange friend of the little purple mare. Hence poor Muse's dismay in trying to get others to believe she wasn't crazy. To her Story was quite loud when it came to attention. Muse just assumed it was due to Story being "invisible".
So the little mare tried to go about her way thinking about other things such as the winter along with forgetting Story's ranting.
"So why are we going this way again?"
Muse sighed as she responded with a flick of her ears, "Because you never know whom you may run into or what for that matter. Its an adventure Story. You just have to try and find the lighter side like grandma always says."
"And you really believe all that? I mean about always finding magic in everything? You honestly think she knows I'm here as you are? How do I know you aren't the imaginary one Muse"
Muse looked at her friend frowning, "I don't know Story. I don't know anything, yet I believe it will all work out in the end." She sighed then noticed the stallion not too far from where she was arguing. Ignoring Story she stepped forward to greet the new creature.
"Hello there. I'm Muse. Who are you?" she asked with a smile as she shook her head letting her long tresses slide over her neck and shoulders. If anything Muse was glad for a diversion in this mess.

Cael looked up as he was addressed by a long haired mare, standing up as was polite, well at least that is what he had observed from the humans. Smiling in a friendly manner at her, having been caught by surprise, but it was a nice surprise, though he was totally unused to anyone walking up to him and offering a greeting. He wasn't sure why but most seemd more shy and skittish. Though he somehow doubted it was him, as far as he was aware he didn't look dangerous or mean, but maybe the reddishniss of hos coat made people wairy.
"Hello Muse, I'm Cael, its lovely to meet you." His small dear tail twitching a little, always happy to find out the clouds had been right. And if that had been then new friends were on the horisen. He wondered if any more friends would be turning up today. Though one new friend was wonderful enough. Trying to think of something to say, he still wasn't very good at conversations yet. "Umm... Are you out enjoying the sunshine too?" Pretty sure that was a silly thing to ask, though at worst she would laugh at him. Besides he needed practice at talking to people and having conversations.

Diversion. Yes this was perfect. Just don't let on it was one and you're fine. That and its always a treat to meet another in the same day as choosing a new adventure. Okay so Story had made her miserable, but this new stallion Cael seemed very nice. So why not spend some time in ones busy life and make a new friend. Now there was a terrific idea compared to the earlier part of this adventure.
Eyes shining brightly Muse accepted his greeting in return with a soft yet contagious smile that took over her whole features. That which made her markings shine brighter as her eyes twinkled in gratefulness. She looked side ways only a bit to see Story growing more jealous. Just so her "friend" kept things to a minimum. Hey maybe he'd appreciate her company too, right?
"Nice to meet you as well Cael" she replied with a soft nod of her head as her ears flicked along with her movement. She loved meeting new faces and getting to know them. As a foal Muse had no time to meet other foals, so she just made up time as she went along.
Story bared her teeth at Muse which the little purple mare ignored fully. Paying more attention to Cael she wanted to ignore the looks she got.
"Sunshine?" she repeated with a toss of her mane, "Why yes. Even though snow is coming the sun is always a treat to be out in isn't it? It looks as if you too are enjoying the sun too, right? Are you new around here Cael?"
Okay Muse got a little hyper sometimes in her questions but it was just part of her nature. That was pardoned in the others' eyes unlike Story who right about now had narrowed eyes and a temper Muse wanted to go away from there.
This wasn't going to turn out well, she just knew it.

Nodding in responce to her question, unable to stop his smile brightening as she smiled, it was indeed infectious. "Yes its wonderful to feel the suns warmpth at all especially as the winter has been so dark and cold. I'm definately looking forward to summer." Grinning at the thought od sunny green days and trees laden with fruit and nice fresh grass, swimming in the lake and river. Getting a faintly dreamy look as all this passes through his head. Focusing back on her, hoping that he hadn't been rude, pretty sure he had only drifted for a moment.
"I am new around here, though its proving interesting to meet people and discover the area, I'm definately enjoying making friends though so far I've only managed to befriend a foal I found lost in the woods. We had a wild adventure on the way back to her herd." Chuckleing and blushing a little, not sure why he thought she might be interested, but it was true, so far the foal was the only friend he had made, though as he thinks about it saying something like that probably just made him seem weird.
Cael couldn't see or hear story but he was getting the feeling that something was wrong, though he wasn't sure why, but he got the impression that Muse was uneasy. "I'm sorry if I've said something that has made you uncomfortable." His eyes concerned as he looks at her. Not backing off physically, but if she gave any indications that he should back off then he would leave her be, he was not the type of guy to impose on another.

"Oh he's an odd one isn't he?" she smirked with a toss of her head.
Muse hissed under her breath which was more of a clearing of her throat to another set of ears. Story was a pest and yet no one could see her. What gives Muse contemplated deeply that she was born with this creature. But no that wasn't right for her birth was announced along with two brothers. Then were did this mare come from and why couldn't she be seen? Glory was the only one that believed Story could be real. But how could something be real when it wasn't seen?
"Well he's odd... reminds me of one of those land grazers not like us."
Muse rolled her eyes and paid attention to her new friend. Story would get a little more irritated but she'd just have to get over it.
"Well I don't have many friends myself Cael..." she paused then looked sideways at the air which as Story of course, "I seem to have a problem that others can't see or understand." She muttered that last part with a sigh knowing just mentioning story was going to get her in trouble again. Quickly she jumped to another subject.
"Oh no no you haven't made me uncomfortable" she bit her bottom lip and sighed, "Um Cael do you believe in imaginary beings? Well like ghosts maybe?" she asked with a nasty acid in her stomach. Yeah she knew she wasn't supposed to mention it but maybe just maybe... Story wasn't a figment of her imagination. Perhaps she was truly real and only those that believe could actually see her? Well in any case bringing it up was done and over with minus pointing Story directly out.

