Pink tail fluff tickled her toes as the adult lioness gave a wide yawn while resting lazily under the tree. She had traveled far the past few days, and she must admit this morning was one of her more pleasant ones. The air was cool and painted in early morning pastels, a lovely change from the dry savannah heat. And the terrain, oh it was so lush in tall grass and fruitful trees.
Smiling to herself, Kusu remained seated in the cool grass to enjoy her time of relaxation. The sound of exotic birds chirping eagerly in the trees. The echo of hooves roaming the lands nearby in a calming drumming. It was so....peaceful.
And not a hint of the stench of hyenas anywhere. Oh how she loved it.

Awemu was old enough now to start going farther and farther from home without too much scolding when he returned. He found himself increasingly fascinated by the people he met, the things they'd tell him and show him even though they had only come across one another just recently.
There was so much world before him that Awemu had determined to be gone as soon as the sun rose and come back in enough time for the noontime sky and some family time. It was very important to him to also have family time, even if all he had were sister's to play with and they had varying degrees of annoyance levels.
Little did he know that he was about to disturb the pleasant musings of a dark blue coated woman. A task which he would no doubt regret soon.
He paused near this creature and looked her over, his mind almost as blank as his expression. "Hey," he grunted over to her, trying to be polite like he was supposed and failing in more ways than one.
