Hey everyone! I'm back!!! Didn't know I was gone? Well....SHAME ON YOU!!!(not really, it's only been a few days.)
Why a whole thread just to announce my return you ask? Well i was gonna tell you, hold your horses!! It's kind of interesting.
Okay well, it all started Thursday. I got the news that we were going to be expecting a BIG snowstorm this weekend, and set out to prepare for it. Plans were made, did all my shopping, and got home and watched the weather. On Friday morning, I continued watching the weather, hoping it would snow before i went to work, asking around how road conditions were, going over all the road plans, and trying to figure out what would happen in bad weather. 03o after consoling lorika (who told me to just not go to work, which i SHOULD have listened to) I set off and went to work. getting there was no problem, it was snowing, but not laying on the road. So i had to rely on customers and my managers to give me road updates.
Well.....all that failed. I ended up staying my whole shift because my managers were joking around to much and not helping me watch the roads. So after i left I CAREFULLY drove on the highway, which were horrible and I was sliding, but stable. It was only after I got off the highway and was halfway home did problems occur, but I'm a good driver, and got through them. Then, as i went over a small bridge (F-CKING HATE BRIDGES) i slid and almost hit a guardrail. Scary...yes...so i pulled off to the side of the road and turned on my hazard lights. Not more then 15 seconds later I was rear ended. 03o No one was hurt, we were both fine. My bumper was/is cracked all over the driver side and it knocked my licenses plate with the mount off (which i didn't know till later and had to go back to get). So after all the info was traded, i just decided to go to my bro's house in town, instead of trying to drive up a mountain.
So that's where i've been, literally snowed in for a few days. It's been a crazy weekend and hopefully i can get pics. ^.^ but i'm back ALMOST. My car is literally buried under the snow, so i have to go back to my bro's and dig it out. I should be back tomorrow at the latest. I have my laptop though, so i'm happy again

So happy you are ok!!!!!!!!
Driving in snow is scary enough on town roads in a huge storm, let alone going up a mountain!

I'm so glad to hear that you're okay!! It can be dangerous out there, even though I have no snow experience what-so-ever (you and I are in the same boat, Bapp; Cali has no snow unless its in the mountain area). But I do have to say that it's rather funny (and sad, I do sympathize) that you have to literally dig your car out. But you know what you got out out of this event? A story to tell us!! 3nodding And to tell other people, of course. If any of that is consolation ^_~

Every season is summer.
The coldest it can get is when its raining, and the temperature still doesn't change that much.
Why must this country be so near the stupid equator?!

lol yeah, i'm alright. ^.^ it's just a LOT of snow. They say it's some kind of historical event now. 03o take THAT old people! now i've walked through a blizzard.(my parents always say "when i was your age blah blah in snow)
@lorika: it's always scary to be in an accident, but I handled it well considering it was my first ever accident.
@fel: XDD yeah, that's why I haven't attempted it yet. From what I can tell, plows are having a tough time with this.
@bapp: lol do you WANT SOME? we are getting another snowstorm that could dump 6-10 more inches or more on top of the 20 inches to 3 feet we already have.
@Eva: lol it will be funny after all the work is done. and happy birthday 03o one day late

OMG, THANK YOU LORIKA!! I so didn't see that until today! lol *hugs really tight* Thank you!!! heart
And to Bapp again, I'm sorry its so hot. But if the equator is the excuse for your location, why is California so hot?? At least winters here are foggy and dead lol (Fave season, but snow would pull it together. It hasn't snowed in the valley in a decade!*)
*Note: it snowed an inch and lasted half a day lol

Wahh?! You live in Cali too?? Awesome!! I am a huge Californian-pride girl, ever since I took California Agriculture class back in '05. The only other place I would want to live is Alaska, but California is my home, and always has been. I live in the San Joaquin valley, smack-dab in the middle! lol Feline Godess I love living in SoCal!!!! Because you get four seasons a year.