Cael continued to smile kindly, noticing that this mare had some oddness to her though he didn't mind, he was a little odd himself, afterall not many soquili wandered around looking at the clouds and finding answers to questions there.
"Is it a problem I can help with? Tilting his head, thinking that he would at least make the offer, he probably couldn't be of any help but sometimes it was enough to know someone wanted to help and cared a little.
"I believe there are more things in this world than any of us can see or understand. You can't see the wind but it can have massive effects on things." Not sure if she was meaning something specific but then again there was losts of things out there in the world. Giving a reasuring smile. "If you believe something is real then it is, and anyone that says differently does so because they arent open minded about all the possibilities that the world can offer."
Hoping he hadn't just put his foot in his mouth. Though he couldn't help believing in things that were other. He found the idea that there was more out there than could be seen comforting.

"Oh boy here we go again. Let's try to soothe Muse's insanity. Helloooooooooo antler boy. She's not nuts! She sees the truth do you I wonder. Geez Muse where do you find these Good Sumeritans huh?" she rolled her eyes as her wings spread in mockery to both grounded creatures.
Muse kept her thoughts about Story closed to a hush. He was tolerable about this quaint little problem, but for how long? What should she do the little mare wondered immensely. Ignore story that's what. Who cared if she had wings, a horn, was downright better at everything then poor Muse. But here was a question Story never answered... Why didn't Story just up and fly away? Why was she a constant companion and nuisance over all?
"Why not let me bite him like I did the other stallion. He needs to wake up to reality someday."
"NO!... What I mean is no you're not weird Cael. But you do have a point. Um what if I told you there's another mare trying to bite you? Would you think me crazy for asking that" she asked with wider eyes wondering if he could feel Story. Perhaps it more so that the more people realized Story was real... she would become real. But that meant she could bite and be mean... but to let Story be happy might be better... Oh what was she to do?
"I mean... well.." she frowned remembering being laughed at for mentioning Story, "Its complicated..." she frowned then turned her gaze on Story, "Really complicated...".

(I'm sorry that its quite short, but hes not really sure what to do now) Cael actually looks worried now, not liking the idea of being bitten but there were worse things that could happen. Though this isn't why he looked worried... His concern was for the little mare, she looked like something was crushing her, wondering what could be plaguing such a lovely mare. He couldn't see Story but he could almost feel her temper and mood, not sure what it was but it gave him the impression that it was squashing the spirit out of the young mare. Sighing softly feeling a pang of protectiveness towards Muse. "Bite me huh.. well let her then, if I could find her I'd just bite her back." Not liking the sound of this mare, especially if she was the weight that seems to be pressing on Muse.
Not sure what else to say or do, though if the mare was picking on him, maybe she would leave Muse alone for a while, she looked like he needed a rest from whatever the other was doing. Trying to think of something fun to suggest, but not knowing what she liked it was going to be hard. Cael just wanted to find something to do that would cheer Muse up.

Muse looked from Cael to Story and back again shaking her head. This was getting way too weird. But one thing she wasn't going to stand for was Story hurting her friend.
"Cael no.... you don't want her to bite you!" she said in a quick reply. Tossing her long forelock away from her soft blue eyes she sighed, "Story stop it! Stop trying to egg him on. I don't understand what it is you have against friends I make. Its almost like you're jealous I'm around others than YOU." She snorted and stamped a hoof narrowing her eyes.
"Why can't you be... nice?" she murmured then turned to Cael sighing deeply, "I'm sorry she's acting like this."
Story rolled her eyes letting herself flicker just a hint. Cael will think he saw something perhaps an illusion. Smirking she spread out her wings and lightly touched his side.
"They think you childish Muse. They think you insane that I breath air... but do they believe their eyes? Do they stay firm to believe an imaginary thing can exist? Their little simpleton brains can't comprehend what isn't there." She mused in a jovial mood tossing her head as the tiny tinkling charms within her hair made a soft chime.
"Let us see if I am real Muse. Then we will discuss other things you seek an answer for. If he truly can see me tell him to announce what he sees. I'll know if he's even worth either of our time." Story stood waiting to see what this male would do. She didn't speak outward like she had with the other male. This time Story decided to try a different tactic.
Muse shook her head then looked to Cael apologetically, "She wants to know how you see her. Well I mean what she looks like".
The little purple mare was so confused at what was occurring yet she wondered deep down what story was doing. Was Story up to something or was this another sure fine way to make Muse look like the one at fault yet again? Whatever was conspiring she hoped it wouldn't end in a bad way.. which most of the time it always had.

Cael blinked after another soquili flicked into his vision for a moment only to disappear again, the brush against his side making him look down. Looking up to where the winged mare "vision" had been. "Please don't do that." His tone pleasant enough, even though the brush of her wing had left him distinctly chilled. His eyes going back to Muse when she started addressing him again.
Smiling at Muse gently. "You have nothing to be sorry for, and you shouldn't apologise for others that don't deserve it." Getting the impession from the comments to the unseen being that this Story was nothing but a pain to this young mare. "Well I only got a glimpse of a few seconds but I saw a blue mare, with pinkish wings, and white curled hair." Not able to tell how many wings or markings or anything like that, not even having caught that she had a horn. But for a few seconds he was rather pleased with what he had seen. And he was pretty sure he had seen it, knowing he wasn't prone to imagining things, but then he also saw and understood things others didn't.
Smiling at Muse again, pretty sure in his description, though it might not be detail specific, but it was the best he could do without a slightly longer look. Though smiling he was watching Muse, seeing the worry on her face and the thoughts and feelings flickering in her gentle eyes. Wondering how long she had been living with such a chain bound around her, no wonder she was quiet and shy.
