This is routine; these rules are common sense, but you'd do well to remember them as you post!
These rules are in no particular order.

Everyone loves a good contest.
The ones in this thread range from simple things like bumping and dice-rolling, to TekTeks and art contests, to the secret contests.
In the secret contests that will pop up every now and again, you can win a fair chunk of gold! Why are they secret?
To be honest, I haven't decided what they are yet! ._______.
But be patient, and I'll have them set up!

[Bumper cars]
While you are bumping, please keep a counter as you post, ie. bump 1, bump 2, etc. That way we can make sure no one cheats!
The bumps do not have to be consecutive, just keep counting on from where you left off the last time you bumped.
10 bumps - 500g
25 bumps - 750g
50 bumps - 1000g
100 bumps - 2500g
250 bumps - 5000g
500 bumps - 7500g
You can continue your bumping chain after you have bumped 10 times to get the 100 bumps prize, and again from these to 250 bumps, etc.
[Random number generation]
Make sure when you post, you select the random number generator option, and set it to the required numbers.
NOTE: You can generate random numbers and enter the bump contest at the same time! Just post as you normally would for the bump contest, and generate at the same time! The same applies for dice rolling and bumping ^^
Generate a number between 1 and 100:
Number 25, 50 or 75 - 100g
Number 33, 66 or 99 - 250g
Number 15 - 500g
Generate a number between 1 and 500:
Number 100, 200, 300, 400 or 500 - 500g
Number 50, 150, 250, 350 or 450 - 750g
Number 15 - 1000g
Generate a number between 1 and 10000:
Number 2500, 5000 or 7500 - 2000g
Number 15 - 5000g
[Dice rolling]
This time, select roll dice, and choose the number of sides and the number of dice specified.
Roll six 4-sided dice to get a total of 12 - 100g
Roll ten 10-sided dice to get a total of 50 - 250g
Roll twenty 10-sided dice to get a total of 100 - 500g
Roll twenty 100-sided dice to get a number ending in 3 or 7 - 1000g
Roll twenty 100-sided dice to get a total of 20, 500, 1000, 1500 or 2000 - 2500g
Roll twenty 100-sided dice to get a consecutive chain of numbers ending in 1, 2 and 3 in your numbers, or 3, 2 and 1 - 5000g

These come about every so often, on special occasions like Christmas, or on the guild's anniversary, etc.

[Easter Egg hunt]
It's here!
The GGGG Easter Event 2010.
This event will run throughout April.
During this time, several questions will be posted in this thread, riddles, etc.
It's your job to find the answers to these questions, and post them as soon as possible.
For each correct answer, you gain 100g.
The number of correct answers will be tallied up, and at the end of the event, prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
Here is an example of how the questions will be posed:
Oh snap! It's an Easter conumdrum!
The Easter Bunny says:
Insert question here.
Hop to it!
Once you know the answer to the question, you should quote the post and type your answer beneath it.
If you get it right, then your name will be added to the tally.
All gold will be awarded at the end of the event.
The prizes for the event are as follows:

Basically, staff are here to check that no one breaks the rules. That's about it really. If you have an issue, talk to one of the staff, preferably iMonochromatic (that's me!)
However, if you want to apply to become a thread moderator, you need to fulfill these criteria:
[1] You need to have had several posts in this thread, and I'm not including bumping.
[2] Significant guild contribution would be nice.
[3] Above all, you must be a friendly person, who doesn't mind policing this thread every so often.
If you think you fulfill all of the above, you should send me a PM titled 'Application for staff post', explaining why you think you'd do a good job, and I will consider your application.
